In reply to Silvanoire:
Are you using an addon called Flash Taskbar? Its possible since WIM now uses Blizzards MessageEventFilters to block delivery to the default chat frame.
What are you using for the flashing? maybe I can preserve support of it.
In reply to Silvanoire:
Never mind, I see why it isn't working and I will add a patch for that.
In reply to RealPazza: Thank you so much for responding so quickly, I can't imagine how busy you must be. It's only a small issue for me, but it does help when I'm occupied outside of the game. (and yes I do not use flash taskbar), but I see you already saw the problem. Can I ask when the patch will be released? (no pressure)
In reply to Silvanoire: it should be working in the latest update?
Hello, whenever I try to right click copy a character's name a I get an error. Am I doing something wrong?
I use ElvUI and global chat channel names used to be in short form [1], [2], [3] etc. now it has full name e.g. [2. Trade - City]. WIM is causing it - how can I fix it?
In reply to whtswg: try the beta, see if it fixes your problem.
In reply to RealPazza: beta fixed the problem, ty!
Is there anything I can do so that when I have WIM activated, it does not overwrite the ElvUI setting of not showing the Chat Names and just the Channel Number?
I'm playing Cata Classic and this is only once I activate WIM. I have also disabled all World Channel settings in WIM.
In reply to Nefaros: try the beta, let me know if that fixes the problem
In reply to RealPazza: Just installed the beta and I can confirm it is fixed. Thank you!
i noticed that the history only records what i say and not what the other person is saying anymore. This is after the aforementioned error i get when someone sends me a message
Receiving this error a lot lately. Anything I can do?

i have an issue when trying to send a link it adds {{HURL: 2] (is 2 boxes before the 2 but cant put)then links twice but the links are useless, if i look in history it appears right, just in chat window it fails
Update this morning, but still doesn't work to whisper players from other realm. It's worse than before the update as the first whisp doesn't work anymore: "player-realmname is no playing " in the chat windows
In reply to Kirothius:
Please provide more details. For example the name of the server that the target person is on. I tested this on retail with various server names (with spaces without spaces -- did not have any with apostrophes to test) and had no issue sending or receiving (initial whispers or replies). I initiated conversations from guild window, from right clicking target, from friends frame and from slash commands (/w name) -- albeit the slash commands utilized autocomplete. Blizzard might be scrutinizing that the format of the name is strict (ie spacing and case). I allow for an initial whisper to come in any format (ie all caps, all lower) and correct the name when a message is sent or received (blizzard sends the exact name on each of the events).
Please also specify which version of the game you are having the problem on (classic, retail, SOD, etc -- there ware way too many now).
anyone else have an issue were the icon doesn't lock in place, its not a big deal just annoying having to fix every time i log on / swap toons
Could we get an option to lock the position when it's detached from the map? Seems like it always moves from where I put it
This issue is happening on Cata Classic. It seems to be relating to reloading the UI or on a relaunch. You have to basically put it slightly above where you want it. Then it adjusts down. So it's a temporary fix basically.
Right-click on the guild chat name and select whisper. Window opens, text can be written, but is not sent, before the 10.2.7 update everything was ok.
Some players work, some others get a message at the bottom of the WoW chat that the player is not online. WIM works via the contact list
In reply to Wulfman2012: This should be fixed now.
