I'm quite sure it must be possible but I cannot find it.

Can I configure WIM to use the same history for all of my alts? So that when I switch my char and continue to chat with the same person, I see the history of what I wrote with the last alt?

When I update WIM I lose all of my history, I didn't know this until after it happened so now I know to backup before updating, but is there a location where the information may have remained, even if I can't view it in history viewer?

It isn't supposed to clear history. Might have been a problem with your saved variables. Anyone else have this problem? The only thing updated in this version was an updated LibWho, which apparently, another has been released this weekend.

The only time history was lost was when WIM 3 came out. It was rewritten form scratch and the format of the saved data was changed. So from TBC to Wotlk patch.

I dunno then. Can I get told what file has the text in it so I can see if I can manually extract it, or is it only readable by the program? It's happened to me on both updates I've had it through. It reset all of my settings too, as if I (I use the curse updater) deleted and replaced the whole file.

Is it possible to create an entirely new chat window replacing the defautl blizzard chat window.

I like the ability to add tabs for channels whispers per incoming user but adding another window to the game is undersireable for me.

I don't know for other localisations, but the addon works well now again on the EN-US-realms.

well i should have watched the video and I could have answered my won question.

But you are incorrect it does NOT replace the default chat window. It only allows you to create more windows thus cluttering the game window even more.

Pazza, Would you consider adding a button to the WIM "whisper" window to trigger Blizzards in game spam reporter whenever we are directly whispered/spammed by a gold seller?

I'll be in a raid and WIM will pop up a message from some level 3 warrior who has no business contacting me. Then I have to scroll through the Blizzard chat window history to find the offender, right click the character name (once found), then select the report spam function, then confirm the function. A lot of annoying steps that would be simplified with with a WIM mod.

Yes, I could set filtering to ignore messages from players below a certain level, however my kids make new toons all the time and I would hate to accidently block them.

I could also suppress popups during fights, but I like to be notified when other healers post to the healing channel during fights in case I need to give special attention to something.

Otherwise, I love this app. Please keep up the good work. Your effort is very much appreciated.

Issues with Shift-Clicking names in chat for character information should be fixed in this update. Thanks to Sylvannar (maker of Prat) for his continued effort of keeping LibWho-2.0 updated.
