The 'crash when minimised' thing can be stopped by disabling the window animation. I know cos I used to have the same problem.

What I want to know is how do you stop it automatically moving the cursor to a whisper box when someone whispers you?
Like you could be in the middle of typing something in guild chat, and someone whispers you, and the second half of the sentence ends up in their WIM box before you have even noticed. They get a confusing second half of a sentence and you have to retype the message again.

It is really annoying and I have tried all the options on and off to get it to stop, but it doesn't.
As an officer in my guild, I get a LOT of whispers, and this addon is one I can't live without, but this feature makes life very irritating lately. It has only done it with the new version since patch 3.0.1.

How do I delete the chat history? I've deleted WIM from my addon file and completely reinstalled it, but the old chat history is still there. Please help!

This already exists, and it works much better than it used to, the window actually pops exactly where you want it to.

can you implement the anchor for the WIM window again? i keep having to move it every time i get a new whisper.

My WoW crashes when I minimize.

Almost ever time i minimize the chat payne i get DCed! Not cool when in groups to run instances lol. Has anyone else had this happen to them? and if so how did u fix it, or could u fix it?

Yep... I've got the same Error (Disconnect) about 10 times today, when doing the same as you... :'(

A few suggestions, and I apologize in advance if any/all of these are already in the works:

Would be nice to see a feature where you can hit tab to scroll through recent people you've had conversations with, like the WoW default whisper system.

Minor, aesthetic thing: make it so it is compatible with prat (or other text addons) so that when the WIM window is suppressed (ie, in combat), the tells you get in your text box follow your regular formatting. Right now, when I get a tell while WIM is supressed, there is no time stamp and the person's class color (and main character's name, if applicable) don't show up.

Finally, is there a way to make tabs flash when you get a tell instead of that person's box moving up front? I thought I disabled the sort by most recent, but I still get interrupted mid-sentence when I'm typing to someone else and someone sends me a tell. It causes a lot of weird mistells.

Is there a way to have the "conversations in tabs" feature in the actual add on? If it's there, I can't find it. :S

At first WIM works fine, then when people whisper me, all I see is the same line over and over and over again. When I type something, its their line showing up again, when they type something else it's still that line that shows up.

I know what you mean by that. It's been doing it for a long time now. I've noted it down already here and so have others but we have yet to see a fix for it. I'm guessing it's a problem with other addons. I will give this a go and see how it works with only WIM enabled and everything else disabled. At first it was working fine but then it want back to...

I was like WTF it just won't stop. While this is happening, people are sending you messages but your not getting them. Then all of a sudden BAM! they all come out on the screen. I'm sure we're still in beta with WIM and doing the best we can to help. If this problem is not fixed by launch I'm sorry to say but you can't use this addon. It's too risky losing messages from people and being called a **** for not answering back lol. I was trying to figure out why nobody was messaging me back for BT Pug. I guess WIM pulled a fast one on me.

I am having this -exact- same issue ever since I updated WIM today. It's very frustrating. :(

Couple issues I'm having...
-Have to right-click and select whisper 2x before I get a WIM window to pop up.
-Seems to be blocking /who
-I'll notice my 'messages' prompt is flashing on the mini-map, but when I click on the 'Conversations' drop-down list, I have blank windows with no text in them.

Hmm, lately whenever I minimize (not close) WIM, Wow will crash with an Access Violation. The obvious difference between a minimize and close is the animation of the window. ???

I was having the same problem, but disabling the minimization animation has fixed it for now. See if that helps any.

I have some kind of problem where WIM is overlapping all my other windows inside wow. I think this is best described with a pic; so here it comes:

WIM is overlapping, in this example, the character info-screen, making me unable to go to any of the other tabs.

Anyone else having the problem of 1- or 2-second lockups with incoming whispers, or when switching to a tab that has a new whisper?
