Addon shows healthbars for every target in a raid and sorts these by how many are targeting that mob.
Hi I decided to try out this addon last night in a 10-man ToC run. It seemed to be working fine until we actually entered combat... at which point my fps dropped to 2 because my CPU got pinned. I'm guessing this was an infinite loop gone wrong?
I only tried this out on the twin valkyrs (had it disabled before that). When this problem came up I logged out and disabled it again.
Hi, Love this addon, how a question about changing the way it used the bars. If it can compare to who is targeting the mob, would it be able to set the bar as the "target of Party/raid member" Instead of creating a bar, thus allowing us to target it? Just change the way the bar is displayed, would still be the same thing right? Now I am assuming that by checking how many players are targeting the mob, that it also knows who is targeting the mob. Thus is should be able to be set as a Party Target instead of creating its own bar. I do not know the language enough to be sure on this, but it does seem logical. Anyhow, I do use it, and love it.
Because Blizzard removed that ability from the API.
You have not been able to click-target anything with anything other than player/party/raid frames (or replacements for them) since WoW 2.0 was released in December 2006.
Just out of curiosity (still learning lua and the WoW API), why can't you target them with these bars? Isn't this just like having nameplates showing but in one place on your screen?
Not had a dedicated raid for testing it within yet, only a quick VoA run yesterday but I like what I see. Would it be possible to target mobs via these bars in the future or would stuff like blizz's secure frames etc stop that happening?
Can you click on a mob's health bar to target it yourself? That would really be handy, especially for raids with multiple mobs bunched together so you don't have to waste time tabbing through them all to target the right one.
not possible with what blizzard allows us to do sry this is for display only so you can check that people are on the right target and that mobs die at the same time if need be
Wouldn't it be possible, then, to make a slight workaround to take any random (or the first on the list) person targeting that mob and make it /assist %n ? It's a cheap workaround, but it makes sense.
still won't work you can not have ANY automation like that. any secure things like being able to target something needs to be set before you enter combat and will miserably fail during combat (could even screw up other addons or your entire interface)
