Action Bar Saver

Table of Contents

Quick little mod, allows you to setup different profiles for your action bars. Mainly this is for hybrid classes that want to be able to respec without spending 10-20 minutes setting their action bars up. All you do is type /abs save <name> and it'll save the location of all your spells, macros and items.

For example, if you're currently a Feral Druid you can type /abs save feral then you can respec to Resto and setup your bars, then type /abs save resto once you go respec back to Feral you can then train all your spells again and type /abs restore feral and you'll get your feral setup without all the work of actually finding where you placed things.

Works with any custom interface like Bongos provided you're not using more then the standard 120 action buttons, ones that provided features to go past 120 will cause only the standard 120 to be saved/restored. This isn't a bug however, just a limitation in the WoW AP

Got version 4.10 yet is it just me or is anyone else having problems not being able to retrieve their saved ones the way they were saved and/or unable to have new ones saved the way they actually are?

Action bar saver stopped working with the latest patch (4.x).

It no longer will load or save action bars. It will list what's there, but won't accept the return key to load any longer.

Good news: Verions by ninjaslurpy works by itself.
Bad news: It need some tweaks to make it work with 3,x profiles. (Namely ignoring spell ID and calling spell by name)

Your file doesn't work for me so I spent some time fixing it.

Open the zip and overwrite your current ActionBarSaver.lua file. THIS IS FOR CATACLYSM ONLY. DO NOT OVERWRITE YOUR ABS FILE IN YOUR LIVE FOLDER.

Currently it works with Spells, Macros, Mounts, Pets, etc.

What it does not do is the new Flyout menus such as call pet and professions.

I have hacked together a kinda-working version for cata. This is only the .lua file. Use at your own risk. I am not the author of this addon. DO NOT USE ON PRE-CATA "Live" 3.x versions of WoW! ONLY USE IN CATA:

Install Action Bar Saver as normal, then replace the lua file in the addon folder with mine. This may not be compatible with older SavedVariables.

How can I restore profiles with the Lua action feature of the addon SetTheory?

The latest versions of both SetTheory (v0.5-release6) and ActionBarSaver (r20100719) support each other without needing to modify code or write Lua actions. Thanks to Shadowed for making the necessary change to ABS.

Hi, as yet another druid I am very happy with this addon. Is it normal that my game freezes for multiple seconds (like, around ten, I guess) when restore'ing profiles? Not really a big issue since this will not happen in combat or anything, but somewhat irritating, I guess.
