AdiCCMonitor
AdiCCMonitor helps you keeping track of group crowd-control spells.
Note : the spells are likely not up-to-date with MoP.
Features
It detects your own crowd-control spells and those of your party/raids and can provide feedbacks in two ways :
- icons: a bar of icons showing running spells, their target symbols, their caster and the remaining time.
- alerts: messages that can be sent to any channel (or chat window) for these events: spell applied/ended/broken, cast failures and about-to-end warning. There are no alerts for spells broken by players flagged as tanks.
AdiCCMonitor already comes with a bunch of options. Use /adiccmonitor, /acm or Interface options to open AdiCCMonitor configuration panel.
Known issues and limitations
- missing or wrong target symbol: even though AdiCCMonitor does its best to detect the target symbols, this data is sometimes unavailable. Mouse-hovering the target should allow it to catch up.
- inaccurate spell duration: the duration of some spells can be increased by talents. AdiCCMonitor uses the default duration until you mouse-hover or target the controlled creature. It will detect the accurate duration and remember it per caster. Also note that AdiCCMonitor does not track diminishing returns so it will probably be pretty inaccurate for players.
- inaccurate alert for broken spells: fear, hex and entangling roots do not break on first damage and there is no “broken spell” event form them in contrary to the other spells. AdiCCMonitor tries to guess when those spells are broken but in this case it does not know by who.

Thank you for updating! :)
Wondering if you're going to update this for Warlords.
oh you beauty, seems to be working very nicely now :)
i updated the list of cc spells (as many as i could lazily hunt down) to this, but a lot of them are still not showing up. polymorph and repentance are fine from what i have been able to see, but my freezing trap (spec'd to increase length or not, trap launcher'd or not) says no dice.
shame this addon is not updated, best cc monitor i've ever seen :(
Still no chance for an audio warning ?
You can get this to work by commenting out line 355 in icons.lua. It's the "cooldown:SetDrawEdge(true)". Blizz removed this function.
I was looking in TellMeWhen's files to see how he does it there, and he has a *big* long function to reproduce the functionality.
Hopefully someone competent (i.e., not me) can repair the sweep function.
Any updates planned in the near (or far) future?
Hey there,
just finished checking the things you requested. I tested all the options except the last two (raidwarnings was the last) with the "alternativ icons" checkd aswell as uncheckd. All working fine, showing the icons as is should. Just while checking the "raidwarnings" option, the same bug appeard as I mentioned bevore. And I made some screens to show you what I mean :)
Screen 1: Screen Screen 2: Screen Screen 3: Screen Screen 4: Screen
Pic 1 are the settings, in pic 2 you see how it looks like, in pic 3 you see how it should look like with a "test test" raidwarning, and in pic 4 you see (or should see) what is missing (in the chat) and wrong on the screen. The blue mark is to differentiate between RaidBuffStatus and your addon.
Cheers
Hey there,
so to 1) I have to say, I ame aware of this ;) as I am a Tank, I am an assistant aswell all of the time (and yes I checked it out too). I may be new at the addons-part, but I know the ingame features very well :) And to 2) as i already wrote up there, i know all you are just trying to tell me ;)
When I tested it, I was:
and I tryed writing just some normal stuff via /rw. The normal stuff went out as expected, just the warnings of your addon didn't.
Cheers
Just released 0.9.
I would like to know if the icons properly show in all outputs (e.g. “Channel” with “Party”, “Chat” or “Error frames”) while “Alternative symbol strings” is unchecked ?
So, there are two different, but related, things :
1) the raid warning chat channel: it is where the /rw command send messages. It requires you to be raid leader or assistant and broadcasts the messages to the whole raid. Every raid members will receive the message and have it displayed in their raid warning display area, using the orange color.
2) the raid warning display area: this is your local raid warning display area. This is where messages sent through /rw are displayed. Your addons can also add messages directly in this area, even if you are not in raid, but you won’t have the sound and nobody else will see them.
Hey Adirelle,
found the dropdownlist, thanx for that. Worked fine in the raid today. But when I choose the raidchannel for default, and I join a rnd-inigroup, where does it post the output then? Maby it is an idea to make an "if" "or" for this case. About the raidwarnings, it was in the right area, but it was not in the "normal" (orange) color, it was white, there was no "popup sound" and nobody else in the raid could see it. At least in 0.7 it was like this, haven't tried it in 0.8 until now.
And it would be nice implementing the (now) complete german translation in the next version :)
Cheers
@RogueChromie : the output is fully handled by a library called LibSink-2.0, so I have little control over it, the advantage being it automatically handles certain addons like MikSBT, Parrot or SCT. Please note there is a dropdown list to select the exact channel (raid / party / raid warning / whatever) when using the “Channel” output. Also the standalone “Raid warning” option should be the raid warning area of the screen, not the raid warning chat channel.
Hey there :)
I just updated the german translation "a bit". And I tested the Addon while raiding today. I'm gonna post my impressions here, hope you don't mind.
And thanks for implementing the requested feature :)
cheers
Ps: sorry for my bad english grammar :)
Hey there, really nice addon. Just a question, woult you mind adding an option to edit the space between the icons? I've tested it in the instances and raids a little and I was quite annoyed about when people with "longer" names do cc.
cheers
That's pretty annoying.
No it does not.

Unless you use some addon to fix it, the HUD chat bubbles don't display the icons. If I put "{rt1}", it displays "{rt1}" and not the associated icon. That's why I'm using the localized strings, that should display as icons in the chat frame and yet be meaningful in the chat bubbles.
Doesn't the german client properly display the icon in the chat frames ?
Hello again.
The sent warning text for MSBT says {totenkopf} instead of {rt8}. The german client uses {rt1} - {rt8}
thx for your work :-)
No problem about the timer bars, but...any chance we could get the minimum Icon size available to be something smaller than 32?
In addition to some people liking smaller icons, 32 pixel icon size is way (way) too large when using smaller screen resolutions.
