Plus many other options available through the built-in CVar browser, including some that have never been exposed by Blizzard, such as "violence level" and "nameplate distance"!
Type /aio for the main menu or /cvar to open the CVar browser directly
Action Cam doesn't appear to work. I change the setting in the options to "basic" (have also tried this with "full" and "default", click OK. Nothing changes. I go back into the settings and it's reset itself to "off". I recall reading somewhere that Blizzard removed the ability to have action cam (even via addons) a while back. Can anyone confirm if this is the case? If so the detail should be removed from the addon description. Thanks in advance :)
Ahh ok would you be able to message/link me the macro? Since hearing about the action cam I've always wanted to try it, but this addon doesn't seem to do it. Thanks :)
Type /cvar to open the cvar browser, type "actioncam" into the text box, set "test_cameraDynamicPitch" to 1 and play around with whatever other settings you want.
As long as it's enabled you will get a warning from the UI every single time you log in or reload your interface (this has nothing to do with the addon).
The dropdown menu for it also works, it just isn't updating the display for the selected option properly.
Can anyone help with this, I am currently having a problem where all my menus are so transparent i find it difficult to use them, this occurs even with all my addons turned off, I was just wondering if this addon gave me access to a particular setting that may help?
Hello! Every time I either relog or /reload my UI, it resets my settings for floating combat text (which I have every single one unticked as Parrot2 manages that for me) back to default. It's getting quite annoying to have to do that constantly.
After the patch 7.3 the addon is causing me a latency of more than 500, previously it was 130 I do not know which configuration it moves but it can not use it anymore
I noticed an issue when I was trying to reset the autoQuestWatch in CVar to 0, but it would not change. I then noticed that the 1.2.1 update was removed and the latest was showing 1.2.0 and I did not have this issue with 1.2.0 so I figured I would revert back. I then received the below error:
There is no "trackedQuests" anywhere that I can find.
1x "trackedQuests" is read-only [C]: ? [C]: ? ...aceAdvancedInterfaceOptions\basicOptions.lua:77: in function `?' ...rfaceAdvancedInterfaceOptions\semlib\eve.lua:19: in function <...rfaceAdvancedInterfaceOptions\semlib\eve.lua:16> ...aceAdvancedInterfaceOptions\basicOptions.lua:44: in function `ADDON_LOADED' ...aceAdvancedInterfaceOptions\basicOptions.lua:34: in function `?' ...rfaceAdvancedInterfaceOptions\semlib\eve.lua:19: in function <...rfaceAdvancedInterfaceOptions\semlib\eve.lua:16>
You can type /run AdvancedInterfaceOptionsSaved = nil and /reload to resolve this error. There's an issue with Curse's website that's preventing us from pushing a new update right now.
Is this " /run AdvancedInterfaceOptionsSaved = nil " command able to restore any Cvar modified by this addon. I mean, those modified by ticking options, but also all the parameters listed in the last menu ?
I'm currently experimenting stuff and it would be good to know what to do in case I experiment something strange days after the said modifications.
It won't restore the old values, it wipes out the list of cvars that the addon stores to reapply the next time you log in when you have the "enforce settings" option enabled.
Since most cvar settings are kept across sessions by the client anyways, wiping out the database only affects temporary and character-specific cvars, and possibly some settings that aren't actually cvars like the status text.
... Which explains that, while that bug in the previous version didn't allow any Cvar changes to be applied, those concerning status text did still work ? Thanks for the explanation anyway...
But another question then : if most Cvar settings are kept this way across sessions, this means that any serious mistake (while changing them with the last menu of the addon), if not acknowledged (and reverted) by the (average) user, could force him to make a fresh new install of the game, no ? Or is there a simplier way to save those Cvar settings somewhere and undo any modification ?
The defaults for every cvar are listed in their tooltip in the addon's cvar browser if you want to revert specific cvars to their default value.
There is also a button in the addon to restore every cvar to its default value if necessary.
But you're right, the cvar browser is for advanced users. Many of its settings can't be modified from the default interface, and some caution should be taken when adjusting them because disabling the addon won't undo the changes you've made.
I've just started using this great addon (for the first time) but, unfortunately, most (90%) of its options simply don't work ^^ ! It doesn't what I tick, it returns to its default value as soon as I click on "Okay". And when I try to modify something directly in the Cvar section, the selected value returns once again to its previous value as soon as I push 'Enter'...
For some strange reasons, most of the "Status Text" parameters do work normally, as intended : I can modify them all, except the last one (about "Experience points"), which also refuses any input... Would someone have an idea ?
I have the exact same problem. Manually typine "/console _____" also does not work. Changing the values in the CVar list and pressing enter just returns them to their original value. I have this problem with every single value in the cvar list. Not sure what it could be.

Uncheck Enforce Settings on Startup at the top of the main panel when you type /aio.
The settings reset every time regardless of that box being checked or unchecked.
Then this isn't being caused by this addon, it doesn't automatically set any cvars outside of that setting.

Please list specific examples of what doesn't work for you.
