ArkInventory
ArkInventory (for The War Within)
:boom: Please ensure you are using the latest alpha version if you have the War Within client.
ArkInventory (for Retail, Classic, and Cataclysm)
ArkInventory's display windows are built from "virtual bars", you assign categories to bars so that items in that category are displayed on the specific bars you want. There is no limit to the number of bars you can have inside a window but obviously you only have so much screen real estate before it becomes "too many".
ArkInventory uses several methods to assign a default category to an item such as what professions you have, tooltip scanning, basic type/subtype and PeriodicTable. You then assign those categories to a virtual bar.
You can also over-ride the default category by creating a rule that matches either a single or multiple items.
Overview:
- user configurable window width and height
- separate keybindings for each location for easy viewing
- assign items to a category of your choice (overrides the default assignment)
- assign categories to the bar of your choice
- unlimited number of bars (there are practical limits though before your screen becomes full)
- sort each bar differently if required
- user configurable bars per row
- sell junk items automatically or manually (delete available via a keybinding or right clicking when at a vendor)
- random pet and mount summons. can also assign a group of them to select from
Key Bindings:
- Press ESCAPE to bring up the blizzard menu
- click on Key Bindings
- scroll down to AddOns > ArkInventory
- bind the keys you want to use

:boom: The NoLib variant
it seems quite a few people are somehow getting the NoLib variant from their download client when they didn't specifically ask for it, instead of the full variant, and its causing issues as they don't have the required libraries installed separately. Please ensure you are downloading the full. if you see nolib in the filename then its the wrong variant, unless you are actually installing all of the required libraries separately as well. If you have to you can manually download the full variant from CurseForge, WoWInterface, or Wago.
:boom: Junk Sell getting blocked
While auto-destroy remains blocked, From 30960 onwards you can setup a Key Binding to manually sell and destroy your items. Note that blizzard require one keypress per item deletion, so if you have multiple items that need to be deleted you will need to press the Key Binding multiple times. A message will be output if you have remaining items that can still be deleted.
:warning: Ensure you have backup copies of your saved variables file
Sometimes you cannot revert back to a previous version without a backup, especially alpha or beta versions, so before upgrading please make sure you have made a backup of your saved variables file
Your saved variables file is normally located at ...\World of Warcraft\_client_\WTF\Account\yourwowaccountname\SavedVariables\ArkInventory.lua
It is your responsibility to ensure you have adequate backups of your saved variables file. You dont have to do them frequently, just after you've made major changes to your config is probably fine for most people, but you should get into the habit of making backups because when it does corrupt you wont have to reconfigure everything from scratch.
If you have your download client set to automatically download alpha/beta versions you should definitely have backups.
A simple way to back up the saved variables file is to just do a copy and paste then rename the new file (using the version number of ArkInventory or the date is a good idea), eg ArkInventory-30900.lua, or ArkInventory-20191228.lua
In reply to Rasper1234: i tried to fix this but i think its broken/wonky at the blizzard level so we'll have to put up with it for a while
dont seem to work for me with 3.10.33 alpha-33 version
addon tab says the addon is out of date, eventhough they are loaded, my bag is still showing the default ones
In reply to lozy369: I know it likely doesn't help but the latest alpha works fine for me, perhaps a clash with another addon?
I can't use it at all: no mouse-over, no selling, nada. Do I have it i any special settings in WoW? (Using (v3.10.33)
In reply to jagmed: youll need to download an alpha version
In reply to Arkayenro: I thought I did, I have even changed my setting for Arkinventory to download alpha. So, if not among "Files", where do I find it?
Im guessing as of 11.0.2 This addon isn't working anymore?
Whenever I hover over items in the bag it shows different items due it thinking the cursor is actually somewhere else?
In reply to Imkromo_: you need to uuse the alpha release for now, he's working on full fixes it seems :)
Much better with combined warband bags. Thx for this essential and awesome addon
Not a complaint this time: my thanks to Arkayenro for their responsiveness and rapid updates. Release 11 completely blew up a lot of things in the game that Arkinventory depended on (massive API changes? whole new bank? destroying pre-existing relationships between accounts, factions, and characters?). The pace at which Arkyenro has been answering the evolving challenge has been very encouraging. Thanks!
Also, with Alpha 32, Warband Bank behavior does seem much improved. Thanks for that.
Is there any way to make it happen or was the gold deducted from all characters? Without division into faction?
These new "panel" settings in the alpha are great, thanks.
Just wanted to say thanks for a great addon. Given all the changes to TWW, I'm sure we're all appreciative of your efforts to help us navigate the new UI challenges.
Is it possible to configure the addon in such a way that I'll see all bank bags and reagent bag together - as it was before?
The reason is that I have actually more than one reagent bags/bank: one or more mining bags, one or more engineering bags, and one reagent bank. Some people have also herbalism bags, enchantment bags, etc. They are all for reagents of this or that kind, so it would be logical to see all reagent slots (the bags and the bank) in one window. That's why - is it possible to configure the reagent bank to be visible together with all other bags in the bank like it was earlier?
In reply to AlexL1118: it will be in the the next alpha (31)
Hi, this addon was my best friend during so many years; but it is a pity that it does not work anymore since the last updates in WoW. The bags still open, but it becomes impossible to do any transaction with them; bank bags do not open anymore, and any item put in the bag do not appear. I have to deactivate ArkInventory to be able to open the character bank or guild bank. :(
In reply to Demettra: Install the latest alpha release (currently v3.10.33 Alpha 30). This version works with WoW TWW Pre-Patch (v11.0.0).
As always, thanx for everything you do Ark!! Has anybody found a way to show all warband tabs and reagents at once like it was before the new update?? I hate not being able to see them all and as much AH'ing I do on 3 accounts with multiple characters, at a glance has been a lifesaver since AI's first debut!!
In reply to ibdapopo_moose: you can revert to that layout in the next alpha (31)
Thanks for the separate tabs for the warband bank. One thing I noticed was that if you try to put an item in the warbank, if it is full, it will put the item into your regular bank instead. Is this intended?
