ArkInventory
ArkInventory (for The War Within)
:boom: Please ensure you are using the latest alpha version if you have the War Within client.
ArkInventory (for Retail, Classic, and Cataclysm)
ArkInventory's display windows are built from "virtual bars", you assign categories to bars so that items in that category are displayed on the specific bars you want. There is no limit to the number of bars you can have inside a window but obviously you only have so much screen real estate before it becomes "too many".
ArkInventory uses several methods to assign a default category to an item such as what professions you have, tooltip scanning, basic type/subtype and PeriodicTable. You then assign those categories to a virtual bar.
You can also over-ride the default category by creating a rule that matches either a single or multiple items.
Overview:
- user configurable window width and height
- separate keybindings for each location for easy viewing
- assign items to a category of your choice (overrides the default assignment)
- assign categories to the bar of your choice
- unlimited number of bars (there are practical limits though before your screen becomes full)
- sort each bar differently if required
- user configurable bars per row
- sell junk items automatically or manually (delete available via a keybinding or right clicking when at a vendor)
- random pet and mount summons. can also assign a group of them to select from
Key Bindings:
- Press ESCAPE to bring up the blizzard menu
- click on Key Bindings
- scroll down to AddOns > ArkInventory
- bind the keys you want to use

:boom: The NoLib variant
it seems quite a few people are somehow getting the NoLib variant from their download client when they didn't specifically ask for it, instead of the full variant, and its causing issues as they don't have the required libraries installed separately. Please ensure you are downloading the full. if you see nolib in the filename then its the wrong variant, unless you are actually installing all of the required libraries separately as well. If you have to you can manually download the full variant from CurseForge, WoWInterface, or Wago.
:boom: Junk Sell getting blocked
While auto-destroy remains blocked, From 30960 onwards you can setup a Key Binding to manually sell and destroy your items. Note that blizzard require one keypress per item deletion, so if you have multiple items that need to be deleted you will need to press the Key Binding multiple times. A message will be output if you have remaining items that can still be deleted.
:warning: Ensure you have backup copies of your saved variables file
Sometimes you cannot revert back to a previous version without a backup, especially alpha or beta versions, so before upgrading please make sure you have made a backup of your saved variables file
Your saved variables file is normally located at ...\World of Warcraft\_client_\WTF\Account\yourwowaccountname\SavedVariables\ArkInventory.lua
It is your responsibility to ensure you have adequate backups of your saved variables file. You dont have to do them frequently, just after you've made major changes to your config is probably fine for most people, but you should get into the habit of making backups because when it does corrupt you wont have to reconfigure everything from scratch.
If you have your download client set to automatically download alpha/beta versions you should definitely have backups.
A simple way to back up the saved variables file is to just do a copy and paste then rename the new file (using the version number of ArkInventory or the date is a good idea), eg ArkInventory-30900.lua, or ArkInventory-20191228.lua
Had the same problem - no info unless in edit bag mode upgraded to latest version 28.sept.07 and now it doesnt work at all
Togge mate. I don't use that.
I do use Titan though and I have tried numerous things.
I deleted ark and tried Bagnon. All loaded in correctly and was usable, but still no info for stuff in the bag.
I deleted that and tried with no bag add ons and still had the same. You can see all the stuff in the bags, sell it, equip it and everything else apart from being able to see the info.
This doesn't sound too bad until you are without it. You really don't know how much you view the information about item and you take it for granted... till it is gone.
Is anyone else having this problem or is anyone able to offer assistance in getting this sorted.
PS I have also downloaded the new version of Titan panel etc, so I don't think it is that either!!!
Guys I have the exact same problem When ark inventory show up I cannot see the tool tip of my items. Curiously if I set up edit mode it works fine though.
I am having a problem which is annoying.
Bags are looking fine and open/close up no problem.
All items appear to be in there but I cannot see any information about them. If I sell or equip an item, the info shows up, but not whilst it's in the bag.
Any ideas on how to rectify this? I have updated to the new and I have been using Ark fr a long while. This has only happened since the patch!
Same problem as others : when I sell en item, It always appears in my bag.
I'm having an issue too, seems like the background isn't on the background, so it doesn't let you click your items... Hope it gets fixed :)
I'm also having the issue when moving my mouse over the items I get the following error:
Interface/FrameXML/ContainerFrame.LUA: 602: attempt to index local 'self' (a nil value)
The strange thing is that my GF is also using AI but she doesn't get the error... I dont have EQL on like electrichazard so there must be something else interfering with AI!
im having some problem, items i loot etc arent updating and showing in my bags. Same with when i sell something it dont show it leaving my bags. I love this addon, hope it gets fixed.
I keep getting a problem with my bags not updating. Like I'll pick something up, use something, or sell something and it wont show the change. The only way I can update is by opening and closing the "Bag changer" button.
Its working ok, there is still a problem when first opening the bank after login where the bank's background frame is distorted but after closing it looks normal. besides that looks like the bank bag is fixed and the bag you have on is fixed also. thanks for the great add on

same here.... it is startin to annoy me GREATLY
Can someone please tell me how to lock the AI window? Is it possible?
Hi, problem with 2.10 version : can't move items from Bank to Bags and Bags to Bank !
I am using your addon for my Ui mate, but after logging in I get the following message: Interface\bla bla\Arkinventory:lua6: Cannot find a Library Instance for PeriodicTable-3.0
For me EQL3 Enhanced Quest log was causing the problem....had to go mod by mod and it sure wouldn't have been my first guess.
It was the EQL3 for me as well. I disabled this and the problem with inventory tooltips went away.
I receive this error with the new patch 2.2 please help
I'm having the same problem as well.. ugh. =/
