Profession AddOns
Due to the increasing data size and memory usage with each WoW expansion, the professions have been split into their own AddOns; you need only download the ones you'll be using. Each installed and enabled profession AddOn will load whenever it's first accessed by the ARL core.
The individual profession AddOns can be found here:
- Alchemy
- Blacksmithing
- Cooking
- Enchanting
- Engineering
- Inscription
- Jewelcrafting
- Leatherworking
- Mining
- Tailoring
Note that Ackis Recipe List will not work without the AddOn for the profession you are trying to scan. If you attempt to scan a profession that is not installed, you will be informed.
Where to get it

Known Issues
- When gaining a reputation level recipes for that faction will still appear in red when doing a scan.
- Recipe acquire information is slightly inaccurate. We are updating recipes daily as information is identified. If you find something inaccurate or wrong, submit a ticket here and we will get it updated.
Feature Requests/Bug Reporting
Read the Bug Reporting and Feature Requesting information before submitted a bug report or feature request. Posting reports in the comments is not the place to do so. Ackis had to turn off the comments at Curse.com because of constant bug reports and feature requests. Comments are for questions on how to use the mod, or you can see the thread on WoW Ace. Please follow these small little instructions to make our lives easier. The easier you make development for Ackis Recipe List, the more time we will have to develop other addons.
Bug Reports
Please use the WoW Ace tracker to file bug reports. Posting bugs in the comments is not the place to do it.
Feature Request
Please use the WoW Ace tracker to add suggestions and feature requests. Not all suggestions will be accepted: there are many people who use this addon, each with separate views. We will, however, try to make it as user friendly as possible...but when a decision is made please accept it.
Integration
Ackis Recipe List strives to integrate with existing trade skill mods out there. If you have a request for integration, please submit a feature request at WoW Ace. We make no promises to implement the feature at all. There is a limited API documented to interface with the ARL database. If you are a developer and would like more functions, please contact us on IRC. Currently, the mod works with:

You should check that you actually have the latest version, then - ARL has supported WoW 6.0.x since October 15th.
I noticed for tailoring that the tophat and other blue recipes have disappeared from the uncollected list, even though I still don't have them, is that a bug?
Ugh, I have to download each of these professions individually if I don't use the curse installer?
Brutal. :(
It's typically a one-time deal - the professions generally aren't updated simultaneously. So far, the only exception has been for the 6.0.x patch.
Hope someone can advise me.
I am 600 enchanting and trying to get the recipes I do not have (yes I am a sad completionist....sigh). When I scan (with retired recipes not ticked in filter), I get recipes which show as being trained by a trainer, and ARL gives me a list of trainers; but I cannot train as all tainers show me as maxed. For example, Minor Agility (for Cloak) - level 80, Lesser Protection (for Shield) - level 115. I have deleted ARL from Saved Variables, and from addons, and reinstalled - no luck.
Any constructive help would be appreciated.
While I cannot help, I have the exact same issue with Enchanting.
Those enchants are learned through recipes (formulas) that are either dropped or bought from different NPCs, check wowhead for more detailed information.
ARL-Enchanting is also reporting Trainers w/ no Vendor option as sources for some Formulae.
(Edit 1)Example: Enchant Boots: Vitality is NOT available from Lucan Cordell in Stormwind City but Enchant Shield: Vitality IS - I suggest the whole of the sourcing database needs to be looked into & reconciled for accuracy, especially where the name of the 'recipe' has options like the example above.
(Edit 2) Enchanting just needs a tweak to one section of Sourcing; there are 6 Formulae that are showing as 'Trainer' and are most defintitely Mob./World/Raid/Instance drops - they are as follows:
Enchant Weapon: Major Intellect
Enchant 2H Weapon: Major Agility
Enchant Shield: Stamina
Enchant Chest: Greater Stat's
Enchant Bracers: Spellpower
Enchant Boots: Vitality (as above example)
However, as I only have 20 Formulae 'currently' available in-game unlearnt, there maybe others that fall into the above category.
I am having the issue where I get a popup saying the addon isn't installed and/or loaded when I try to scan. I have checked...it is installed and loaded.
If you read the entirety of the popup, I believe you'll see that it's telling you that the AddOn for your specific profession isn't installed.
Addon will not open on my main. Works fine on my alts. but if im on my main and hit SCAN button, nothing happens. I tried doing a complete clean reinstall of the addon, didn't help. A few others mentioned having this issue weeks ago is this going to be fixed?
Addon still not working for my main. Alts it works fine for.
Hi, Torhal & others,
I love the add-on & have been using it for years but there seems to be issues with the integrity of the recipe sourcing in some of the profession packs.
I don't know where this rates as a priority in the grand scheme of things, but being able to correctly sort what recipes drop in what Raid, etc helps me with getting the ones I don't have (even if they are for items next to no-one will use).
While I would never claim to be able to 'do better' ('cos I can't), is there a way to test the validity of the sorting results or do the recipes rely on outside coding for how they get sorted? One example I found was that one of the recipes was even listed in the wrong Expansion (no details immediately to hand) :(
Along these lines, I remember mentioning somewhere (individual add-on pack comments seem to have disappeared, if that's where I mentioned it) about asking for World Drop/Raid Drop differentiation to be more tightly defined, but not even having the most basic semblance of where to start to put together code on this level, I'll remain silent as far as preaching to the converted is concerned.
Please keep up the excellent work; I remain indebted for how much easier you make my profession completionism.
Kind regards
Hi, thanks for a nice addon for us collectors. I dont know why the addon was suddenly split into smaller database addons like dbm? RAM use or smt? I got 10 chars on my main realm, one of each class, 8 of em have 1 craft+matching gather profession. Even though they are my alts I try to keep my collection updated when it concerns recipes, plans etc on the different professions. An option I would like would be a button or something that, when you click it, shows all available patterns to you. It checks for reputation, faction etc - basicly listing the patterns you forgot to pick up. Right now I'm scrolling through tons of world drops patterns and then have to check every pattern with my repuation tab open to see if I can buy it or not.
Would you please make available a Pack of all the Ackis Recipe List Addons for download. It is a nuisance to add a further 12 downloads to the regular cycle of addon downloads.
Incidentally, the addons are small compared to any other addon and thus there is minimal gain by splitting, only added hassle in management. Also, since a user of Ackis Recipe List scans the recipes of their guild mates and friends only the rare person that isn't in a guild and doesn't have any friends could have any gain from this minor reduction in size.
Hey, really love this addone, but its kinda annoying that you have to press CRTL + SHIFT Click every recipe you want to locate on the map.
I think i remembered that before the prepatch we were able to put all recipes on the map with 1 click, but i ofc first got your addone right before the patch, and i did not get to collect all the recipes, its for my Cooking, Tailoring and Enchanting atm, so its a lot of clicking :D
I have Weapon - Healing Power, however ARL says I don't have it. I've tried reinstalling the app but it still says I don't have it. Also several Tailoring patterns are showing up as not known but they are.
Hi,
I have strange problem with this addon. It works perfectly fine on all my alts but can't run it on my main. If it does matter, alts are below 90lvl. When I try to show up missing recipe list using "/arl scan" command only tradeskill window opens. When I press button "Scan" nothing happens.
I have all list addons downloaded and I tried configuration where all other addons where turned off - I only had core ARL and Cooking list active. Still no luck. My main's name doesn't contain any special signs. Any ideas?
you ever get an answer to this? I have same issue but with mulitple alts.
No answer here and no answer for ticket raised on wowace :/ And it's still not working.
