This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.
Friends list improvements: notes, remembering the information of offline friends, friend list syncing and backups, and a fubar plugin for it all
Speaking of syncing, mine isn't syncing friends lists to my latest alt. It doesn't throw an error, it just doesn't pull the names over. I've tried unchecking and rechecking the sync option, but that didn't work either.
Update: Ok, looks like what happened is sync got unchecked on my other characters. I re-enabled it, reset the sync check on the new character, and it updated.
My intention is to eventually allow the notes to sync between the two. However, if you prefer to use the Blizzard notes, you can just turn the Notes module off now. The Info module no longer breaks Blizzard's notes.
The "edit note" button is appearing on the side of my main screen now whenever I open my friends list, and stays there even after the friends list has been closed. It's definately from this addon, as it appears even when all other addons are off.
As of the current Alpha build on wowace, all the modules should work with 3.3.5. I have not put any backwards compatability in for 3.3.3 since it's a real pain given the degree of changes.
Here are what I would consider to be the current known issues: Note Module: If the Add notes to player menus option is enabled it taints the unit popup menus and breaks Set Focus from that menu. If you're using a unit frame addon, it already wouldn't work. If you're using Blizzard's default unit frames then this breaks it on them too. If you want Set Focus to work on Blizzard's frames you'll have to disable this option via (/als Note inmenu) and then reload your UI or logout and back in. Notes are not supported for Real ID friends at this time.
Panel Module: Taints the Blizzard Raid tab of the social frame. This requires a major rewrite since the Panel can't be a tab on the frame without breaking this. If you care about this turn off the Panel module and you won't have this problem.
Fu Module: No way to sort the entries in the tooltip at this time. No note support for Real ID friends (tied to the Note module needing Real ID support).
FriendList Module: No support for altering look of RealID friends.
Other than that everything else should be working. If not it's a bug that I'm unaware of.
