Broker_Portals

Table of Contents

Why would you have actionbars filled with portals, or open your spellbook everytime you cast a portal? Just right click on icon or minimap button and you can access all portals so comfortably.

It is designed as DataBroker plug-in, that lets you access all portal and teleport spells from one spot. Addon will be attached to minimap by default, but if you want to move/customize it, you will have to install additional addon like TitanPanel, HidingBar, or Bazooka and there are many more.

Features:

All mage portals, hearthstone and teleporting items available from simple dropdown menu
Minimap button, so you don't have to install any additional addon
Hearthstone location and cooldown in tooltip
Reagent count in tooltip (for Cataclusm Classic)
If hearthstone is on cooldown, Scroll of Recall will be used instead if possible
Can announce, that you're casting a portal

Localization:

If you'd like to add/update localizations, do so here. Then leave a comment on WowAce or on Curse as I'm checking those more often than localization app itself, and I'll repack it.

FAQ:

I managed to hide my minimap icon, how do I turn it on again?
- Just simply type "/portals".
Does it support teleportation items like engineering teleports or Kirin Tor rings?

Ok I checked out that new version. The esMX localization doesn't appear in esMX WoW (I don't recall if you said you did or will implement it) As for that slash command, I got the follwing:

Dump: value=findSpell(GetSpellInfo(3561))

You are correct, I didn't include the esMX localization properly, but that will be fixed in next version. As for the result, I have no idea, why you cannot see any spells in the list, since it finds it properly.

Do you perhaps have a Deathknight with DeathGate spell or Shaman with Astrall Recall or Druid with teleport to moonglade character, so you can test, whether it shows those spells (any of it) in Broker_Portals?

I have a dk, and I'll check it for you, but as for shammy or druid, no, however I think my brother has those toons and I could get him to log in on my comp (he doesn't know spanish, I'm the only one of three brothers who knows spanish)

Hi, sorry for keeping you waiting, but I'm quite busy with work nowadays. Anyway the spells should appear even if the addon doesn't have your localization. We had some problems with Chinese aswell in past, so we'll try few things to figure it out. First please enter this command in chat '/dump GetSpellInfo(3561)' without the quotes and tell me, what does it say. Also please download latest alpha version from wowace and try '/dump findSpell(GetSpellInfo(3561))' and tell me the results. Thanks.

btw, if you need the city names for teleports/portals, it goes as follows:

Stormwind = Ventormenta Orgrimmar stays the same
Ironforge = Forjaz Undercity = Entrañas
Darnassus remains the same Thunder Bluff = Cima del Trueno
The Exodar = El Exodar Silvermoon = Lunargenta

Shattrath and Dalaran remain the same.

If any of the portal names include the word "city" translate it as "Ciudad de (cityname)" like Stormwind City = Ciudad de Ventormenta.

Splendid addon, saving me time rooting through my backpack. I would like to suggest a similar addon to encompass engineering items, jeeves, zapthrottle mote extractor etc. I recently dropped using autobar and miss its usefulness but not it's lag...

How about an addon that does for conjuring what this addon does for transportation? Ie. a minimap button that drops down a menu of all ranks of food, water, refreshment, and tables. This would be handy for quickly making stuff for a group of mixed levels.

Any way to not list spells I don't have reagents for?
I'm not carrying teleportation runes at all, it's a waste of bag space.

Doesn't look hard to implement. The reagent count is already picked up to display for mouseover. I think it can all be done in SetupSpells. For efficiency, it might be good to cache the reagent counts in obj.OnEnter().
