Needs more features like in the old Cartographer like boss drops and quests...plus its hard to use.

im sorry but this is by far no where near as good as the old cartographer. i appreciate the fact that you are trying to be innovative but this mod not only slows down latency but is not easy to use on the fly much like the old cartographer. it is nice looking but a pain in the ass to zoom in and out constantly and pick a specific area. i feel as though its constantly bopping around and i zoom right past my zone. im sure many agree with me in that the old cartographer is a much simpler interface which is exactly i need a map to be, easy and quick to use. please update the previous cartographer for the patch 2.4.3

This makes loading characters take 2-3 minutes after the load screen.
With this loaded, it takes 2-3 min to load characters and some stuff after the loading screen.
Just tested without the addon loaded, and the stuff pop ups at once the loading screen goes away. Turn it on, and it takes forever to "boot up" completely.

It also takes a long time to load between parts of the world(s).

Alas your computer is getting old.

So, Ck, any chance you'll tell us what the 'big feature' of 1.0 is ;-)?

I cannot get the waypoint arrow to show. Could some one show me how to do it? I also have tomtom but that one is messed up so far as the arrow. It is stuck in the center of the screen. That's why I want to use Cart's arrow.

This is really sweet, smooth mod as compared to the old cartographer.

This version works on WotLK beta for the most part. Just FYI.
1. Notes can be created but not edited/deleted.
2. Stock maps work fine but cannot zoom to texture maps (assume since the appropriate graphic map files do not exist yet.
3. WP works but no direction arrow.

Is there anyway to shrink icon size? like the questgiver ones..and what happened to FP's? Other than that GREAT ADD-ON!!!!

I wonder if someone can help me out with a problem with this mod, i like the mod but on the previest version of Cartographer i had alot of notes and since i added Cartographer 3.0 i longer have my notes and not sure if this is a whole diffrent mod or its just that the creater never added the ability for the move the notes to Cartographer 3.0?

The new maps are interesting.. definitely take some getting used to.
My only gripe is as someone else mentioned - the boss loot is not there anymore. Just the skulls.

While I like the direction this is going in, to make its interface more common with google maps, I don't feel that it's quite ready for prime time. One irritating feature is the tiny "S" button that you have to press to get the zoom capability. First, you tend to press the "Z" button, making the solution counterintuitive. Second, I don't like having to make the ergonomic investment required to press the button in the first place. Also, the smooth zooming I find actually harder to control than the incremental zoom in google maps, so I don't see that as an improvement.

I'm sticking with the old version for the time being. Keep working on it though!

i hate this new update

I had the same problem today (8/9/08, 5:30pm) -- crash after i logged in. Removed the new version, rebooted, and everything seems to be fine again. I rolled back to a previous version and everything seems to be fine. Hopefully y'all can fix it asap.

hmm....... this addon is making wow crash now :(

cant get any info other than the crash alert wow does when it encounters a "fatal condition"
