This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

CARTOGRAPHER HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED FOR 3.3!!!

DO NOT CREATE BUG REPORTS SAYING IT IS BROKEN!

There are no plans to do any major bug fixes for Cartographer (v2 or v3). If there is an update it will only be a minor fix. (It has already been this way since at least 2008.) Cartographer(v2) uses an outdated framework that will not be updated in the case of major breakages so Cartographer(v2) would require a complete rewrite. Neither of the two main developers (Ckknight and Arrowmaster) have the time nor desire to do this currently. Occasionally a new version might be released to include fixes made by other developers or new versions of embedded libraries.

Cartographer is a modular, lightweight, and efficient framework for manipulation of the world map. It is based on Rock and other libraries of the WoWAce community.

Battlegrounds : allows viewing of battlegrounds outside of the zone.
Coordinates : adds coordinates to the bottom of the world map of the player and the cursor.
Foglight : Shows unexplored areas on the map. replacement for MozzFullWorldMap or Unexplorer. Much more efficient, though.
Group Colors : turns all your party's and your raid's POIs into circles colored based on class, and shows a number on them based on their raid group.
Instance Maps : shows maps of instances.
Instance Notes : adds boss notes and such to instance maps.
Look 'n' Feel : allows you to change the transparency, position, and scale of the world map.
Notes : lets you put notes on the map, similar to MapNotes.
Zone Info : on hovering over a zone, it will show the levels of the zone, the instances in the zone, their levels, and the group size the instance is made for (e.g. 5-man, 40-man).

I'm getting the same thing - the map itself has disappeared but I can still see all the little building and tower icons.

can anyone tell me how to remove the blue notes on the main map...ive gone into the options > notes and unclicked Enabled Notes and they still come back. Reason why i want them gone is that when i zoom out on my main map, for example viewing wintergrasp the blue note dots stay there and dont reset.

For some reason my zooming features are not working on cartographer, actually they never have...for that matter none of the mouse clicking features are working except adding note. I have no access to anything accept zone maps. I really use the continent maps quite frequently and now I don't have the ability. Please help!

How about a little dialogue box allowing us to enter a co-ordinate for a waypoint instead of moving the mouse all around.

Is it possible to implement a sort of transport grid, like Atlas with it's Transportation module, showing all boats/flight paths?

how about bringing back the cartographer professions? you use to be able to DL wowheads complete herbalism nodes. now once you accidently delete them from your map, you cant get anything back. all versions of the professions are outdated.

Love the mod. Just one thing I would like to see. I like to travel with the minimap open (shift/m) and would like to see it improved where I don't have to toggle the map on and off to see specific locations I am traveling to.

Silly Spiritchaser! =P when you simply right-click on the map, it zooms out to the map surrounding the area you were just viewing! so good news! =D cartographer isn't broken at all! in order to place a mark on the map, you have to hold down ctrl, then right click where you want the mark! silly spiritchaser =P

I really like this add-on for Cartographer. However when I try to put a note on the map it doesn't seem to work. I do have the latest version of cartographer. So what am I doing wrong? When I use the Rt Mouse button it usually changes the zone map.....

Don't uninstall this Addon if you're going for the exploration achievements. It has a function to turn on the fog of unexplored landmarks.

I have a few issue that hopefully will soon to be resolved, I recently add a few addons and load them in Wow and there a is a huge error with Cartographer, i load the map it show up fine but the CArtographer is not there, when i click the Cartographer button to show the option, it did display the option box but all of the texts is gone. I went back to uncheck each new addons that I recently add and found out it PitBull Unit Frame have a conflict with Cartographer, i used them both in the past and never occur a problem. here the error log

I dont think need to solve this problem. I recently download the new PitBull 4.0 (beta stage) and i read the description and it said it recently switch from Rock library to Ace3 right now which explain the reason why PitBull and Cartographer having problem because they are trying to use specific library of Rock but they clash on each other because PitBull 3.0 is using and Cartographer need it (correct me if im wrong).

I am using Pitbull 4.0 right now and dont have a problem with cartographer right now.

But if anyone have a problem with PitBull 3 and Cartographer, i encourage anyone to use Pitbull 4.0, there is no problem between them right now. Look it up

I'm having a problem, the guild positions module, doesn't seem to be doing anything, it's enabled, is there some limits to it that maybe i just don't realize?
