FishingAce

Table of Contents

Simple right click casting.

Double right-click to cast while a fishing pole is equipped. Options included to enhance the various telltale signs that you've caught a fish (upping the volume, enhance the pool "sparklies") and automatically applying a lure to your pole.

Double click casting can result in lost catches in rare situations where the loot window and casting overlap. I haven't figured out if this is due to a slow computer or a slow connection, nor have I found a way around it yet.

Rightclick FishingAce in your Your Addons list -> Install Type -> Alpha

If I equip my Weather-Beaten fishing hat (30s cooldown before I can use the hat to put a lure on) FishingAce tells me the item isn't ready yet and does nothing. Anyway to make it cast anyways if the hat is still on CD?

It isn´t the latest version. Latest Version 0.4.4 works better with WOTLK.
Curse update (for client) would be very nice!

What Meth90 wrote DOES work for my system under 3.0.3 -- just relinking in case no one else has it. I verified that everything works and I don't get any error messages (including the sound changes).

yea this does work fine all but 1 thing.. auto lure don't work i cant get it to put on a lure.. i have np doing it my self just posting that there is a problem

I only came accross this add last week, love it, really wanted the double click cast, which worked once, ever since swatter gets same error messages as Msirbono

any ideas?

I'm not completely sure why but the mod isnt working at all. I just use it for the right-click casting and it isnt even doing that now. its the newest version and i've tried to activate it in the way the instructions that come up by doing /fishingace says. i get no errors or any thing else indicating that it shouldnt be working

Really odd, R76 gives me an autolooting error on one computer, while R77 does not -- it just doesn't autoloot.
But on my main computer R76 works fine, autolooting without an error. My guess is that there is some library i have on one computer that has been updated while on the other it has not.

This one works properly with 3.02. Still a bit buggy but the right-click casting works fine.
