Hello, I just dl'ed flagRSP2 and can not see descriptions.

I turned all my other addons off.

I used windows archiver to unzip at first. Couldn't see descriptions than saw that you shouldn't use the windows tool; so I deleted the folders in addons, dl'ed it again and used Winar. Same problem.

I than deleted 2 folders in WTF > Account > Saved Variables (flagrsp.lua and flagrsp.lue.bak)

Deleted folders in addons, used Winrar to unzip, Installed flagRSP, still have all other addons turned off. I am stil lunable to see descriptions.

Please help.

*Edit - Yes I am in the xtensionxtooltip channel. People can see my profile. I can not see any profiles.

I'm having the exact same problem. Tried the same things as well.

No joy on that, Azxiana. I'm going to give it one more go with deleting all of my FlagRSP files and installing 1.3.2, but I'm just about to give up on it as being hopelessly broken.

Are there any addon conflicts that you know of so I can screen what I've got for them? I've gotten rid of MyRoleplay already because I hate it.

Edit: Have reinstalled. It's still not displaying my titles and RP status at all. :/

I'm getting a persistent problem where FlagRSP "forgets" my titles, extra names, and RP status and won't display them to me or other players. I can see everyone else's extra stuff just fine, it's only mine that aren't displaying. I've deleted everything and reinstalled it completely once, toggled all the options on and off, checked the xtensiontooltip2 channel, and cannot find anything that should explain why this isn't working right. This happens across all of my characters; it happens whether I have MyRoleplay enabled or disabled, and while deleting and re-entering the information fixes it for me (but not other people) for a couple of minutes, it disappears again as soon as FlagRSP refreshes.

I'm running WoW on an Intel Mac, though given the way Addons work I don't think that should matter.

Any help?

You can and should download 7-zip (it's free) if you don't like the built-in support that the OS provides you. 7-zip.org

I wrote a small batch file that uses 7-zip to convert RAR'd filed back into zip files, click my name for a link to it.

Microsoft can't put decent archive support into Windows - they'd be sued instantly.

Flagrsp2 worked fine but then just today I updated my Character's discription, and it keeps messing it up by removing letters from words or splicing words together.

Example .... I typed "Relationship" and when it updated it said "Relp" I typed "big looped earrings" when it updated it said "blooped earrings." what's going on?

Sorry for double post, but how do i change my profile? i can't see any icon on the minimap.. do i type /flagrsp options ?

Yeah, I'm aware of the five minute cooldown. I'm talking about the description not triggering AT ALL - I've been logged on for several hours, and the description doesn't trigger (despite there being DP requests on the channel), and if I change the description to be 1441 chars or longer, it'll update within five minutes (as per the cooldown).
Simply put, the description has never triggered shorter than that, even playing the game regularly with the addon on for well over a week.

Ok, I got this addon about an hour ago, and it was working fine for a little while. Then, I accidentally unchecked the "enabled" option (from right-clicking the bubble in-game), and the bubble disappeared. I can still see people's info on mouseover, but can't see their profiles, though mine are apparently still viewable. I went onto one of my alts, and I could access it there, but when I tried changing my options I got an error message, something to do with applying a mouseover, I think. So either I can't re-enable it since I accidentally disabled it, or one of the options is glitched, or a combination of both. Now it's not working even on alts I haven't tried it on yet. I've tried reinstalling it and everything...

Try deleting your variable data for it - that should reset your options (and your descriptions, names, titles etc - so write those down somewhere first) - the files to delete would be <WoW>/WTF/Account/<accountname>/SavedVariables/flagRSP2.lua and possibly the same with a .bak extension.

Ok, I deleted the variable data, and even re-downloaded the file again just to be safe, and it seemed to work. That is, the bubble was there, and I could enter my info and set my options. However, I could not view anyone's descriptions, or even see the enhanced tooltips on mouseover. When I tried to use the viewer, I got this error message:

Interface\AddOns\flagRSP2\flagRSP2.lua:713: attempt to index field '?' (a nil value)

You might want to verify that you are actually on the xtensionxtooltip2 channel - if not, join it (and click to make sure it doesn't show up in your general chat window).

I've been trying for a good week or so now, and I just can't get this AddOn working for me.
Or rather... after some tinkering, I can see other people's descriptions just fine. My prefix/suffix name(s) and title for the character(s) show up. But, for whatever reason, I simply cannot get my descriptions to show. They don't show for me, they don't show for anyone else.

I've tried wiping and reinstalling the addon a few times (including saved variable files), and I haven't used any previous versions either.

Help?
