FuBar_TrainerFu
Keep track of skills that can be learned from trainers.
Features
- Keep track of skills you can learn from trainers (class, professions, demon).
- Skill information is available anywhere after you have visit a trainer.
- Create map notes automatically with trainer if you have Cartographer installed (I can probably add support for other map note add-ons easily by request).
- Colored skills:
- Green if trainable.
- Yellow if trainable next equal level, i.e. 6, 20 or 56.
- Red skills you can not learn yet.
- Shows training cost and total cost for all trainable skills.
- Delete a trainer or all trainers of a type shift-ctrl-click on it.
Note: This mod works without FuBar. If running without FuBar it shows a icon on the minimap instead.
Important
For the demon skills to work properly you have to have all of your different demons (i.e. Imp, Succubus) out at least once after you have installed the addon. If you don't demon spells that you already know or can't train yet might be shown as trainable. There might also be a glitch when you reach levels where you can obtain new demons, TrainerFu will probably tell you that you can learn spells for a demon you don't have yet.
Please update it!!! I'd be willing to help (although I don't know much about coding in lua) but please... It's so good and unique, I really miss it.
Grizzly's step to hold down Shift+CTRL+Alt and click to remove the ones you dont want works just fine.
Only thing i wish it had was a listed a location(s) of the trainer to learn it from. Eh no biggie thats what thotbots for hehe
in·val·u·a·ble (n-vly--bl) adj.
Of inestimable value; priceless: invaluable paintings; invaluable help.
Look up words if you dont know what they mean. Preferably BEFORE you take someone else to task for using them. I'm looking at YOU, Paranoia77.
What i mean is:
hold down shift+ctrl+alt and click on the item you wish to remove from trainerfu. it should make the addon think you've "learned" it.
Please Nickennyfiken ... update the addon. It was the best !!
I'm hoping for an update as well. I tried Broker_Trainer, but just wasn't as impressed with it as I have been with TrainerFu. Right now TrainerFu has this bad habit of messing up two of my character's training lists. For some reason even though I know I've been by the trainer, a lot of old abilities are still showing up as not learned, I'm talking about LW Journeyman-Artisan, even though he is Grandmaster level, same thing with JC. And some of the Inscription titles are off as well. The title in TrainerFu is green, but when I mouse over it, the tool tip reads something totally different. Of the top of my head, without having access to WoW at the moment, I do remember one is a Paladin inscription and the other is a Shaman. Any way, please fix this great, and very helpful, mod. Thanks. :)
@ schr0nz
I'm gonna give your version a try, if it's working without problems, or at least with less problems than the last version Nickenyfiken could be bothered to release, then why not actually upload your version as a seperate addon. It would appear as if Nickenyfiken is not bothering to update any of his addons anymore, heck, he can't even be bothered to make a simple reply to people asking questions!
@ Nickenyfiken
Either update your addons correctly or abandon them so that someone who is actually willing to spend the time on maintaining them can take over!
Is anyone taking this addon over? I ask as with the riding skill in the class list it seems like I have a skill to train and yet I don't (I am not going to get Artisan Riding till I can make a lot of money). Is there a way to hide specific skills you don't wish to learn or some way to move riding out of the class list and into a separate trainer?
Added the Deathknight, Inscription, Grand Master and raised the max Level to 80.
I also tried to translate my updates for german, french and spanish.
I hope it works for you as fine as it does for me.

I know this is pretty much inactive, but just in case... I'm having two issues: 1) For some reason Trainerfu makes the trainer show already learned recipies every time you visit them 2) Class specific engineering recipies show up in lists for classes who can't learn them (same goes for faction specific portal/teleport spells)
Small suggestion (dunno how easily implemented it would be): be able to remove items from the database by simply... let's say shift rightclicking them in their lists (would be useful as a easy way for fixing removed skills).
Hmm lets see if I will fix this broken piece of shit. I am actually playing WoW again. Broker_Trainer seems like a good addon, haven't tried it yet though.
A mess the current r74302.29/r165 may be. But r150 on the SVN only (before the translator mess started) works just fine with no errors and no issues so far here in 3.0.3/WotLK. It reports new, unseen skills up to level 80/skill 450 from trainers (class & profession skills).
I have not, though, tried it with inscription, gemcrafting or Death Knight trainers (don't have any with any characters). As this (the most recent version) uses the obsolete Babble-Tradeskill-2.2, Babble-Trainer-2.2 & LibBabble-Spell-3.0 libraries--the working r150 uses the even older Babble-Spell-2.2--it may have issues with those more recent trainers.
But for those who have old-school characters with old-school skills, it still works fine...heh. Unfortunately, r150 is only available to those with an SVN client. At least its available. Without a doubt, this needs an update and/or rewrite as HunterZ mentioned.
TrainerFu is a jumbled mess, and hasn't worked properly since some translators butchered it months ago. I'm using a combination of Broker_Trainer and TrainerSkills atm, but I liked TrainerFu better.
I wish someone would do a non-Ace2, non-Rock, LDB-based total rewrite.

You can search for other addons as well. Sometimes you will see a newer version there that isn't on Curse yet. Fare well! :)
Delete your TrainerFu saved variables file and those inaccuracies should no longer exist (or at least should be minimized) in WoW 3.0.x.
It reads & displays skills you can train from the actual trainers; it doesn't use its own lists.
I second Trixie's comments about the inaccuracies and I really miss it being a dependable resource.
