Garrison Jukebox
Garrison Jukebox
This addon lets you select (from the World of Warcraft embedded music files) a list of music that will either play inline or randomly while in one of the zones you selected in your zone list. (by default, Lunarfall and Frostwall are added)
Not all music is entered yet, almost... I'm working on it. If you would like to add music to this addon, you can request it via the wowace ticket system. Because several zones have multiple music files, I suggest anyone creating a ticket to supply the embedded filename.
You can follow me on twitter @Azmaedus for addon updates

Known Issues
- Inter-addon communication may still contain bugs.
- Sometimes when changing from a zone not on the zonelist to a zone that is, GJB will play 2 consecutive songs. Working on a fix.
Before submitting your bug(s), check that you are using the latest version. If not, please update and also check if the bug hasn't already been submitted either as a ticket or in the project's description. Thank you.
v2.x
Warning! If you were using v1.2.1.0 or older, this new version will reset your SavedVariables; the structures of the musictable and zonetable have changed and as a consequence, all of your jukeboxes (Jukebox, Advanced, STM) will be emptied. As a precaution, you can also backup your SavedVariables prior to using this new version (INSTALL_DIR\WTF\Account\ACCOUNT_NAME\SavedVariables\GarrisonJukeBox.lua).
Yes it is fixed in the upcoming version. I'm still testing inter-addon communication.

All the music that comes with GarrisonJukeBox is embedded inside of the World of Warcraft installation files. I will not add external files to this project, obviously because doing so would most likely violate distribution and copyright laws. However, I will, when I have the time, take a look into adding the Gnomer and troll events.
Warcraft 1, 2, and 3 are great games but again, the music is not embedded in WoW.
If you could, please submit a ticket with your request. Thank you and enjoy the music!
I see that you are still adding music to this addon. Yay!
However, I have a particular sound file in mind that I would love to hear in the GarrisonJukebox.
It's from the Pre-Catacylsm World Event - Alliance - Battle for Gnomeregan. Horde side is Trolls, but I can not remember what the full name is nor even if I have the file saved from that somewhere.
I have the .mp3 file for the Battle for Gnomeregan - Event Complete music if you need it. It's the one with the Kazoo's. The happy sounding music, like a Gnome would love to dance to.
Let me know if you need this .mp3 file.
Also, I believe that we have sound files saved from WarCraft I, II, & III somewhere. We recently found where our Warcraft III discs were when we moved this past summer.
A few of those sound (I think they are just .wav files) files might be an interesting add to the playlist or even to use in another addon. Like the Troll one that goes "Na, Na, Na, Na, Na, Na, Na , Na, Ha! ME!" because he's a troll druid in bat form. >(O.o)<
Sorry, was just a side thought, but I figured that I would still mention it, just in case.
Well, let me know if you need those files. I can try to send them through here or to wherever you need them to be sent to.
Good Luck & thank you for such a cool addon! =D
@Thorinair I'm glad you are enjoying the GarrisonJukeBox. Great suggestion! I will look into that when I have a few hours to spare; I'm currently in the middle of a code migration to a new development platform for a pretty hefty ERP system.
Happy to know I'm not the only one that finds that music annoying after a while... :P
I love you.
A while ago, I wanted to code a similar addon, but as soon as I saw that something like this will be made, decided not to. I've first seen it back when it was r5 or so, so I didn't bother downloading, and just let you do your thing. Today I returned to it after getting extremely frustrated with hearing the default Garrison music for the 10000th time, and I got so happy to see it functional! Thank you for working on this awesome addon! :)
I have a small suggestion for a feature I wanted to include in my own addon, but seeing as you are making this one, maybe you might be interested in something like that: multiplayer support. Basically, sending garrison music details to a visitor of your garrison (provided you are in same party, and they also have your addon), to let them hear the same music you selected. It would essentially let the addon work as a multiplayer modification for the garrison!
Hi again, Ok I figured out my problem with music not playing... I had to add the garrison as a zone I wanted to hear the music in... but now I have another problem. For example, Black Temple music is broken up into fragmented music clips. So when my music shuffles it will just play small excerpts of BT music and switch to other music clips from other raids and stuff becoming all jumbled. Is there any way to piece the music together so that if BT music decides to play it will be forced to play all the music clips in succession? Otherwise I don't really see the point in this addon if it's not going to play music pieces as the composser intended.
If I manually play a sample music however it will play the full song. So I don't understand what's going on.
Thanks for the great work. Hope you can help me out!
Edit2: I have pushed a fix this morning. Hope this is what you were talking about. In the options UI (/gjb config), make sure the options Inline and Shuffle are checked.
Edit: I think I understand and will look into it tomorrow morning.
Yes, this is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the quick fix! :)
Hey, awesome Addon but is there anyway to turn off the chat messages because most of the goblin music is short, so it will quickly fill up my chat?
This option was added in version 1.0.7.4. Enjoy!
Thank you for the suggestion.
I can't get this addon to work... I lose the songs into my playlist but they just wont play or shuffle. I have to manually find a song and hit play sample for me to get anything to play which is obviously not optimal. Please help me out. Thanks
I need a bit more information from you in order to try and find out why you are having issues with GarrisonJukeBox. I would greatly appreciate it if you could create a ticket on the project's site.
*Note: Please be carefull NOT to POST your account name in any replies.
I love this, this is really saving my sanity. I am recommending it to all my friends and guildies. I like to play Pandaria songs on my pandaren characters and draenei songs for my draenei. GarrisonJukeBox really brings WoW's old music new life :)
As a Horde-exclusive player, I sincerely thank you. That one didgeridoo song was getting extremely old.
I've added profile management in 1.0.5 Enjoy! :)
Without a doubt, one of my fav addons ever. Brilliant, and it helps me flavor my WoW experience perfectly.
Almost perfectly ;-) Is there any option coming that will allow us to have jukeboxes for various characters, instead of account-wide? Many, many thanks for this!
I am planing on adding character based profiles in the very near future.
