GatherMate2
GatherMate2 is an addon to collect and track herbs, mines, fishing pools, gas clouds, archaelogy finds and treasures, and displays them on the world map and the mini map.
This is the Retail version of GatherMate2, the version for WoW Classic can be found here
GatherMate will remember the location of every herb you pick or every ore you mine, so that you can easily find the positions of the herbs and mines again. Once you come into range of a recorded spot, GatherMate will show an icon representing the type of herb/ore/fish/etc. on your mini map, directly allowing you to decide if its worth checking out. Additionally, all spots are shown on the World Map, to ease navigation to certain types of nodes and making gathering more fun.
To give you a head start, GatherMate2 also offers a pre-filled data module, so you don't need to discover all herbs and mines yourself, but instead can just start gathering right away. Simply install GatherMate2_Data and hit a few buttons to import all the provided data, and you're good to go.

Usage
Using GatherMate2 is straight-forward.
After the installation, GatherMate2 is automatically active and collecting data.
You can configure which data should be shown on the World Map or MiniMap in the Configuration Dialog, which can be accessed either via the /gathermate slash command or be found in the Interface options in the WoW Menu.
Localization (Translation of Nodes)
GatherMate2 relies on the node names to be translated in all languages WoW supports. You can contribute additional translations for your language here using the Localization tool:
https://www.wowace.com/projects/gathermate2/localization
Any translations submitted through that tool will be automatically included in the next release.
GatherMate2_Data
GatherMate2_Data has been updated with all fresh data from Wowhead, including support for Shadowlands, and will be continously updated throughout the coming expansion.

Hey man! I am so happy to say I have found an addon that does exactly that and it works! https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/gatherlite
It's awesome.
In reply to Toddcraft:
Cool! Going to install it tonight and see how it works. Thanks for the heads-up!!
Hi. I was wondering if there was a way for this addon to remember how many times you've gathered something, similar to how gatherer and forager used to work. They would show the last time/date you gathered something and how many times you've gathered it in the tooltip and on the map. Would anything like this be possible?
By some reason it GM2 fails to record me looting 'Large Jelly Deposit' nodes, those are big 5-segment ones.
Add these line to track Jelly Deposits in German language :
in GatherMate2-deDE.lua at end of file :

Please contribute localization on the localization tab of this addon page, then they'll automatically get into the next version! :)
Add these lines to track Jelly Deposits in French language :
in Constants.lua line 378 (after the one for 'Jelly Deposit') :
in Constants.lua line 840 (after the one for ID 563) :
in GatherMate2-frFR.lua at end of file :
Thank you so much for adding Plaguebloom!
& sorry for being a dick

Could you make a more entitled post?
In reply to DaCrazyHun:
as soon as you start paying people to make addons you are free to write a post like yours... otherwise, addons are getting developed by players in their spare time and if they don't have the time (you know, there is something called "real life", don't know if you have heard of it) bugs might not be fixed within 5 days...
I am deeply thankful for every addon developer sacrificing their spare time to develop great addons like gathermate2, it's not something that can be done in 5 minutes...
Hi there, i don't know if this is a bug or not, but when i mine "Adamantine" (sorry if it's not that i'm french) that didn't track it.
Welp, none of the importing seems to work for me. Followed all the instructions to a T and imports aren't doing anything. GatherMate2 and GatherMate2_Data are both properly installed but when I rewrite the GatherMate2.lua file and put my character's name and server in it, nothing imports. I do this with the client closed and have properly changed the "name" and "server" portion at the top of the lua file. The lua file is also in the GatherMate2.lua file location you recommended to put it in. Any suggestions?

I can't import the Data either. I put both in the addons folder and they show up. In the Gathermate2 options it even shows the GatherMate2_Data, and it even says that it imported successfully, but nothing shows up.

Delete GatherMate2.lua.bak Thats the backup of GatherMate2.lua Everytime u start the game this game wil be used while loading. It wil then change back to settings that was first time using Gathermate2.
Plaguebloom seems to be missing from the classic release.
Seems like the twitch client has started bugging out it can no longer distinguish between classic and live anymore and wants to overwrite it with the live version.
How do i change size of red circle (when close to node)? Icon size is changeable easy, but not red circle.
Does anyone know where to download the nodes database for classic? give a link please, thanks so much!
