GatherMate2

Table of Contents

GatherMate2 is an addon to collect and track herbs, mines, fishing pools, gas clouds, archaelogy finds and treasures, and displays them on the world map and the mini map.

This is the Retail version of GatherMate2, the version for WoW Classic can be found here

GatherMate will remember the location of every herb you pick or every ore you mine, so that you can easily find the positions of the herbs and mines again. Once you come into range of a recorded spot, GatherMate will show an icon representing the type of herb/ore/fish/etc. on your mini map, directly allowing you to decide if its worth checking out. Additionally, all spots are shown on the World Map, to ease navigation to certain types of nodes and making gathering more fun.

To give you a head start, GatherMate2 also offers a pre-filled data module, so you don't need to discover all herbs and mines yourself, but instead can just start gathering right away. Simply install GatherMate2_Data and hit a few buttons to import all the provided data, and you're good to go.

Usage

Using GatherMate2 is straight-forward.
After the installation, GatherMate2 is automatically active and collecting data.

You can configure which data should be shown on the World Map or MiniMap in the Configuration Dialog, which can be accessed either via the /gathermate slash command or be found in the Interface options in the WoW Menu.

Localization (Translation of Nodes)

GatherMate2 relies on the node names to be translated in all languages WoW supports. You can contribute additional translations for your language here using the Localization tool:

Any translations submitted through that tool will be automatically included in the next release.

GatherMate2_Data

GatherMate2_Data has been updated with all fresh data from Wowhead, including support for Shadowlands, and will be continously updated throughout the coming expansion.

cannot see the under lvl 300 herbs on minimap when flying over them ... havent since 6.0

Two questions:

When importing data for fish, for the entirety of MoP, not many icons have appeared on either the world or mini maps. All my settings are the same as other types of nodes. Those other types work as intended. I am comparing what I see with what is known on Wowhead or WowDB. Most of the fish nodes I have discovered myself.
Since patch 5.3 or 5.4 there have been no fish in Vale of Eternal Blossoms, yet the data still has them. Having just checked in 6.0.3 the ability to select a zone for data removal is blank. The drop down exists, but there is nothing populating it.

My character have both Herbalism and mining. I would like to ask if I can un-clutter database for both mines-herbs at the same time. I mean that, I will travel over both mines and herbs, so when I chose to un-clutter in 20 yards to count both herbs and mines. If a mine is near a herb, then delete one of those in the database.

I have updated the gathermate2 and Routes to the lasted version. However, the Routes is still not working. It cannot find the data of gathermate2 and I have install the data.

Could you please help to fix the problem.

Hey.
I cant run gathermate in WOTLK and MOP.
I installed it with client.
Checked under addon button in char section and checked load if not updated.
Went in game.. writed- /gathermate and nothing happened..
Went in interface section and there is no addons too.

Same thing here. I'm unable to import data from Gathermate 2 Data. This pretty much make the addon useless to me. Can any info or a fix be expected soon?

this addon doesnt even work. do i have to manualy do things do make it work? realy? so bad.

click routes, make a route name, click ok,- nothing.. gg

There is a workaround.

1) Go over the Routes page here at Curse.com

2) Find the October 18th comment by "LameCooter" *AND* the October 19th reply by "machinethreat"

3) Replace the lines in the .../Routes/Plugins subdirectory as directed by those comments. (Remember to use a period and not a colon.)

I did those replacements in the GatherMate2.lua file in that subirectory & loaded up WoW. GatherMate2 and Routes worked perfectly!!!

(IMPORTANT: This workaround works for GatherMate2 alone. It does not work for Gatherer as the coding in Routes' Gatherer.lua file is done differently.)

Version 1.3.1 (uploaded about 35 hours ago) appears to allow loading of the outdated 5.4.2 Gathermate2_Data addon. You still need to force 'Load Out of Date Addons', but the Import tab in Gathermate2 will now function and will import data.

i have been herb gathering and i cant see the circles where i had gathered the herbs that used to appear before patch is that something that changed? Btw ty for all your hard work i am grateful :)
