GatherMate2
GatherMate2 is an addon to collect and track herbs, mines, fishing pools, gas clouds, archaelogy finds and treasures, and displays them on the world map and the mini map.
This is the Retail version of GatherMate2, the version for WoW Classic can be found here
GatherMate will remember the location of every herb you pick or every ore you mine, so that you can easily find the positions of the herbs and mines again. Once you come into range of a recorded spot, GatherMate will show an icon representing the type of herb/ore/fish/etc. on your mini map, directly allowing you to decide if its worth checking out. Additionally, all spots are shown on the World Map, to ease navigation to certain types of nodes and making gathering more fun.
To give you a head start, GatherMate2 also offers a pre-filled data module, so you don't need to discover all herbs and mines yourself, but instead can just start gathering right away. Simply install GatherMate2_Data and hit a few buttons to import all the provided data, and you're good to go.

Usage
Using GatherMate2 is straight-forward.
After the installation, GatherMate2 is automatically active and collecting data.
You can configure which data should be shown on the World Map or MiniMap in the Configuration Dialog, which can be accessed either via the /gathermate slash command or be found in the Interface options in the WoW Menu.
Localization (Translation of Nodes)
GatherMate2 relies on the node names to be translated in all languages WoW supports. You can contribute additional translations for your language here using the Localization tool:
https://www.wowace.com/projects/gathermate2/localization
Any translations submitted through that tool will be automatically included in the next release.
GatherMate2_Data
GatherMate2_Data has been updated with all fresh data from Wowhead, including support for Shadowlands, and will be continously updated throughout the coming expansion.
If you are looking for a pre-filled database for GatherMate2, get GatherMate2_Data here:

The icons were sliding for me in Mount Hyjal. I then went to Orgrimmar, switched toons for a bit, and then logged in and returned to Hyjal. The icons weren't sliding anymore. Not sure if it was relogging or the zone switches, but problem seems to be gone now.
Also, separate issue, but the icons are sliding over the mini map when I move. They're exactly right when right on top of stuff, but as I move away from an icon, it moves away across the mini map.
This occurs on the standard Blizzard minimap but is difficult to see. its much easier to see when zoomed 2x or 4x. I use BasicMinimap at 2x zoom for gathering, and they're sliding all over the place.
odd, ill see what going on, it is working fine on beta (i dont have live client installed on my laptop just beta client)
Just updated, using 1.18, and whever I pick up a node I get this:
i just updated sharing that should fix it, please bear with me im traveling this week and its hard to test on my laptop
I am also not getting Maplewood Treasure Chests to show (see comment from another user from two days ago.) Your addon is fantastic, and I am so pleased with it. Unfortunately since I am leveling in Northrend, these chests were at the top of my priority list! Can this be fixed? xoxoxoxo
@Samboda
you get wowhead to remove thos bad nodes and it will dissapear form the data set. there is something new coming to wowdb for map info on nodes. once that comes in i may switch to that instead of wowhead, well see
Can something be done about zones that have been split (Stranglethorn Vale, Barrens). When i import the data from Gathermate_data there are a few nodes showing in Stranglethorn Vale in places that doesn't make any sense; the same thing happens in Northern Barrens.
Please add Dark Soil as Treasure

Kagaro,
I saw in WowAce that you were trying to use GatherMate2 to track mysterious camel figurines... were you successful? If so, how did you do it? Do you have the database to load/share? What do we need to change to get it to work?
GatherMate2_Data now has all the camel locations in it. just load it up and import the treasure db.
Im still debugging why the camels dont mark the map. its hard just cause trying to find one to test is very difficult.
This is really an awsome piece of work :-)
I've been using it forever but have had the urge to try to use it to mark *my* point of interest, just points.
This would seem relatively easy, but it wasn't:-(
1. Where can i find a mapping of zones to "zone codes?"
2. What is the mapping of x,y to the location number?
3. Where do I find the mapping of 3 digit item code to item? Can i pick any icon?
4. Can I create a new category?
Example: The Barading Fox spawns in 16 places in Tol Barad (if I remember correctly) . It does not move much around at all, so being able to mark these "approximate" positions on the map would be great. I don't need to see the 'yellow-circle' to actually pop up, I just need the location on the map.
I would like to assign it a specific icon (so as to distinguish it from the other nodes) and it should have its own category so it's not considered to be any of the others. I could reuse something that's less relevant to me like "treasure" but a user defined type would be nice - something that will show regardless of the character.
Thanks, so much!
Use HandyNotes, it does what your looking for, custom map notes.
Was leveling an alt using gathermate and required herbalism lvl for Frozen Herb is now 400 (wowwiki says 415, gathemate2 says 425).
http://www.wowhead.com/object=190173/frozen-herb confirms 400.
what folders or folders is the saved data for locations, i would like to transfer my data when beta becomes live how would i go about doing that, or upload to wowinterface?
@kagaro
awsome!!!
@twotrack2010
added
what would come in handy is adding locations to "dark soil " for the reputation grind for tillers. ive been testing this out on beta for the last week now and im very pleased with the work that has been done on this add on keep up the good work!
how do i use this???
I'm not seeing Dark Iron Treasure Chests or Maplewood Treasure Chests anywhere(minus one or two in select zones) on my maps. I tried manually adding Dragonblights list of Maplewood chests to no avail. Tried moving it round, rearranging it, etc, nothing worked. Could be ID problems? I found another list of IDs that were different from the IDs used here(looking at just last 3 numbers).
