Database dump for GatherMate
Data is gathered from several sources, including user submitted data.
So I see that the the data file is now based on WoWDB and not WoWHead. Is the WoWDB Eastern Plaguelands map updated for wotlk? It looks like it still has a lot of the old spawns, without adjusting for the shift after the Death Knight area was added. On the other hand, it looks like WoWHead has updated. Might it be better to use WoWHead as your source?
Hmm, if I hadn't seen this comment I might never have noticed the change from using WoWHead data over to using WoWDB data! I'd also like to know if the WoWDB Eastern Plaguelands map has been updated for WotLK. Can anyone confirm this please?
The only way to maintain any accuracy in the database of both wowhead and wowdb is to run the wowhead looter or curse profiler and upload the data. If you like wowhead run the wowhead looter, if you like wowdb run the curse profiler, if you like both, run both.
Adding new points is well and fine. The problem isn't that new points aren't being added, it's that the old points aren't being removed. When the DK starting area came, the map for the Eastern Plaguelands changed, so unless the pre-WotLK data is either purged or transformed, the Eastern Plaguelands map has many locations that are false data.
Kagaro, sorry to bother you. But,I haven't properly used this addon and I already love it,well the idea of it.See,when I track nodes, the circles that indicate where the mining node is at shows up.I go to it,and theres nothing there. On some there is,but most are wrong. Can you help me out please?
P.S I think I might be able to get my epic flyer soon with this addon! Please reply (=
Those little circles are the possible spawn location of a node. At one point in time a node was there, it doesn't guarantee that when you get to that location a node will be there just that a node has been there and it may be there now or in the future.
If you want to know which one have the minerals in them then you need to turn on your Find Minerals that comes with the mining skill. Then when you walk by them if there is a gold dot inside the red circle then there will be something there. Btw I luv this addon it has helped ALOT
I cannot see any of the nodes on either my mini map or world map. It worked just fine until yesterday, when I goofed and made a mistake and accidentally erased instead of cleaned the database. I reinstalled...and can see nothing. PLEASE, help me...I need this add on. All settings have been checked, these articles have been read. I can't figure it out.
Why can't I import anything but WOTLK data? BC and vanilla nodes won't load for mining though i have fishing for them for the most part. What gives? I have everything in the filters enabled, and the import data has 2 options: wotlk and BC; BC import did nothing.
Type /gathermate, then go to Import Data > GatherMateData > Import Options. You should see an option on what data to pull in. Uncheck the box that says Expansion Data Only. You should be good to go.
