GnomeWorks TradeSkill Frame -
a complete replacement for the blizzard trade skill frame.
Curious question, Is it possible to queue recipes you don't have yet? For example if i want to powerlevel blacksmithing from 1-450(525) i typically follow a leveling guide, buy everything and do it all in one go. Being able to toss it all in queue ahead of time would definitely speed the process up.
the experimental leveling aid only works for trade skills that create items at the moment. if you scan the full list of recipes for a tradeskill, then visit the trainer, it'll record the levels at which you can train up. then those skills will show up in the gw frame for your toon and you can queue them up like any other. if you sort by skill up chance, you'll be able to see when a skill becomes active as you gain levels from your queued skills. it's really hacky and will probably change considerably, but i was using it to level up my scribe with reasonable success.
"what layout mode gave you that error? flat or grouped?"
Grouped.
"in the meantime, if you don't want it to use alt sources consider the shopping list "from alt" section to be the list of things you don't have."
It didn't give me that though, possibly has something to do with the LUA error. The shopping list section simply looked as it I had enough mats on hand, until the queued recipes started turning red. I had to pretty much guess what and how much i needed. I reverted to r69, and it worked as intended.
Also, it's not a major deal, but for large crafting queues, GW was excruciatingly slow. I was crafting around 400 glyphs, and the queue took about a minute to populate, and paused the game for a couple of seconds after each item got crafted. I have quad-core 3KHz Xeon PowerMac with 8GB RAM, so the computing power and memory and not bottlenecks.
BTW, despite all the development problems, GW looks like it will eventually kick ass. keep up the good work dude!
I don't know if I'm just oblivious or if it's something tricksy, but in r93, you mentioned some experimental skill leveling tools... I can't find them. :P Was going to let it figure out my enchating, but no go, as of yet. I visited the trainer and the auction house to see if there were any extra options, but maybe I'm misunderstanding, LOL.
I did some more testing and having trouble with the logic of the herb suggester (r93). I need 24 Violet pigments for my queue. After scanning the auction, it suggests that I but 38 Gromsblood for a total cost of 102.26g. There are a few options of getting Violet Pigment including Firebloom, Purple Lotus, Arthas' Tears, Sungrass, Blindweed, Ghost Mushroom and Gromsblood. On my realm, Sungrass is typically the least expensive at 1.4g per herb yielding 250% drop rate on Violet Pigment. The Gromsblood is 2.3g per herb yielding a 300% drop rate on Violet pigment.
Math time...
Celestial Ink Glyphs (Need 24 Violet Pigments)- This one is incorrectly suggested
50 x Sungrass at 1.4g (DR of 2.5) = 70g for 25 Violet Pigment's (1 stack of 20 for 28g, 1 stack of 15 for 21.42g, 1 stack of 20 for 32.45g) = total cost of 81.87g for 55 herbs
40 x Gromsblood at 2.3g (DR of 3.0) = 92g for 24 Violet Pigments (1 stack of 20 for 40.75, 2 stacks of 5 for 14.96g ea, 1 stack of 8 for 31.58g) = total cost of 102.25g for 38 herbs (lost one after scan but still more expensive than the sungrass option)
Lion's Ink Glyphs (Need 23 golden pigment) - This one works out
Suggested 4 x Grave Moss and 35 x Life Root, both rare herbs. Options are Wild Steelbloom (DR 2.5), Grave Moss (DR 2.5), Kingsblood (DR 3.0) and Liferoot (DR 3.0)
Liferoot - Need 35 - 16 for 12.8, 20 for 16.57 for a total of 29.37g (1 extra herb)
Kingsblood - Need 35 - 10 for 9.5g, 20 for 19.75g and 20 for 19.75 for a total of 49g (15 extra herb)
Here is my queue in total (from KTQ)
-- 4 Purchase Grave Moss
-- 1 Mill Grave Moss (Golden Pigment x2)
-- 35 Purchase Liferoot - again the more expensive of the herb options
-- 7 Mill Liferoot (Golden Pigment x 21)
-- 11 Lion's Ink
1 Glyph of Healing Touch
-- 38 Purchase Gromsblood (Violet Pigment x 24)
-- 12 Celestial Ink
2 Glyph of Ice Block
2 Glyph of Blink
1 Glyph of the Arctic Wolf
2 Glyph of Soul Swap
I have a big problem with the r93 release, when scribing glyphs (I was previously at r69, the last release which worked the way I want). Specifically, GW seems to take into consideration mats availability on my alts; but i in fact do not want it to do that. My scribe is my raiding main, so my bank is full, and I keep extra inks on my alt. Not seeing materials calculations with regard to the inks in the bag doesn't let me plan. GW shows that I am all cool with mats, then the queue runs half-way down, and all of a sudden the queue items are red, yet the mats summary below doesn't show how many of each ink I still need.
Also, when i right-click on the ink under an item to select a source, I get a LUA error:
Working well so far tonight. I had faith and let GW suggest which herbs to buy and it seems to have done well. Is there anything that will allow it to buy the herbs from the AH like it buys from the vendor or do I just need to purchase the number shown in the reagent count? I am ~225 scribe and made about 1000g today with this add-on (combined with KTQ). I am happy to test anything out as I am actively using this.
the latest rev has an optimized queue recalculation routine. hopefully it doesn't bog down too much now.
i'm leveling a scribe so i can get a better picture of some of the scribe issues. if anybody would like to assist me by donations of in-game gold, it'd make debugging a lot easier for me. lilsparky/alliance/lothar(us) or judithpriest/horde/silvermoon(us). it'd also give me a chance to work on my powerleveling tools.
hmm... okay, that's good to know. i probably need to stress test with a ton of items in the queue, then.
that makes me think the problem isn't just the inventory scan, it's the adjustments made at each stage of the queue.
what's happening is that the first entry take 5 widgets, so the inventory needs to be updated (which means recalculating all the craftable counts that could have used those widgets, etc). multiply this by every change to the queue and it becomes quite a length of time i suppose...
optimization is going to be crucial.
lusitan, the sorting is messed up by the column order changing when the skillup chance column comes and goes. if it doesn't sort by inventory properly, try sorting by craftability and it'll likely actually sort by inventory. :(
With r92, when I link my profession into chat it drops my framerate down to about 4fps and locks up the game. Going back to r88 for the moment.
Edited to reply to Oukami: Up at the top of the screen, right below the search box, you'll see the word "Recipe" and an arrow thingy that lets you expand or collapse all the recipe categories. If you right click on that, you'll get filtering options. Be aware, though, that your filtering settings persist across all your professions, so you'll need to change it back and forth sometimes.
Been meaning to ask this for a bit, but keep forgetting. Is there anyway to filter out, say everything that is gray, in the craftables list leaving only green and up patterns viewable? I remember being able to do this with Skillet, but cannot seem to find that option with GW, though I may very well be blind. :) Thanks.

Help! :D
I also got the following logged in my chat:
GnomeWorks: ScanTrade can't find player name. 1 nil
This was at a different time. It occurred when I used the guild profession finder to look at the recipes of a guild member who was offline.
Got a nil error with r94:

Thanks for the work on this addon!
i queue the glyphs and it takes a second, but now within the last 2-3 updates the addon makes my game stop responding.
it queues up creates then when it finishes the first glyph the game locks up for 10 seconds before going on to the next one.
any suggestions?
thanks!
what layout mode gave you that error? flat or grouped?
i'll be adding a method to force gw to use a particular source (or ignore a particular source) but that's tbd.
in the meantime, if you don't want it to use alt sources consider the shopping list "from alt" section to be the list of things you don't have.

New info:
When the Queue list gets shorter - gnomeworks starts to be more normale and freezes get smaller.
With 1-10 stuff on the queue list the addon was working more normally (still a very small freeze)
Got shame problem as ZoeRayne.
When i choose to add more than 1 make to the Queue list it freeze my game. When i start making the list then it freeze again.
It stop freezing when i made the amount of the same item.
Making 1 item = freeze 3sec Making 2 items = freeze 6sec Making 3 item = freeze 9sec and so on.
Is there anyway to sort the inventory column, on my Scribe, to show it from lowest to highest, something like this
Cause atm is all random, it used to work that way before
Is there anyway to change the size of the font? It's too small for me. It's hard for me to read. Thanks
weird. dunno why linking your profession would drop your framerate... i'll see why that might occur.
With r92, when I link my profession into chat it drops my framerate down to about 4fps and locks up the game. Going back to r88 for the moment.
