HandyNotes
Handy Notes for your maps. This addon is intended to be a small and simple framework for showing notes on your map.
Use /handynotes to access options.
You can add notes to the maps in 3 ways:
- Alt-RightClick on the world map to add a note.
- Use "/hnnew" without the quotes to add a note at your current location.
- Use "/hnnew x,y" without the quotes to add a note at location x,y on your current zone's map.

1) Can I provide a zone name? When I am in Port of Zandalar, the coordinates are not related to the zone Zuldazar but Dazar'alor. For instance I could not add a note for Shrine of Natures (In Zuldazar) when I was in Port of Zandalar.
2) Can I list all my notes?
3) Can i remove notes using command line?
4) How to create notes that load only when a specific character is online. It feels Handynotes creates notes using global profile! How to control it. Also how to "move" notes from global to specific profile?

Posted May 9, 2019why does handy notes, since the last update popps up ALL notes from a zone onto the minimap, when iam going into some underground,dungeon,or stuff like this .... ?
its like all nots from the whole area outside is displayed at the minimap and even on the zone map ( dungeon map or underground area maps )

some day, have /hnnew x,y "some title" -iconx slash command to actually add the title to the tilte inside Add Handy Note window, plus it would be nice to have the icon also pre-defined...
currently, adding any title after coordinates do nothing, and with like 20 coords to add at once, it's somewhat very annoying to copy paste twice for each coordinate :( #mytwocents

Posted Mar 9, 2019I want all of my characters to use the same settings for various handynotes plugins.
I created a profile using the Interaface Addon section for handynotes, but as far as I can tell, none of the handynotes plugins use that setting.
Any ideas? PS: I have over 100 toons: really don't want to set it up for each one.

Posted Feb 20, 2019I have about 60 locations that I would like to create handynotes for is there a way to automate creating those in bulk instead of creating them one at a time? Ideally do this in a way that I can give to guildies.
I'm an experienced programmer and could write some code to do it, but i'm unsure of how to navigate creating a hn plugin or just call api's in 1 "one time script"
Any docs you can point me to?

Posted Jan 27, 2019I've been running into an issue with HandyNotes as of late. I'm not sure if it's with the main mod or the plugins I'm using but it happens in both Draenor and legions zones that I've checked so far. when I enter an area within a zone that has its own map such as Bladespire in Frostfire Ridge or Thundertotem in Highmountain. I get all of the larger zone's map pins showing smashed together in the smaller area's map and on the minimap.

Posted Jan 14, 2019So I have the most up to date version available on my twitch client however when I log into WoW it says my handynotes app is out of date. it seems to be working, for the most part, I don't know if its malfunctioning or interfering with any other addons in any way but blizzard says that it is out of date for some reason.
