HeadCount2
HeadCount2
Re-Write of the original HeadCount. This rewrite is to move to Ace3 and WoW 4.0
HeadCount2 is a configurable World of Warcraft add-on that automatically tracks raid attendance, loot, and boss kills.
HeadCount2 answers the following questions:
- How long is a player active in a raid?
- How long is a player on standby for a raid?
- How long is a player offline during a given raid?
- What loot dropped during a raid and who received it?
- What boss kills occurred during a given raid and who was there for the kill?
Features
Raids
- Raid creation: Automatically creates a new raid as you join or start a raid.
- Raid finalization: Automatically ends an existing raid as you leave a raid.
- Raid management: The user can end raids, remove raids, or remove all raids on demand.
- Raid zone tracking: Zone name are automatically added to raids as you zone into a raid instance for the first time.
Player attendance
- Player tracking: Players are tracked based on their timed participation in the raid. Players can be tracked based on configurable raid groups for raid list activity (active raiding players) and wait list players (queue/standby players).
- Player removal: The user can remove tracked information for specific players on demand.
- Player history: View specific player history for a raid to see how and when a player moved from activity to standby to offline and back during a raid.
- No list tracking: Players can be tracked as non-raid list and non-standby players as needed. Players that go offline are automatically taken out of the raid and wait list groups for tracking purposes.
- Integrated wait list: Receive whispers from members outside of the raid group in order to track them.
Boss kills
- Boss kill tracking: Tracks the world bosses killed during the course of a raid and the raid list members present for the kill.
- Boss kill removal: The user can remove tracked boss kills on demand.
- Manual boss kill: The user can add a boss kill to the current raid at the current time with the current roster via the config UI
Loot
- Loot tracking: Tracks loot received during a raid based on configurable item level quality (default: Epic item level or higher)
- Loot removal: The user can remove specific pieces of loot on demand.
- Loot exclusion: The user can manage loot exclusion which will prevent certain pieces of loot from being tracked during a raid.
Export
- Export: Users can export current raid attendance and received loot information to one of a number of formats (CSV, XML, Text, EQdkp XML string, phpBB forum post, phpBB with ItemStats forum post).
Reporting
- Boss kill broadcast: The user can optionally broadcast when the raid kills a boss to a configurable chat channel.
- Loot broadcast: The user can optionally broadcast when a player receives a valid piece of loot to a configurable chat channel.
Performance
- Fault tolerance: If the mod owner quits WoW, restarts WoW, or reloads their UI during a raid and returns to the game, HeadCount2 will attempt to gracefully recover from the outage to continue tracking the active raid.
- Attendance delay: Configure how often HeadCount should manage attendance updates to increase or decrease performance and/or accuracy.
This mod is dead or not for 4.3 ?
Because this mod don't save boss kill
and when i send loot a member i don't have a boss for a loot.
@Stanoslav
Kagaro ... did some more research on this. It seems to miss the "last" boss killed for each raid, but not the loot. If you only kill one boss, you never see it in the list or the (xml) export. if you simply kill another boss .. poof! it appears in the list and also the (xml) export.
Can anyone confirm similar behaviour? Stanoslav
Hello,
I've come across some interesting behavior in the HeadCount2 addon, that I actually saw previously mentioned in the thread but I never saw a resolution or fix posted.
The issue that I'm having is that when I log on and start a raid (or even without a raid started) Headcount doesn't seem to be available. If I go to Interfaces > Headcount2 the only thing I see available is the "Debug" checkbox. However, if I log off this particular character and swap to another account (same computer & WoW installation) Headcount2 is there (skull icon, Enable Minimap Icon checkbox, frames with options, et cetera).
What would be preventing me from accessing Headcount2 from one account but not the other, as they both reference the same WoW and WoW Interfaces folder? The toon I want to access this from but can't happens to be the guild leader/raid leader toon, thus the need for Headcount2 on this particular toon. Let me know what I might need to delete, modify or provide and I'll be happy to assist (I'm relatively computer competent if you need something specific).
kagaro, Does not seem to be logging boss kills ... but not seeing tonnes complaining I am figuring it might be me. Is there a way to start clean? (uninstall / reinstall or do you recommend something else?) Thanks, Stano
reinstall helped, but only after clearing the cache ) (didn't wipe it after patch)
thx
its included in the package, unless you installed no libs

For anyone having trouble exporting to xml in 4.2, edit Util.lua and 'string.replace' in lines 257-261 with 'string.gsub', and it should work.
IE: If I am the primary tracker and not in for a boss kill but another officer running the addon is, will it sync?
My localization is Traditional Chinese (zhTW).
Hi, First off thanks for the addon, it is awesome for attendance tracking.
One thing I noticed last night that has occured in the past I just hadn't noticed it until now is that when I export it it gives all the attendance stuff correctly but then the loot all shows as normal loot. Is there a bug or just a setting I need to change to get it to show heroic loot for the appropriate bosses? My guild is currently 3/12 heroic so hopefully it is something easy to change/setting to change for individual fights.
Once again, not one boss was recorded from the 8 bosses we have killed this week. I'm getting the announcement on the side that "X boss engaged" or "detected", but no proper announcement when it's killed or when loot is distributed. Just says "trash."
Appreciate your hard work on this!
