Heal Organizer
This add-on helps organizing the healers in your raid by allowing the user to drag and drop healers into different assignments. Assignments can be as complex or simple as the user wishes.
= Quick Start =
- Open Heal Organizer by using the slash command: /healorganizer, /hlorg, or /ho
- Click on the default assignments (%MT1%, %MT2%, …etc) to change wording
- Drag and drop healers into assignments
- Optionally enable whispering assignments by clicking “Whisper healers…”
- Click “Raid”/”Channel” in the “Broadcast” section to publish the healing assignments.
= Usage =
- Assignments can use %MT1% through %MT10% as replacement strings for main tank names. Main tanks can be set via CT_Raid enabled add-ons like Ora2.
- Any unassigned healer automatically takes on the “Remaining” assignment, but will not be whispered.
- There is a key binding registered under the WoW standard key binding interface. (Press ESC => Keybindings, to bring it up).
= Autofill =
Hover over an empty slot and use your mouse wheel. It will cycle through the following labels:
- Empty
- Priest
- Druid
- Paladin/Shaman
= Saving Sets =
You can define 30 sets which can be saved, loaded and deleted. Each set saves the assignment text and class for each assignment. It does not save the healers’ names as players are likely to change between raids.
= Slash Commands =
/ho dialog
This will open the heal organizer dialogue. This can be used in a macro or you can just setup a key binding via the standard WoW key binding interface (ESC => Keybindings, look near the end).
/ho autosort
This option toggles whether players will be sorted by class/name within groups. This is only useful if the order you assign healers denotes things like backup healers or secondary healers.
= SVN/Contributing =
Contributions/suggestions are always welcome, but it doesn’t mean I will always use/implement them. Please feel free to contact me! For source contributions please provide a diff.

Getting a weird error when I try and open the mod after I have joined a raid the error is as follows:
Interface/addons/healorgainzer/healorganizer.lua/:904 Attempt to index field " Main Tank" ( a nil value )
Any tips on how to fix this ? The interface will not come up at all. Works fine when I am outside of a raid tho :(
offline users cause some strange coloring, shouldn't be a problem to fix this :)
some functionality added, see changelog.
In Version 1.0 I will change the "show" option to "dialog", which hide or show the dialog, depend on if its already shown or not. And If someone want to replace some localization in the frFR-Locale this will be the version to do so.
After Version 1.0 (if there aren't any bugfixes before *g*) I will add an autofill function with setting up classes per group. For this functionality I need ideas how a user would use this functionality to add/remove/edit/change/move classes for the groups. I have an idea but maybe someone has a better one.
another solution to hide the window: /hlorg show as toggle: "show" opens the window, but if window already open "show" hides the window. instead of "show" you could take ie "toggle"
that would make it easier to bind it on one makro-button
about minimap icon...
i think i will not use it. have enough of em and lots of ppl hates em better, a keybind to show/hide the form will be something great.
dont remember error well . next raid will try to understand whats wrong and try to reproduce the bug or at least give you the error type
anyway the unitid was a great improvement, worth some work on it :) (in my guildraids members join/leave every 5 seconds :S )
@evil.oz Haven't test this unitID to username long enougth, which error do you get? @Mavtoo Minimap-Icon - I have to check FuBarPlugin, and I don't know how many Icons are there for someone who have a lot of Addons. Esc - Should be addes easily. Class arrangement - It's useless if there is no autofill feature and saving these arrangement.
This becomes complicated as like as Napoleon looks like :(
still something to fix with unit names yesterday in mc , after 2 hours (everyrhing worked fine) i had a pala written in white and errors in the log. pushed reset and all went well.
first of all VERY Nice Addon!!!!
So but a few changes would be very nice.
1. Can you add a minimap button?? the First day i use it i write everytime i want to see it /hlorg show but this is not very komfortable so everybody who use it would write a makro and put the makro button somewhere. This cost one of the 120 button spaces which sometimes used by other addons. a Minimap button would be more uncomplicated.
2. a function like "/hlorg hide" (or is it already implemented? but not documented? sometimes i only want a short view to the list and it would be much faster if i can do it by any keybinding. the minimap button to open and close the window :-D Btw.: why doesn't it close when i hit ESC?? is it a bug or a "feature"? *g*
3. i would love to see the changes somebody already said: A possibility to save the configuration by classes and not by names (MT1: 1 Priest, 1 Druid, 1 Pala, etc. ) and the possibility to to change the konfigurations by keybinding or slash command for example in a fix order Boss 1, Boss2, Boss 3 etc.)
i think thats it.
thanks
with table.insert(messages, L["REMAINS"]..": "..action) that way the "Remains:" string only appears if you select heal or cleanse checkboxes the other thing is rename "Heal" to "Heal raid" in localization
keep it up :)
its out, hope it works...
There are still localization needs in frFR, check the bottom of the Healorganizer-frFR.lua file.
new sorting option is nice. I've also been using this for shackle orders on gothik. Its nice to be able to switch the order around.
Actually it's an option to disable the standard autosort mechanism :) You are then able to move players even WITHIN your groups (slot 1-4). It's very useful if you have 'complex' healing arrangements (grp 1 first, if player X (1,2,3, ...) from grp 1 gets OOM - player X from group 2 starts healing, ...) It only affects the sort order inside every group, you can't set players to slot 4 when slots 1-3 are empty).
autosort implemented by smb
What is the error with SCT? I know SCT5 use Ace2, but why should there an error o_O.
incompatible witch ScrollCombatText 5.1 stick with 5.0 that works fine :)
Edit: Nevermind.
Thanks
I can confirm this error, new members will disturb the raidIDs and therefore the heal arrangement. I'll have to change it from "raidID" to "playername", but this will cost time.
I had yesterday the problem, that we started with 38 people in a raid und after i organized the healer another person comes in the raid and i looked on the healorganizer and nearly all healers where in the right place.
