Heal Organizer
This add-on helps organizing the healers in your raid by allowing the user to drag and drop healers into different assignments. Assignments can be as complex or simple as the user wishes.
= Quick Start =
- Open Heal Organizer by using the slash command: /healorganizer, /hlorg, or /ho
- Click on the default assignments (%MT1%, %MT2%, …etc) to change wording
- Drag and drop healers into assignments
- Optionally enable whispering assignments by clicking “Whisper healers…”
- Click “Raid”/”Channel” in the “Broadcast” section to publish the healing assignments.
= Usage =
- Assignments can use %MT1% through %MT10% as replacement strings for main tank names. Main tanks can be set via CT_Raid enabled add-ons like Ora2.
- Any unassigned healer automatically takes on the “Remaining” assignment, but will not be whispered.
- There is a key binding registered under the WoW standard key binding interface. (Press ESC => Keybindings, to bring it up).
= Autofill =
Hover over an empty slot and use your mouse wheel. It will cycle through the following labels:
- Empty
- Priest
- Druid
- Paladin/Shaman
= Saving Sets =
You can define 30 sets which can be saved, loaded and deleted. Each set saves the assignment text and class for each assignment. It does not save the healers’ names as players are likely to change between raids.
= Slash Commands =
/ho dialog
This will open the heal organizer dialogue. This can be used in a macro or you can just setup a key binding via the standard WoW key binding interface (ESC => Keybindings, look near the end).
/ho autosort
This option toggles whether players will be sorted by class/name within groups. This is only useful if the order you assign healers denotes things like backup healers or secondary healers.
= SVN/Contributing =
Contributions/suggestions are always welcome, but it doesn’t mean I will always use/implement them. Please feel free to contact me! For source contributions please provide a diff.

Yes... Good comments. There is another mod that does this called Napoleon. It's VERY powerful, but can sometimes be tough to use because of it's UI, and is not ACE or ACE2. I would love to go as much ACE2 as possible.
Some of the previous posters suggestions would rock!
Here's some more.
Grab The MT names from ORA/CT_RA Add more "Roles"/Jobs. Allow the use of the raid icons as descriptors.
For example, we Shield the Broodlord's target whenever they get Mortal Striked. It would be cool if we could say. Skull Icon Target -> Shield -> Priest1Name, Priest2Name
its a very nice addons !
Little suggestions, have the possibility to select your MT with draging your MT into MT1 MT2 MT3 etc... target.
Also have the possibility to have more than only 3 healers per MT
also have the possibility to assign healer to a specific class or role (melee DPS, caster)
exemple:
tank name (MT1) healer #1 healer #2 healer #3 healer #4
tank #2 name (MT1) healer #5 healer #6
dispel
melee dps healer #7 healer #8 healer #9 healer #10.
Thanks !!
Nice Addon!
Now, if you would add a buff group distribution similar to kkbk (http://www.curse-gaming.com/de/wow/addons-5120-1-kkbk.html) this would be the no. 1 healer organizing addon.
this isn't a broadcast-chan like ct_raid had thosedays. Its used to send the arrangement to the healer-channel, if it exists. If your healers are all in such a channel like "foobarhealer" then you can send there the arrangement instead of the raidchat where no no-healer need it. It has nothing to do with some sync-messages and only one person need this addon, the one who organize the healer.
btw.: I fixed the 4 healer in group bug, I hope so...
Still require to use a channel? Shouldn't you use the new method to send messages directly for the addon, like ct_raid does as in Version 1.12??
The suggestion about editing the jobs and configure it with sets is a good one. But I dont know whether and how I implement this.
The suggestion about duties like "hot", "shield" and so have I rejected. I don't want to say the groups how to do something. If I implement this with some checkboxes and radiobuttons and so on for every group it could be ornate (dict.leo.org \o/) like the Napoleon addon is (or better looks like the screenshots, haven't test it). I want it clear and intuitive setting healer-groups like changing the groups in the raidframe. When I implement the job-sets (you know, time and motivation :)) its enought to write the extra jobs in the fields as Merdon mentioned.
Added frFR localization
Hi,
this Mod is something I have been looking for a long time. I'm gonna give it a try. What i am missing: Sometimes healers have to do other things too ( priest have to dispell Shazzrah or kill mages at Razergore).
Maybe instead of just having fixed "jobs" (MT1, MT2....) you could provide freely configurable "jobs" (textboxes). Normally the jobs would be "Heal MT1", "Heal MT2", .."Dispell". If I dont need "Heal MT5" i could then just change ist to "Dispell Shazzrah" or whatever I like.
It woul be perfect if I could also save those configurations (not the players, just the jobs).
Examples:
Configuration "Lucifron" Job 1: "Heal MT1" Job 2: "Heal MT2" Job 3: "Heal MT3" Job 4: "Decurse MindControl / Heal Raid"
Configuration "Golemagg" Job 1: "Heal MT1, Healgroup1" Job 2: "Heal MT1, Healgroup2" Job 3: "Heal MT2" Job 4: "Heal MT3"
And one last thing: Sometimes you have new people and you have to tell them not only "what to do" but also "how to do". So it would be good if I could add (and save) a description to every job (just another textbox).
awsome... thank you Progman. =]
hopefully maybe you can add shield duties and other specific skill duties.
Looks promising. I would like the option to fill in the names of the MT's, or let your addon grab them from CTRA or oRA.
added the enGB support. And I found a bug if you try to set 4 healers for a MT/Dispell, you will get an ugly error. To prevent this error dont set 4 healers for a group ;). I'll fix it in the next days
I made a sloppy english translations: http://jussi.satullite.net/HealOrganizerGB.zip
nice idea, i thought about writing something like this, but i had enought to do with my own addon...
i would much appreciate if there was an english translation. Im not much of a coding person. So I'm not sure how to use the AceLocale options.
Also maybe add other duties like shields and heal over time dudties like renew, rejuv, regrowth, and whatnot
Looks really promising, gotta give it a go
....this addon could save a lot of time.
I'll try to test it as soon as possible, and will definetely keep an eye on it.
is that coming?
feel free to send me some localizations ;) (http://www.wowace.com/index.php/AceLocale-2.1). Check the HealOrganizer-deDE.lua file, and write one in your prefered language.
