InspectEquip

Table of Contents

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

InspectEquip attaches a panel to the inspect window that shows a list of the character's equipment sorted by source (i.e. Raid: Dragon Soul, Vendor, Crafted...). This gives you a quick overview of a character's equipment.

InspectEquip also adds detailed item source information (including boss names, item prices for vendor items etc) to all item tooltips.

Currently supported items include (no green items):

All raid items with detailed boss information, including Mists of Pandaria raids
Dungeon drops for all instances
Quest rewards for dungeon/raid quests, including legendary items
Justice/Valor Point items
Honor/Conquest Point items
Reputation items sold by faction vendors
Crafted items
Darkmoon Faire items, including the cards and the new rewards
The Kirin Tor rings sold in Dalaran
World Event items
The Argent Tournament rewards
Guild Vendor items

InspectEquip also works with Examiner and includes support for cached Examiner characters.

WoW 6.x/Warlords of Draenor support:

The latest version of this addon is compatible with WoW 6.0. Please note that the dungeon and raid drops are updated automatically via the Encounter Journal (i.e. they should be available immediately when a new WoW patch is released). Other data, such as vendor or crafted items, still require an addon update.

If a shield or other item has a socket and the socket is empty, you should warn about it

if you open the characterpanel, <c> , you should see a frame with your own items attached on the right side of the panel.

emelio, we are missing, world drops like http://www.wowhead.com/item=67144#dropped-by

and craftables like http://www.wowhead.com/item=68777#comments

Are there any slash commands for this add on? I some how moved almost all of the inspect window off my screen so now only a small portion overhangs the right side. I can 't drag it back into the screen. I tried deleting the savied varriables, but that didn't work. I uninstalled it and Dl it again but its still off the side of my screen, any ideas of how I can fix this?

I love the listing of the items. How can we see this list of items for our own player? Can you do a self-inspect? I'd like to see it for what I have currently equipped, and maybe even see a list like that for each equipment set I have. If I have to equip first, that would be ok, but a bit more cumbersome.

Checking in On Cata Item Source update? Absolutely love this mod, it was exactly what I had searched for. Waiting patiently for the Cata version. Hope all is well.

You can download the Beta version, which contains all dungeon + normal mode raid items, reputation items and the justice/valor point items. A few items are still missing, such as crafted items, heroic raid items, BoE zone drops + all PvP stuff.

I currently don't have a reliable list of BoE raid drops (that doesn't also include world drops). I'm looking for a solution though.

i don't think heroic items arent as important for raids yet as you make it look like.
Right now, not many people wear those items, as soon as they do, the data will become available in wowhead ;)

I'm working on it. I hope to have a version with most of the new items ready in the next few days. Can't promise it will be complete though. Since I can't use the armory anymore I have to rely on Wowhead. Unfortunately their data isn't complete, for example they don't have drop information for heroic raid items.

For some reason my IE window attached to my character frame is overlapping the char frame scroll bar a bit making it nearly impossible to use the scroll bar. Anyone else having this issue?

how about this schedule? ;) Early january in my opinion wont last much longer
and i was wondering if we could get some info on new prices, items and as mentioned the gemmed state of items. Not sure if a beltbuckle is returned as enchant though ;)

Blizzard's Inspect window is still very buggy in 4.0.3.
A workaround/fix for most of the problems is available in InspectFix:

Yes, hopefully soon... The problem is that I don't have much time to maintain this right now and unfortunately Blizzard decided to shut down the old armory (which previously had loot tables for all bosses) just when Cataclysm launched. This means that it will be much more work to update the database than I expected, and I just don't have the time to do that right now.
I hope to have an updated version in about 2 weeks... it's bugging me too that all items are listed as unknown :( Sorry for the delay!
