This addon doesn't work with Bagnon in tbc. they throwing errors at each other and bagnon is completely broken cause of it. otherwise I use it but I would like to use updated version of it if you don't mind.

Any idea if this will be successfully ported to Classic? Would love to know where and who drops certain items :)

There's a similar addon named "UsedInReceipe" which doesn't use LibPeriodicTables but just scans the actual known recipes of all characters. But it's good enough until Mendeleev is back on track.

Good time of day. Is the addon still supported?
I'm not quite sure, but the last update LibPeriodicTable was September 19, 2018. This corresponds to patch 8.0.1. Is there more updated information for this addon? For example, tips for items from Legion or Battle for Azeroth?

FYI: The data this addon uses is from LibPeriodicTable, which has been updated for 7.3.5.

 

I replaced the old version in the libs dir with the new one and it seems to be working fine so far. :)

  I just installed Mendeleev to give it a try, by curiosity. It works but, like with other outdated addons, it's impossible to modify any option in its GUI : anything you'll check will return to its previous position once 'okay' has been pressed... And drop-down menus won't even open.

  Is there any chance of update in the future ?

Is there any way I can set the max number of items that appear in the tree?

You should be able to. I know you can turn the tree off anyway - as I do, since you can just check that stuff off on your chars with the profession. 

Mendeleev really reduces the amount of time I need to spend looking up stuff. However, my framerate really drops while displaying tooltips that have a long "Used in" tree. Also, some of these lists can get quite large for anything that can be transmuted or combined, such as various essences and leather.

I would really like an option to limit the used in tree to not consider some of those particular transformations, or limit the depth of the tree to one or two steps, so I don't see the full transmute cycles and everything that can be made with the other essences as well.

This would made the tree more useful, whereas currently for those items with long trees, I end up looking them up on a website, which was what I was trying to avoid in the first place by using Mendeleev. It could also reduce the performance impact, but that might be primarily an issue of how frequently the tooltip is updated.

You can turn the tree off completely. I still shows "used in" for the professions, which is enough information IMO, as you can just check your chars profession list.

Same thing as Informant (see Auctioneer) pretty much. It displays a bunch of extra information regarding items, such as recipe use, classification and stuff.

was this the addon that showed data in the tooltip on where items are found (ie weapons that are from icecrown citadel etc.) ?
