PitBull Unit Frames 3.0
Please note that PitBull3 is no longer being actively developed. On top of lack of active development itself, it's based on the Rock framework which itself is no longer maintained either.
I strongly recommend that users migrate to PitBull4. You can not convert your config from PitBull3 and must reconfigure.
PitBull4 itself can be found at:
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/pitbull4.aspx
You can find guides for setting it up at:
http://www.wowace.com/addons/pitbull4/pages/guide/
And the FAQ here:
http://www.wowace.com/addons/pitbull4/pages/faq/
While PitBull4 is still in beta it is fully functional and has more features than PitBull3. It is actively developed on and bug fixes made regularly.
I do not plan on making any fixes to PitBull3 once Cataclysm releases. So you have plenty of time to make the migration.

PitBull is a Unit Frames addon that provides maximal customization and undergoes rigorous efficiency testing. It is created in a modular framework, which allows for mulitple authors to put their skills to work creating this great project.
It has support for many different kinds of units: player, target, pet, pet's target, target of target, target of target of target, focus, focus' target, party, party pets, party targets, party pet targets, raid, raid pets, raid targets, main tanks, main tank targets, main assists, main assist targets, etc.
Note: Almost all texts are configurable using the LibDogTag-3.0 format. See http://old.wowace.com/wiki/LibDogTag-3.0 for details or type '/dog' in-game.

Im having some problems with these frames. Rigth now all i can see it a dark box where my unit frames are suppose to be. I have v2.2.3, and still cant see anything. I like these alot better than xpearl so i need to know what i going on with them. Thanks
I'm having the same problems.. before it was working fine.. but now whenever i turn pitbull on the frames are just black and the blizzard frames are visible.
Hey, do you know how to disable rating (numbers) near Healing Bar on Pitbull unit frame addon. I think those number's are indicate dmg done on my self. Sorry for my bad english, hope so you can help me,
One of the things I really like about X-Perl (as a holy priest) is that it displays a big red "AGGRO" warning on my screen when I get aggro. Then I Fade and the "AGGRO" turns green, and then goes away.
Does Pitbull have anything like this?
Also, 2 other things. My range checker isn't working... all targets and party members are faded no matter how close to them I am. Also, is there anyway to show all of my party's buffs and not just the ones I cast on them?
Thanks!!
Is there a way to show "Type"? like humanoid, beast and so on.
[SmartRace] isnt doing it good enough for me ;)
cow = beast, not dead looking thing = humanoid, shadowy shady skeleton that has purple aura around him = undead etc etc bugs = not specified because blizzard was lazy with burning crusade
I've been using this mod awhile and recently rerolled a Warlock.
My problem is similar to Chauncy's but slightly different. Instead of having a health bar in which my pets health doesn't drop, my problem is that I don't have a health bar for my pet at all.
I've looked at the pitbull configuration screen a hundred times and still cannot figure out how to turn my pets health bar on.
Could someone get back to me on this? :)
Thanks!
I've been using this mod, and recently I went back to a pet class.
Now, my problem is, my Pet's Health bar does not drop whatsoever, and I've died 2-3 times because of it.
Is there some setting I'm missing that's causing this? I really don't want to go back to default Unit Frames.
screen shots?
Was'nt there a fubar addon for Pitbull once upon a time? It does'nt seem to come with this, and I checked Ace website and I can't find it... :( Very annoying, because I can't get it like I want with this new fubar thing that comes up if I want to configure it, also I think there used to be atleast a minimap addon?
I miss these things and would like to know if it's me or the addon's fault of me not finding any. hehe.
Also another problem is the opcaity, I can't find how to change it to 100% I belive, because i disabled fade etc, but it's still not 100%. :(
any thoughts?
I recently reinstalled PitBull and now the Party frame overlays any other frame which may pop up behind it, such as quests, inspects, bags, or the AH. How can I fix this issue? TY.
I really want to like this Unit frame mod, they look nice, but there is no fucking documentation. I can't even see how you change the agnle of the party bears.
I want them to be vertical, not horizontal, no options what-so-ever to change them.
Kind of a newb question, but how can I save the whole layout and settings? I set everything exactly the way I wanted, and then couldn't figure out how to exit the "edit" mode (where it would show the party frames when not in a party, focus frame without a focus, etc.), so I logged then logged in.
Then everything was set back to default. :(
Help please. I love the whole look of this way more than x-perl.
I really want to use this addon but there is almost no documentation on settings or how to configure this add on. In addition, after tinkering with this addon for several hours, I can't get the range check to work.
This addon seems like it has alot more potential than x perl but x perl is too reliable for me to switch to this.
I'd use this, it looks great, but there's nowhere to change width of the bars it seems, which is incredibly annoying. So that's a no-go for now, maybe with some better customization I'll look this up later, because it really seems like a sweet addon.
just downloaded the new version.
ok, other than the new icon on the minimap... from what i can see it's the EXACT same config screen that was used with Rock config.
click the screw on minimap, at top left, select the dropdown box, click pitbull.
see all the options on the left side?
lets click player.
see that line that says Other? click it.
see the line below that labeled "size" click it....
that solves the "there is no way to change width of bars" problem.
Pitbull's config screen changed a while back. it's NOT hard to figure out the config screen.
*yes* it has changed... *no* it's not impossible to configure.
spend a minute looking/clicking at the config screen and 99% of the questions should be real simple to figure out. took me less than 5 minutes with the Rock config screen to get Pitbull back to how i like it.
it's not rocket science, it's pitbull. it's easy to configure. documentation? sure it could have been helpfull.. but anyone with a decent IQ can figure out the config screen on ANY mod here. even the extreme buttons, and even the old Flexbar. (wish that would have never been broken by blizzard :( )
now those do need instructions... but still not hard to get them running without.
Thanks for being derogatory and offensive, I hope you got your weekly dose of people bashing and can now move on to do constructive things instead.
The version I used had none of these options in the configuration - actually it had very few options at all which might have had something to do with the Rock addon, I've used both DAB and AGUF for a long time, I'm not a retard when it comes to configuring stuff. I've downloaded the new one, and the configuration seems to be having all of these functions now, so I'm going to try it out :)
I can find where to change width etc. but the options to change the bars in raid to be horizontal are not working...only lets me choose down not left right or anything else.
X-Perl ftw
i used to run x-perl.
x-perl's mem usage was 3 times as much as pitbull's.
i switched.
x-perl may be lighter now, but pitbull always has been light.
granted i do like the look of x-perl, but some of x-perl i do not like. like mem usage. (at least when i used it) and when i did switch, x-perl was having problems with Benecast, which i can't play any healing class without.
