PitBull Unit Frames 3.0
Please note that PitBull3 is no longer being actively developed. On top of lack of active development itself, it's based on the Rock framework which itself is no longer maintained either.
I strongly recommend that users migrate to PitBull4. You can not convert your config from PitBull3 and must reconfigure.
PitBull4 itself can be found at:
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/pitbull4.aspx
You can find guides for setting it up at:
http://www.wowace.com/addons/pitbull4/pages/guide/
And the FAQ here:
http://www.wowace.com/addons/pitbull4/pages/faq/
While PitBull4 is still in beta it is fully functional and has more features than PitBull3. It is actively developed on and bug fixes made regularly.
I do not plan on making any fixes to PitBull3 once Cataclysm releases. So you have plenty of time to make the migration.

PitBull is a Unit Frames addon that provides maximal customization and undergoes rigorous efficiency testing. It is created in a modular framework, which allows for mulitple authors to put their skills to work creating this great project.
It has support for many different kinds of units: player, target, pet, pet's target, target of target, target of target of target, focus, focus' target, party, party pets, party targets, party pet targets, raid, raid pets, raid targets, main tanks, main tank targets, main assists, main assist targets, etc.
Note: Almost all texts are configurable using the LibDogTag-3.0 format. See http://old.wowace.com/wiki/LibDogTag-3.0 for details or type '/dog' in-game.

Note: all modules can be enabled or disabled on-demand. Disabled modules don't take up any extra memory or CPU power.
I've been having the same problem as poopmonkey. Pitbull enabled: 3-4 fps. Pitbull disabled: fps just fine.
I /would/ recommend updating to the newest version posted on WoWAce, however I can't in good sense. For some reason it's own support for DogTags is broken and nearly everything pops a SYNTAX ERROR message instead. I might suggest you just do without it for a few days until this is resolved. Or do as I do and downgrade.
Try to disable some modules, or some other options like range checking, bar fading, ...... Try with all modules set to OFF first, then one by one enable them, to see what is causing problems
I'm getting the "offline" bug too. It's pretty annoying because I can't see my health...
Is there any way to avoid this?
It's been answered already
1: configuring pitbull is not for noobs
2: all you have to do is adjust the <name> text
It really seems a pain in the ass to work with profiles ...
I just lost my config (hours work) because I wanted to load the same profile into another character ....
The profile stuff is just way too needlessly complicated and not clear
Watch SCT or Bongos ... those mods have clear profile systems
I'm a bit frustrated yes, but otherwise this addon rocks
Since 2.4.2 I've been getting INSANELY low FPS when Pitbull is up (an average of 2-3). Besides this addon all others are fine and my FPS is fine with Pitbull disabled. I've never had this issue and usually with Pitbull up I have an average of 30-40. Hmmmmmmm, any ideas?
I love this addon, I spent hours setting it all up and it's pretty near perfect. Only thing I can't figure out, not sure if it's possible but the Bonzai plugin that changes bars to red when they get aggro, is there a way to make that only happen for your party members and now for your own Player unit frame? I can't find where you would enable/disable the Bonzai feature for each specific frame. And one more question regarding there, where would I change the color so that instead of red maybe it could be pink or yellow, is either of these possible?
Does anyone know how to change the color of combo points? I checked every heading under "Color" but the closest thing I found was energy. Thanks!
I got the same problems as some others here... It shows "offline" and a time to the right for my name even I'm not offline. And I didnt understand how to fix it....
And is it possible to move the buffs so they dont show to the top right corner as in the normal WoW ui, but like under my picture like with x-perl? And I cant see my party members buffs without targeting them.
hey guys,
I'm getting FPS-slow downs while using Pitbull3 (Pitbull 2 worked well).
I get them circa every 5 seconds..
My system cannot be the reason.. (dual core, x1950xtx, etc.)
Maybe its not compatible with some addons?
Do you guys have a list or something?
Thanks
p.s. my english might suck, i'm german
If I disable one of the bars (Player or Target for example), that part of the tree disappears so I can't enable it again. How do I get it back?
Go back into PitBull config. Choose the 'Extra Units' option, and then you'll see a list of units that you've disabled.
I am having trouble with being able to actually open the interface while on WoW.
I type /pitbull , and then cannot even push the enter key. Any ideas on how to get this open ?. It looks ok apart from that one thing.
I have set up the castbar and its text, but for a warrior, it is not needed to show the castbartext when using "heroic strike" and such
Would this be possible, to make it show just like the standard castbar ?
Everytime i log i send " HealComm99967157" to guild chat how do i remove this?
Ok...so Pitbull sometimes will say I'm offline, or a party member is offline. Is this a bug or what?
i really like this addon to, the only problem is, for some reason i can only use the standard blizzard texture for the bars, while i have no problem switching to forexamble Otravi on my cooldown bars, and Omen bars and so on, any ideas what might cause it?
Try the latest version
Im getting 'unknown tag outline' next to all my bars. what is that and how can i fix it?
