Getting Started:

You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.

Classic

PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in v4.3.x-vanilla releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x releases (the same releases retail use).

Classic Era caveats:

Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

Made the switch from using Grid to using Pitbull for my raid frames. One minor nusiance is empty slots in the raid are not reflected in pitbull. 8 columns, 5 rows; each column is its own group. In a raid where there are 3 people in group 1 and 5 in group 2, it shows 5 in the first column (the three in group 1 and the first 2 in group 2).

I have fooled around in the raid formation, and I am sure I am missing something on how to do this. Can anyone help?

I've been using PB4 for some time now and love it...LUAtext is ruling my world atm. :) I have a problem with tank frames that the Tank Frames FAQ doesn't answer.

ORA3 uses the Blizzard tank frames. My guild uses ORA2/CTRA and I'd like to move away from the, frankly pretty ugly, ORA2 MT frames. I tried configuring PB4 tank frames but, as expected, they don't seem to work with ORA2, only ORA3/Blizzard tank frames. Is there a way of getting PB4 configured to use ORA2 MT frames? If not, is anything in the works?

I'm having a little problem. I don't know if it's fixable because I haven't seen any screenshots showing otherwise, but I want to be able to see ALL buffs/debuffs under my target's portrait. Right now, all I see is 12 - evenly split between 6 buffs and 6 debuffs. Is there any way I can show everything that's on the target?

Been having a rather annoying problem lately...

I've got pitbull all set up as i want. I've already logged out beforehand, so the settings are saved.

However, whenever the game crashes, all pitbull settings are completely wiped out. The file in the 'savedvariables' folder goes from 190kb to 10kb. Why does this happen?

Would it be possible to tie in this add-on with Vuhdo / Healbot. Possibly asking these authors if they would be willing to make a cooperative function. If Pitbull is detected. Allowing them to hook. Giving Pitbull some very desired healing functions.

hello. i just wanted to know if there was any way i could remove my HOTs from visual heal? when i go to the visual heal tab, i can only choose to ahve it on or off.

Can you provide a screen shot?

It sounds like some of the texts like what would appear on a bar such as health amounts or power amounts, etc.

You can go to your layout and disable texts one by one to find out which text is showing that you do not want to show.

Hi guys, i have a question about pitbull unitframes. After I installed the addon, i have these weird numbers appearing on my screen, "54/91" for example, and when i join a party, 4 more sets of these numbers appear. I think each one is for one player in the group. How do you get rid of this?

There's an open ticket request for a mirror bar (that's what the bar that shows things like your underwater time is called) module. Just haven't gotten to it.

I'm not sure about how to do it in pitbull, but I use TipTac to customize position, size and have a lot of info on your tooltips. There is even a TipTac talent addon which will display the talents (51/20/0 format) in the tooltip as well. I love TipTac!

PB4 isn't positioning tooltips in the middle of the screen. It'll position tooltips shown when mousing over the unit frames near the unit frames. If you want to move them use one of the zillions of tooltip addons that are out there.

I mean, when you placed Text ontop of the User Frame, you could determine its general position, lots of options. But then you also had a <Horizontal> and <Vertical> slider option to further define where you want the text to show (Such as Name, Health, or Mana, or Class/Race/Level).

You can define the text placement with a drop down box in PB4, but I couldn't find any detailed sliders to further adjust.
