PitBull Unit Frames 4.0

Getting Started:

You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.

Classic

PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in v4.3.x-vanilla releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x releases (the same releases retail use).

Classic Era caveats:

Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

I know there is a request to have configurations be able to migrate and be shared. Its not something that has been finished yet though and I can not offer an ETA.

As far as the aura situation goes, the current plan is to offer an alternative aura module that will restore that functionality. (sadly at cost of other features) which will allow users to choose which they would prefer to use. Again... building new things takes more time than fixing bugs so... no ETA on that either.

Since the right-click to /cancelaura has been removed, maybe you can detect the right-click and display some chatter saying so. An example:

PitBull4: Right-click on a (de)buff is protected since 4.0.1, instead do:
/cancelaura <name of the spell they right-clicked>

Also, at first I was quite overwhelmed by the configuration. I've used a lot (all?) of unit frames replacements and so I'm .. "used" to complexity. But after some time I have grown to understand how things work and programatically why they were set up that way. Very impressive and thorough UI! I'm still working out all the cool things I can do.

Would you consider packaging alternate configurations from users? It wouldn't add too much bloat, and it would certainly help new users and inspire customization.

@ZoltanZ, /pb, Modules, Hide Blizzard, Uncheck Raid. There is an issue right now where the Manager won't show some of the raid officer features if you joined the raid before you unchecked Raid. If you reload the ui after unchecking it, everything should work normally. It's on my todo list to figure out, not sure if that is what the problem you are having or not.

Can anyone tell me how to enable targets for party members? I am very happy with all the functionality of the add-on but for this one issue. I would like to be able to see what my party members are targeting. I was able to do this previously in x-perl but can't find it in pitbull.

You will need to make a new group and set it to "party targets" Directions on how to make new groups are in the guides above

If you are getting that error then you need to update pitbull.

However, rightclicking buffs to disable them became a protected function in 4.0 and will not be working until an entirely new aura module is written. You will need to use /cancelaura SPELL or the Default Blizzard frames

Just to be clear.... you are getting this error when trying to click off the Blizzard frames (upper right)?

When im trying to disable a buff ,im getting this msg: "PitBull4 has been blocked from an action only available to the Blizzard UI. You can disable this addon and reload the UI."
A /rl might help this , but its very annoying.

Ok the bug with the flashing frames are definitely when I put it on the background layer level!

Please check and see! As soon as I changed the layer the mana bar started to blinking and reaching over (out) of the frame itself!

Hahh got it, reproducable as day and night! /proud :D

Maybe I'm just stupid or something but I can't get the Blizzards Raid UI to work while I have Pitbull 4 on, any suggestions what I might do to work these two together?

Check this setting for me please:
Modules > Hide Blizzard Frames > Party

I am not certain what is happening for you, since I am not seeing this error myself. I know that one other person is reporting some issues with frames not appearing, so we are definitely looking into it.

This was working fine for me yesterday but today the party isn't popping up when I'm in a dungeon (or even when I configure party mode). I verified that group was enabled. Not sure what else I can check...

hi man...
first of all great addon, for me the best to show everything!!!
just two things:
1) i'm using a modified version (taken from a ticket on wowace) that hides also the boss frames (in bosses like gunship and princes council)...that's just few code lines, cant you add them? in this way it would be perfect!!!
2) i'm missing too mutch the "mouse over" frame...is there the possibility to reintroduce it or some api changed?
