PitBull Unit Frames 4.0
PitBull Unit Frames 4.0
Woof. Arf. Yip.
Getting Started:
You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.
Classic
PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in
v4.3.x-vanilla
releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x
releases
(the same releases retail use).
Classic Era caveats:
- Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
- Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

Now... knowing that if you still want to turn the Blizzard ones off, go to /pb>Modules> Hide Blizzard Frames and make sure Buffs/Debuffs is checked.
Is it wise to check Show When In... 5 man raid for my 10 man raid group to make sure something shows up when 1st invites go out? (if I ever get any raid frame to appear)
Xperl+Grid convert here. I spent a good amount of time setting up raid frames for 10 man, 25 man, and 40 man raids using new layouts for each one as I wanted specific sizes and features to show for each. Your wowace guide and faq helped immensely.
However, I cannot get raid frames to show up for any raid size. I filtered each layout for the corresponding raid size. Made sure hiding blizzard frames was checked. Also turned off all mods except for Pitbull. Still no raid frames showing. This was testing using only 1 other person to join party and convert to raid.
Am I missing something so obvious? Thanks in advance.
I'm assuming you made a raid group(or 3 one for each size) since you mentioned the guides.
For your test are both of you in the same party (party 1)? if so move one person into another party group(party 2 for example). That should make your raid frames show up. (If you are both in the same party it considers it to be a "Raid 5" size.)
Please let me know if that doesn't work.
Can you try this and see if it changes:
Change the Filter Type Box to "Raid Group"
And check Group1 and Group 2
(on your 10 man config)
<5 people = 5 man raid filter
>5 people up to 10 people = 10 man filter
>10 people up to 15 people = 15 man filter
>15 people up to 20 people = 20 man filter
>20 people up to 25 people = 25 man filter
>25 people up to 40 people = 40 man filter

This is with both 10 and 5 man raid options checked. (Frames do appear)

This is the Group Tab shot you requested (assumed you wanted General subtab selected)

Many thanks.
Because I just entered a random BG and got Warsong Gulch. Lo and behold, 10 man frames appeared.
Perhaps I'm used to Grid showing the correct layout as the leader changes raid options from 10 to 25, etc.. Going to test raid instances later to see if the problem is solved.
IIRC, default is Show All. (not in-game atm to verify). I used Raid Group and randomly checked and unchecked all the groups to see if that would jar it to show. Didn't work.
Only thing that works is to check both 5 man raid and 10 man raid. I am obsessive compulsive about seeing initial raid invites go out and have to see who is in the raid. Gives me a weird feeling when invited to a raid and no raid frames pop-up.
But like you said, once more than 5 people are in the raid, it will show all 10 frames. Grateful for your patience.
In 3rd it is possible to adjust each module at will, and here for all.
In "Player" I use everything, also as well as in "Target", and for example in "Target Targe" t only a name of the player. And to me there it is unnecessary "Health, Mana, Buff and other.....".
To have to play with all and to compress, not interesting.
That will help us nail down where the issue is coming from. :)
However, I took note of the framestack code, hopefully it might help.
The "stuck" area has the following Framestack quote :
Frame Stack (662.19, 432.64)
MEDIUM
<2> Pitbull4_BetterStatusBar_39
<1> Pitbull 4_Frames_targettarget
<1> SpellActivationOverlayFrame
<0> UIParent
WORLD
<0> WorldFrame
After moving the cursor around, the Framestack code of the area that allows me to move the same aforementioned frame is :
Frame Stack (711.68, 394.24)
MEDIUM
<18> Pitbull4_Frame_136
<2> Pitbull4_BetterStatusBar_37
<1> Pitbull4_Frames_targettarget
<1> SpellActivationOverlayFrame
<0> UIParent
WORLD
<0> WorldFrame
Apparently the "stuck" area did not only block me from moving Pitbull frame, but also preventing me from doing anything in the game within that area, such as panning my camera, turning my camera, interacting with NPC, etc.
You can not upload images to Curse, just link from an image hosting site. :)
The option for "Absolute and Percent" does just that.
