PitBull Unit Frames 4.0
PitBull Unit Frames 4.0
Woof. Arf. Yip.
Getting Started:
You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.
Classic
PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in
v4.3.x-vanilla
releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x
releases
(the same releases retail use).
Classic Era caveats:
- Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
- Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

@BlitzNetcafe, Posting everywhere doesn't really help. It just creates more things for me to read through instead of actually getting work on the addon done. On top of that after you voted for a ticket you commented on it with a "bump" comment. Bumping tickets is pointless. I see your votes. You don't need to post on them to get my attention.
That said, I'd made a change on the 16th that I thought I pushed out to all of you that stopped us from tainting the raid manager. But I forgot to cherry-pick it over to the public branch and so you guys never got it. So everything will be fixed in the next release.
So public plea to everyone, please don't "bump" your posts here or on Curse or on tickets. It really isn't helpful.
@Kuoptek, You're running a nolib version, sounds like you're then trying to add the libraries in the lib folders under the installed addon. Frankly, if you don't understand how to manage a noblib (disembeded) install, you shouldn't be running one. Reinstall your addons with embedded libs and you problems will go away.
/pitbull not working It seems this is due to two files in the lib folder, and even when I replace them the game deletes them at some point, whether logging in or out... they just vanish.
This happens with Grid as well for the same files in the lib dualspec folder.
I'll try more extensively tomorrow see if I can find a work around or atleast give you some more infos on the problem.
I don't have to replace the 2 .lua everytime anymore it seems, however when logging in from character screen all frames are by default in the middle. There is no layout in the Layout Editor other than normal one (no Focus, Player, Target etc).
When using /reload ui everything will be back in place as should be.
I now tried to make a named profile (was using default before)and still no change.
Every occurence here is happening with no addon enabled except Pitbull 4, freshly reinstalled after cleaning both WTF and Interface folder.
Finally if I tried to delete again both .lua and move the unitframes away from the middle then relog, they were back in the middle again (so it keeps resetting apparently).
Hoping this can help you.
To get your own settings to show you have to swap both .lua files back in on the character selection screen everytime you log.
I've tried everything, different WOW reinstalls, tried downloading compilations with a relfux profile, still reflux switches me to needed profile but layout is default.
Sorry for my bad english.
So ive had to switch scheme manually and viola!
@Trillianne
TY for the response, it's more important to have it load on demand for less resources so I'll leave it alone. Regards
@wast3gat3
The double Visual Heal is because that Chinese players do not yet have 4.0. By including both VH modules they will not have errors. Only the one that is used by the players version of the game will load.
AS far as recompiling... I know the reason its split that way has to do with loading or not loading modules on demand.... but this is more Shefki's area of expertise.... when he's feeling a bit better I'm sure he'll check in and post. :)
EDIT: I asked the sickee who is hogging my Invidia Snuggie from the con(aka Shefki)... and he said if you recompile the issue you would have is that it would affect Loading on Demand that the modules use. What this would mean for your end users is that even things they do not use would load. For example, if you don't use DogTags and its compiled all in one directory... its still going to load DogTags. Or if your particular layout doesn't use Portraits... its still going to load the portraits module. etc, etc.
I'm working on updating taeoui mod pack and was wondering two things. 1) Why is there two visualheal modules in pitbull and what are the differences between them? 2) Can I recompile Pitbull so that all the modules are under the Pitbull directory, so that I can make the Interface directory cleaner?
Thanks in advance
@BlitzNetcafe: I replied to your post on curse. Can you please confirm that using those steps is still causing the error and what version of PB4 you are using when you get this? (version numbers are in the upper right of the PB window.
@Monk1nr: No worries, it happens. :)
