PitBull Unit Frames 4.0
PitBull Unit Frames 4.0
Woof. Arf. Yip.
Getting Started:
You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.
Classic
PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in
v4.3.x-vanilla
releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x
releases
(the same releases retail use).
Classic Era caveats:
- Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
- Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

well i just updated it and now it's even worse... i can't seem to move the text anywhere now, in fact all the text is reset, health in the middle, etc... not like i had it in the screenshot :/ all my work seems to be gone ugh...
I'll post the wtf file i have no idea why the new version broke it all.
Kupotek, first thing I'm gonna ask is PB4 up to date?
If it's up to date then post a ticket and ATTACH your WTF file to the ticket.
Hi Shefki! What do you think is causing this issue?
You can see along the PLAYER unit frame a border going around the health and power panels which don't show up on the target unitframe over on the right
I noted when I change the default texture to anything it goes away biut always comes back, even when I set the texture to none, so now I'm turning to you wonderful people for help.
valthonis2, you probably got switched to LuaTexts. Since the default was changed form DogTagTexts to LuaTexts. Try seeing if LuaTexts is enabled and DogTags is not under Modules.. If so you can probably get back what you had before. Alternatively, you can post on the forum thread above and probably get help modifying the LuaText to do what you want.
I am not fluent in Dog Tags, but it was simple enough before this recent update. Now I cannot remove the race tag from class. I just want the lvl and the class.
Any help?
Thanks.
Serene, Uncheck the enable box in texts for the PVPTimer text. You'll need to do it on each layout.
Thanks for a great addon, but since i formatted and reinstalled pitbull, i get that red timer attached to every unitframe (player, target ,party etc). What is it and how to turn it off? :o Thanks <3
Pitbull is great. Thanks for the addon!
I have just seen what juyanith had said and I have the same problem. I think if we have a option to choose to seperate these things it will be better. Maybe it is difficult, but I think it will be great.
Besides,I think it maybe better if we can choose the direction of growth of the castbar, sometime I want to make the cast icon bigger, the bar smaller, and the direction of the bar may become more important.Below is what I want to realize. http://img.ngacn.cc/attachments/mon_200905/05/200_49ffa53fbaf90.jpg
:)
Aight then, won't bang my head against it then anymore. Nice addon in all other aspects, don't know how I'd do without it =)
Waluin, currently can't do that. There's a ticket open for it. I'll be adding something similar but not precisely the same. The layout engine for auras is drastically different in PB4. PB4 has the ability to have multiply different sized auras. It's difficult to provide that functionality with the old layout design.
Hey guys! I've hit a snag when trying to set up the targets auras. Currently I can only get them to place in two seperate stacks, unlike in Pitbull3 where they worked as one big stack. This means that when I have a target with no buffs and a full stack of debuffs I still have an empty space of about 35 pixels where my buff icons are supposed to be. Am I missing something obvious or isn't this option available anymore?
Awesome, that's just what I needed. One other question: Is a mouse-over unit frame planned to be included? I cannot find it anywhere.
chocoz, you can use DogTags to do that. Let's say you want the class to have less priority, you can do either: [Class:Truncate(4)] Warlock becomes Warl, Mage becomes Mage, and Death Knight becomes Deat. [Class:ShortClass] Warlock becomes Wl, Mage becomes Ma, and Death Knight becomes DK.
There are other fun things you can do with DogTags, like... [if FractionalMP:Length>9 then Class:shortclass else Class] So if the units mana is less than 9 characters long (1000/1000), then the class tag would be "Mage." If their mana is more than 9 characters long (25000/25000), it will display "Ma."
I'm having a slight issue with text. For example when I have the class on the left side of the power bar and the power on the right side, the two texts overlap with each other and become unreadable in the middle. Is there a way to give one text priority over the other so that the lower priority one gets shortened with ellipses?
blissid95, you could set all the colors to be red or green in the Colors, Aura settings. But it's not really logical atm. I'm going to change how the border colors get configured. It needs work.
I've been trying to figure this out for a while now. Is there currently a way to have aura filter buff borders to always show as green, and debuff borders to always show as red?
I have played around a bit with the coloring but couldn't get it to work the way i wanted. Currently i have all aura borders set to red, and just don't have buff borders enabled.
