Getting Started:
You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.
Classic
PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in
v4.3.x-vanilla releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x releases
(the same releases retail use).
Classic Era caveats:
- Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
- Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

I tried for an hour to get git to work but made zero progress... it would be just faster if you overwrite your local rep *.lua files with the ones i ziped and simply check them with a diff tool against the rep, the files and changes are minimal anyways.

Posted Jul 27, 2012@dafzor If you make your own branch I can just pull the changes in easier. I'm going to want to read all of them to understand what you changed. You ought to be able to Clone the main repo from the Repositories tab and make it fairly easy.

http://madalien.com/pub/wow/pitbull_mops_changes.7z should give you a head start on just getting it mostly running and showing the frames (unknown if there's any more errors). I haven't uploaded it to git due to not being very familiar with it and not knowing if you'd like that or not

Posted Jul 26, 2012Unfortunately not. I'm going to get things working on MoP and then try to drive forward on that stuff. With the September release date I probably only have a month before 5.0 is active on live realms (remember they release the client long before the expansion is released). So I need the prioritize my time towards that. Once that's done then I can look at fixing the other issues. There is the possibility that it may be easier to fix that in 5.0 since the changes to the secure frames is what broke it and made it rather difficult to easily fix. I'll know more once I can look at the client.

While I'm not playing nearly as much as I have been I do play the game and I still use PitBull4 so I obviously want it updated.

27.3KB is about right, it's only the text files I changed and those compress quite well, I've gone as far as downloading the archive from my android phone and extracting it there, it extracted fine with all files present. Whatever problem you're having it's specific to your system has I've had 18 other downloads and nobody else said it was broken.

Posted Jul 11, 2012Made a quick and dirty mops update, I haven't updated the Aura filters so you'll get a load of unknown spell id spam when you log, otherwise it should be kinda working (only tested on my main char)... you can get it at http://madalien.com/pub/wow/pitbull_mops_changes.7z you'll just need to overwrite the beta30 files (if on OSX be sure to replace files only and not the folders).
Note that this is not an official update or any indication that this addon will be updated for mops, just something to help wile the official update doesn't come or you change to a new addon...
