PitBull Unit Frames 4.0
PitBull Unit Frames 4.0
Woof. Arf. Yip.
Getting Started:
You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.
Classic
PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in
v4.3.x-vanilla
releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x
releases
(the same releases retail use).
Classic Era caveats:
- Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
- Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

Any tipp how I can enable debuff/buff duration text on enemy debuffs/buffs? Currently I'm just seeing a optical fader on debuffs, text is only visible on my own buffs. Tried already ClassicAuraDurations but it's somehow not working with Pitbull.
The library behind ClassicAuraDurations is what PitBull uses to provide the duration. If you don't see the event for when the aura is applied (limited combat log range), you won't see the duration.
That being said, make sure you actually have the remaining texts enabled on the layout under Aura->Texts

Thankyou so much, it is working as I want now.
I didn't find a place to gave a suggestion, so I will post it here. I Mod the aura modul to highlight my debuffs on an enemy. I think it could be a think for others. So maybe you will add it. I insert the foloring in the Modules\Aura\Update.lua
Hi there, in classic when playing a hunter the range fader is showing as melee range instead of ranged, any chance this could be fixed please?
I'm getting this error everytime I reload my ui or log in.

Using Bagnon? There is an issue open for it on his GitHub page, so maybe he'll fix it. Otherwise Inventorian is a good alternative.
Edit: Pushed new a new release for retail and classic that should fix it

Thanks for the follow up, I will check it out in a moment. And yes, I figured it was bagnon after disable every other addon to see where the error came from, you were spot on. I'm having also another issue with versions past classic 4 1.20, some unit frames (party members and target) have a weird empty space in the frame. I have to play with the spacing to fill it up, but it still looks messed up. When I use the older version mentioned above, all is fine.
Hi guys,
Are there any plans to create a filter for 30-man raiding?
I'm sure i'm not alone being in the situation where being in a raid team which increases from 25-man to 26-man forces a change to the 40-man layout. This shrinks my raid frames considerably while leaving space where they could be resized, which I would do if I know I will never join a 40-man environment.
I believe we need a 30-man filter so that 26-30 man team activities are more appropriately catered for.

Is there a way to not only show a spark when the 5 sec rule kicks in but for every energy/mana tick?
I added an energy tick timer, but doing the same for mana would be a bit more involved. Maybe eventually, but no current plans.
In reply to nebula169:
I just found a fantastic Weak Aura called "nan Mana" by nan (https://wago.io/cZnjUAjRT) a quick look at it might help you to solve this problem. :)
Btw. i love the energy tick timer you added for my feral druid.
Thanks for sharing such an amazing Addon! :)
I love this addon and have been using it since TBC. Currently just have two pet peeves with it:
1. I have two boss frames. One that shows only boss cast bars. Another that shows boss health. The cast bars always show up but the frames showing boss health don't, and I need to go into the options and change their configuration to get them to show up.
2. I want to filter out debuffs on raid frames that have been cast by players, so that I only see debuffs related to the encounter we're in. So I don't want to see things like exhaustion, weakened soul, stagger, etc. But I do want to see (for example) Drained Soul, sanction dots, and other debuffs that the encounter/boss places on players.
I tried the following filter: Display When: Debuff -> filter type: cast by a player -> No. That didn't do the trick. Any idea how I can accomplish this?
This is a long standing issue that I've put a lot of time into solving over the years, but I've never been able to reproduce it reliably so it's pretty awkward to troubleshoot. If you want to DM me your savedvars file, I can take another look.
"Cast by a player" isn't useful in your case because a lot of encounter debuffs get attributed to the player when they're applied. You can try the "Blizzard debuffs, group" filter, which uses an API to handle filtering player spells (which is how the compact raid frames decide what to show)
Now there are no frames at all im so glad i updated this. nothing works
Twitch client fucks up, nothing I can do about it. Manually install the correct version from the versions tab or from the website.
Just updated my Pitbull for BfA and it broke completely. I just see the default UI, Frames etc. It's as if it was completely turned off.
Edit: Turns out the client does not distinguish between game versions and downloads the classic version for BfA. I just manually reverted to the previous version and it seems to be working.
I have a problem with my profiles.
I wanted to change the names and the best way to do (I thought) that was to create new profiles and copy from the existing profiles. But when I load one of those new profiles they are all just default profiles.
Hi, The classic version was updated to work with ClassicAuraDurations. It works fine for friendly buffs/debuffs but not for enemy buffs how can I get this working?
Regards,
Zavv
