Talented adds spec templates to the Talent UI.

Talented 3

Talented is getting a large update for wow 4. It will no longer replace the default UI but add a new Tab to it, with most of the previous functionality present.

There is an alpha release available on wowace. It's still missing some major parts, but it should give you an idea of the new interface.

Talented_Loader is no longer needed (and in fact will create problems if left installed, so remove it at once).

Update feature List

Create and view templates for all classes and all pet types.
Set a specific template as a target, and see it when you're spending your next talent point on level up.
Apply complete templates with a single click, after a talent wipe.
Hunters can view the spec of their pet and apply templates to them.
Share your current build with other, or any template you've made.
Import templates directly from the Blizzard Talent calculator, wowhead or wowdb.
Export templates as URL to wowhead, wowdb or the Blizzard Talent calculator.
Allow pet templates to be imported from and export to wowhead pet calculator.
Inspection of other characters will also inspect their alternate spec, if they have one.
A macro command /talented apply <template> allows to automatically apply a template based on its name.

Tested this on the first build on the 3.3 PTR. Was able use one of my templates from live to apply an Arcane spec to my premade mage. No errors so far :)

Thanks for testing.

Based on the current information about 3.3.0, it doesn't look like any change to Talented will be required.

Since the last update, whenever I change specs (between primary to secondary or secondary to primary), a rep bar and stance bar appear (I _think_ they are from the default unmodded blizz UI). /reloadui does make them go away, but it's annoying and time consuming, especially as I'm often switching between bear and cat spec frequently (i.e., for trash vs. for boss). Anyone else seen this?

How is this issue related to Talented ? Does it only occur when Talented is loaded ?

A good point/question. I assumed that it was related to Talented because I use Talented to switch specs.

I disabled Talented and switched specs and didn't have any problem.

I re-enabled it and switched again and the xp bar and stance windows appeared.

Please, try with only Talented (and Talented_GlyphFrame) enabled. If it still occurs, open a Ticket concerning this issue. If possible, a screenshot would be great to see what's happening.

Works fine for me, but patch 3.2.2 introduced some changes in talent details, that I can't se right now, because it has been not updated yet :P

Talented does not need to be updated to pickup changes to talent descriptions. I'll check over the weekend if an update is needed, but AFAICT, it doesn't.

Not a functional issue from what I can tell but with the new patch (3.2.2), when I open my glyph window everything keeps blinking and it almost looks like it is blinking back and forth between current spec glyphs and alternate spec glyphs even when I don't think it seems like it does.

Had some errors with it for a while. Have talented window closed (after opening it at least once), inspect someone. Select their talents tab. Talented throws the following error, and the talents hotkey stops working for rest of session. If you turn off 'Hook Inspect' option, you get no error, but the talents hotkey still stops working.

Nice Adoon, but when I updated it to 3.2, it makes an Error because ma Game Version is 3.1.

Where can I download the addon for version 3.1.x?

MMO-champion's new format is designed to support multiple client versions, and as such, is not really useful for Talented which is strictly dependant on the client version it is running against.

Their calculator allows to import and export templates in formats that are compatible with Talented (wowhead, for instance). For now, I think it is sufficient. I may try to update Talented to allow importation of their new format, but probably not export, and obviously not every template will be importable.

Just had talented fsck up my pet's talents. I have 4 points to spend on a blank template. I tried to just spend them and it wouldn't work. Nothing would click. So I made a template, assigned 4 points, clicked Apply, and it complained that it couldn't assign the template because i didn't have enough points (i did). Then I tried to assign the template again and it stuck points in the first talents it could find on each roe, NOT the ones I'd requested.

Just wanted to say that I am aware of this issue, although I haven't been able to completely understand what happens here.

It seems to happen only the first time a pet is spawned, and Talented does not register its talents for some reason. If you can reproduce this issue, please do open a Ticket and provide as much information as possible about it so that I can try to fix it.

do you think that you could implement something for glyphs? so that you can go through major/minor glyphs for the current class selected and be to read info/choose from the list and put them in their place for future reference. so you don't need to go to a website or check AH what kind of glyphs I need/want. always annoyed me that you can't :)
