Past Versions
Cryolysis 2 is now the official release download.
Barring any unforeseen problems, Cryolysis 1 ("Revived", "Reborn", "New Beginning") will no longer be updated/supported. If there is a specific reason(s) you're using Version 1 and need a hot fix to keep it working, you can post here in comments (make sure you note that you are referring to Version 1) or send any member of the team a private message through Curse (list is in the top right corner), and we will try to implement fixes as time permits.
FAQ
- Configuration Menu
To open the Configuration Menu, right-click the Main-Sphere. If you have hidden the main sphere, you can get a list of of commands by typing "/cryo". - Custom Buttons
Custom buttons can now use either spells, items, or macros. Make sure when setting up the custom buttons that you select the correct type (ie: spell, macro, item) and that you press Enter after typing in the name. If you don't press enter, your changes will not be saved. - Spell Timers
Timers have not been implemented yet. As such, the spell timers option should be turned off in the configuration menu for now. These will be implemented sometime after patch 2.4. - Messages/Speeches
Currently, Short Messages have not been implemented. There are a number of different options to display random messages:- USER: Messages will display for you only. Mildly useless, but the functionality is there.
- WORLD: Messages will display for /raid, bar that /party, bar that /say.
- GROUP: Messages will display for /raid, bar that /party, bar that it will remain silent. Old Cryo1 Behavior.
- RAID: Messages will display for /raid, bar that it will remain silent.
- PARTY: Messages will display for /party, bar that it will remain silent.
- SAY: Messages will display in /say.
- Localizations
To help localise Cryo2 in your language, download Cryo2 from WoWAce, edit your locale file in the /locales/ and send it to us. Files should be encoded in utf-8.
Other Info
User input is very important, so please post here anything related to the mod's functionality with as much detail as possible. Please only post Cryolysis 2 errors, as the original Cryolysis will no longer be getting updated Thanks.
at that time i was sing cryo 2, if i can reproduce the results i will get a screenshot with memory monitor and any visual errors that occur
Saveing the button visibility not working for me. The positions are saved, but the hidden buttons always visible after reload (the flag is hidden, and after re-hide one of them all hides. But initially they are visible (maybe the initialize has some problems).
Sorry for being a pain, the addon is great, really. :)
I've discovered the cause of this bug, it should be fixed in the next release.

Is this the same one from WoWAce? If not, do you know of any differences? I use the Ace updater, and of course when I ran it , it over wrote this one.
The Ace updater will always have the most recent version. You should always update from there if at all possible.

Hello. First off WOOOT!! Thanks for taking on this task Paene!
Ok, well, on my level 6 blood elf mage I loaded the 2:r54077 and I cannot right click the large, middle sphere and get the settings menu to come up. Making water/food seems to work and so does the hearth on click however, I cannot click on the "spell" icon on the sphere to bring up my fire bolt spell. Also, there is an empty circle in the middle of my screen...one of the smaller sized ones, I have no graphic for it so not sure what it's for but it is blank and I cannot move it.
Would love to fool with it more if someone can tell me how to get the menu screens to come up. I know on the older versions you could right click the middle sphere...but this is not working for me on this level
6 mage.
Cryo 2 was not really designed for lower level mages in mind, paene may add the functionality in later, but usage anything below level 60 is pretty much boned atm
Paene did note however that he would like to know what bugs the lower-level mages have, so he has an idea of what will need to be addressed when time permits.
Cryolysis 2 does not work at all neither on my Human Mage than my BloodElf mage... May be because I am on the French WOW...
On both characters, the main sphere that appear looks like the Necrosys one, the evocaton button appears without anything happening when clicking on it and an empty circle too.
Don't hesitate to ask me if you need any help when doing the French localization...
Paene has noted that the current Beta release of Version 2 does not support localizations. It is an English only version at this time to expedite the testing and development of the core functionality of the mod.
PS. If you want to take a look at the localizations file for version 1.1.0 and point out any corrections I can make for next weeks release it would be welcomed. I believe Paene intends to use the Ace localization libs for Version 2, which means it will just be a matter of implementing them when the functionality is ready.
I'll have a look... I remember having to correct myself the teleports and portals spells for example... I'll see what has to be changed and tell you when I am finished for the Cyo1 French localization files....
When updating the Cryolysis: New Beginning, could you please see why the main sphere does not show up on my BloodElf Horde mage? I"m on a French localization and it works correctly on my Human mage (Alliance side)...
My guess would be something in the French localizations for your Horde character is misspelled or translated incorrectly. Do you get an error message when you load Cryolysis?
No I have no error when the cryo loads on my horde mage... the prob is on my main sphere that does not appear...
I have check all three localization files I have on my folder and everything's perfect... That's why I don't understand why the main sphere does not appear on the Horde side... Is it that the horde side is not using the same localization files?
Just a note: I will have an updated version of Cryolysis: New Beginning (v. 1.2.0) available when patch 2.3 goes live next Tues. I will continue to keep it updated until such time that Paene is satisfied with the Beta testing of Cryolysis 2 and is ready to make it the Release version.
2. Though the Food and Mana Gem and Evo buttons are now actually scaling in the updated Beta, they
aren't scaling enough, not sure if this is the proper scaling or if it is just the food button.
3. After typing in a Spell's string into any of the optional buttons the icon is not showing up, tried
reloading incase the beta needed updating, nope.
4. Also, after selecting an optional button for Hide, and then reloading the optional button defaults back
to showing and the selection is still on hide. Bout to hit the hay, but those are just the few that I see. Suggestions:
Though i don't know if you are already having them in the works. Set scaling for buttons to be tied in with the scaling of the sphere. I know some players like having the option to have bigger more prominent buttons, but trying to scale each...well yeah...I'm that lazy lol
Also is there a way, might have missed it, to move the buttons to fill in the missing gaps of hiding the optional buttons? Is there any plans on having the options tied in with Fubar? I didn't recieve any errors to report, so I spose that is indeed good news. I can't wait to see more, so far it is looking very cool and promising. Lastly, thanks again :) and if there is a better place to report the bugs i'll do it there.
1. Scaling of buttons is a known issue, right now only the main sphere scales properly.
2. See answer 1 :)
3. Make sure you hit enter after typing in the spell name, also check the spelling. If the spelling is incorrect, Cryo2 should display an error in the chat frame.
4. Are you talking about the profile resetting? If so, you actually have to reload the ui after resetting the profile. The profile stuff is provided by the Ace2 libraries, so I really have no control over how they work.
5. Moving buttons around the sphere is coming shortly.
6. Fubar support will be added in the future.
The comments section is a good place to note your bugs and suggestions. But, we also have "tickets" enabled. So you can open a ticket for specific bugs or suggestions as well. Thanks
