Scorchio! 2
Note: as of Jan 2021, Scorchio has been flagged as abandoned due to the original author not carrying over her account to the new Overwolf system. Overwolf refuses to undo this. It isn't possible to release new versions while it's flagged as abandoned - they never get packaged. The original author flagged the project as "All Rights Reserved", so I'm not sure whether Overwolf would allow me to create a new forked version, even if I wanted to. Ultimately, the best path for everyone is probably to move on from Scorchio and build what you need around something like WeakAuras or TellMeWhen. -ywfn666
Scorchio2 is an addon for Mages that tracks Living Bomb, Nether Tempest, Ignite, Slow, Flamestrike (Flame Patch and snare), and Polymorph on multiple mobs, and can give you warnings and notifications when the debuffs need reapplying, or have expired completely. Scorchio can also provide bars for personal buffs/procs/summons: Clearcasting, Heating Up, Hot Streak!, Brain Freeze, Fingers of Frost, Combustion, Icy Veins, Arcane Power, Rune of Power, and Mirror Image. Up to three anchors are available for use (targeted, non-targeted, and buffs), and the sort order for bars within each anchor is customizable.
Use /scorchio2, or Blizzard's Addons configuration window to configure Scorchio2.
Localization Help Needed!
Lots of work has gone into translation, but there's still some left to do. Localizations are easy to submit on the WowAce Localization Page, and help many users. Please help with this if you're able. And thanks to everyone who's helped so far!
This only seems to occur when the MBarr is proc'd from the first ABarr which puts you into combat. It's because, as for a lot of instants, there is no SPELL_CAST_START event, which Scorchio! 2 uses to know you're (about to be) in combat, and the game itself only flags you as in combat once the SPELL_CAST_SUCCESS event is fired, by which point the AURA_APPLIED event has already passed Scorchio! 2 by.
I get around this for debuffs on the mob by scanning the targeted mob each time you enter combat, cast a (recognised) spell or switch target. At the moment, I don't scan the player too, as I need to do more research into how much overhead that would add to lag.
It seems that all other MBarr's as proc'd from ABarrs are picked up fine though.
Also it announces on all sheeps not just my own.
And if you're really bored you could slap the raid-icon (if any) in the message also.
Scorchio is turning into a MUST have addon ;)
The next commit will only monitor your own sheep. Originally, the idea was that Scorchio! 2 would help mages keep up collaborative debuffs, and I felt it was important that if another mage threw a sheep, you should know so you could resheep if required (ie: the other mage dies/forgets). In practice though, that's more often not the case and either all mages are sheeping (so you don't need to know about everyone elses) or only you are (so you, um, don't need to know about everyone elses), etc.
Raid icons were in the original Scorchio! addon and I do mean to add them back into Scorchio! 2 some day!
Installing Scorchio to just keep track of your TtW-ability...feels kind of big.
I often tank on my DK and I'd rather use Magic Runes, wich also times my IT f.ex Either way, when I'm on my mage..having a timer on TtW is just distracting, when I glance at it fast I'd rather see the time on LB/Scorch if anything but...thats me :)
I like the TtW-tracking idea, it's good. But more from a raid leading perspective, if it isn't up we can "spank" someone to make sure its up. Or just for general awareness.
However, if I'm FB-spec f.ex I can't really do anything other than acknowledge its up or not and thats good enough.
Point is: Remove it as a timer. Just make it a solid bar always at the bottom telling us if it's up or not.
Realistically I'm not going to call out on vent to our DK "hey, 3 seconds left on Icy Touch mate...remember to refresh". But I might say "hey, get (insertTtWbuff) up again it fell off".
If it's Slow, yeah sure...add a timer but that goes without saying, since it's a mage-skill we actually can refresh :)
I am aware that at the moment it can be a little spammy in a raid situation and I am currently working on the the next version - v1.5 - which will tackle that...
It also tracks it on non-bosses and it's very spammy. It's a quite good idea though so if it could limit the torment bars to like 2 or something else to just make it less spammy that'd be awesome.
Thanks.
With the glyph, you should be putting up 5 scorches with one cast, which should each be producing a combatlog message which Scorchio! 2 picks up. Otherwise, I would have suggested that maybe it was an issue with low +hit and not all your scorches were landing, but that doesn't explain the inconsistency. If you can, run a raid with /combatlog on and send me the log via a PM so I can see if I can work out why all your scorch applications aren't registering with the addon. Thanks!
I have a combat log for you from a Naxx 10 raid I ran today. Before going I uninstalled the addon and then installed the latest build from wowace. It worked much better today, but if you search through the log and check the Gluth fight there was an instance or two where it came up with 4 stacks of improved scorch and not 5.
I had a lot less server lag today as opposed to last night and wonder if that didn't play a part.
There doesn't appear to be any way to transfer a file to you here or on wowace. Let me know how to get it to you.
