simpleMinimap

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

simpleMinimap is a module-centric addon for modifying and personalizing one of the center-pieces of any UI - the minimap. the core simpleMinimap mod has these features...

* left-click and drag the minimap anywhere
* hide and move the default minimap buttons
* zoom in and out with the mousewheel
* adjust the minimap's scale, outdoor alpha and strata
* bind a key to toggle the minimap and/or zoom it full-screen
* type '/smm' for a list of commands

simpleMinimap also comes with several modules. these modules can be disabled and/or the files can be deleted if you don't need or want access to the features. they are located in the simpleMinimap/modules folder...

* Autozoom - automatically zoom-out minimap after delay
* Compass - NSEW markings on the minimap
* Coords - small frame that shows map coordinates
* GUI - dropdown setup menus (default is right-click on minimap)
* Movers - allows movement of UI frames attached to the minimap
* Pings - popup frame that shows the minimap pinger's name
* Skins - allows for changing the minimap's skin (square, corner)

One feature I'd like to see is the ability to move the PVP objectives frame. There is a "capture" bar in the movers, but it doesn't seem to actually move anything that I've been able to find. It just annoys me to no end to have the tower objectives up in the middle of my screen. Right now I'm using move anything to move it, but that's ALL I'm using it for and it also prevents me from accessing my spellbook while in combat.

SimpleMinimap is a godsend, thank you soo much for keeping up with it.

I have not noticed whether the achievement tracker actually tracks or not, but the problem I have is that my map is on the bottom edge of the screen and the 'Quest Tracker' box will not stay where I put it. It always jumps back on top of the minimap when I unenable the movers. When I say on top of the minimap, I mean literally on top, the text is written under the map and I cannot see it because the map blocks it. So, if I drag the box to the top, disable the mover, it jumps right back. Hope that makes sense.

UPDATE...
I was able to get the quest track frame to stay in a location by enabling the movers and then checking 'lock minimap'. Maybe this is the way it is intended to work. However, now I am having an issue where everytime I log in, the map moves to its default location in the top right corner. I have to check 'lockdown' or uncheck, whichever is not the current state, and this moves it back to where I had it located upon the last logout.

I found this out as well, but mine seemed to stay put. Can't say for sure because I only figured it out today. I can understand why it is like this though.

I dunno if anyone else is having this issue, but my achievement tracker doesn't seem to track when I have this enabled. The only time I could see my achievement tracker, was when I was currently tracking daily quests. Otherwise my achievements won't show at all. I turn this mod off and they track fine. But now my UI looks gay :(

When I drag the map it won't move. I made sure it wasn't locked, my clicker is working, and all the other options are fine.

Great Mod, have some of the same issues as below, so i hope you'll be updating this soon. I have noticed that there appears to be a new tracking window for achievements. Is it possible to add this to the 'Movers' section so we can position achievement tracking anywhere on the screen in the same way we can for quest tracker, quest timer, pvp objectives, and durability man. Would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the great work :)

Hi, I like this mod a lot. Previously I was using bongos cornucopia to mod my map, but would like to use SMM. My one question is, can you move the clock that is located directly to the bottom of the map. I would like to move it on top, but am not sure how to do so. Since I put my map in the bottom right corner, having the clock down there just doesn't work. Anyway to do this?
