simpleMinimap

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

simpleMinimap is a module-centric addon for modifying and personalizing one of the center-pieces of any UI - the minimap. the core simpleMinimap mod has these features...

* left-click and drag the minimap anywhere
* hide and move the default minimap buttons
* zoom in and out with the mousewheel
* adjust the minimap's scale, outdoor alpha and strata
* bind a key to toggle the minimap and/or zoom it full-screen
* type '/smm' for a list of commands

simpleMinimap also comes with several modules. these modules can be disabled and/or the files can be deleted if you don't need or want access to the features. they are located in the simpleMinimap/modules folder...

* Autozoom - automatically zoom-out minimap after delay
* Compass - NSEW markings on the minimap
* Coords - small frame that shows map coordinates
* GUI - dropdown setup menus (default is right-click on minimap)
* Movers - allows movement of UI frames attached to the minimap
* Pings - popup frame that shows the minimap pinger's name
* Skins - allows for changing the minimap's skin (square, corner)

I am able to see the Calendar just fine, but I cannot track any achievements with this addon still. Is there a way to fix that?

I can't get the calendar function to show up at all. I clicked "show" but it doesn't show up :( I even toggled show/hide calender a few times. Should I just reinstall it? or delete some folder?

Is it possible to add a feature so that the size of the calendar icon can be shrunk? Right now it's HUGE!

Also, I have a problem where if I have the minimap in my top right corner, and try to move certain icons around it (eg. the calendar icon), it mistakes where the mouse is, and doesn't let me move it past a certain radian. I have to move the minimap to the center of my screen so that I have the 'full' range of motion on my mouse, and thus the minimap and then move it BACK to the corner when I'm done. Highly annoying.

I haven't looked since this updated in the options to see if you have added a code to where you could move the clock on minimap? or will there be plans to add that if not?

could you please add a show/hide button for the minimap clock:

line24:
timemanager = TimeManagerClockButton,

line580:

if TimeManagerClockButton then TimeManagerClockButton:Hide() end
end

The problem is that the clock button isn't loaded when this runs, so it needs a delay (I use Chronos, but don't know Ace2 well enough to do it here)

I am having a problem with this... it only started happening tonight. Something with this addon causes my character window, honor window, talent window, etc. to all open up in the same place (as if other windows are not open). Resetting my simpleMinimap profile fixes this, but eventually this same thing happens again. It's really annoying because if for instance I wanted to shift click spells from my spellbook into a macro...I can't because it's just one window on top of the other.

Deleting the saved variables and reinstalling fresh did not help...not sure how to COMPLETELY delete ALL saved variables but at least the ones in the saved variables folder, though this did not fix it.

i have the same problem like Sietelle
i disabled every addons except simpleMinimap and still got the same problem. i open macro window with /m , then i open the skillbook window by pressing p and the skillbook window is a also at the left middle of the screen overlaying the macro window..

i also noticed if i disable the quest/anchor windows i need to double click the option to reenable them again

I've noticed a bug. If this has been mentioned already, I apologize. I'm a Guild Master. With SMM enabled, when i kick/promote/demote someone it will not register with the active guild window. I need to close the window and reopen it. If I promote someone, I need to click on another name for the promote arrow to highlight again to promote them again. The rank name will not change on the note until I close the guild window and open it back up again. I need to also show/hide offline players to even get the guild list to show up upon opening the guild window for the first time when I log on. It just displays nothing. Thanks for the great addon, just giving you a current issue I'm having.

That is wrong, the tracking button is still missing in v30000-2 on german 3.0.2.

It works in the US version, but periodically it and the calendar button reset their positions. Mine even overlap. Have minimap locked and locked down to boot.
