This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.
Warning: This project is experimental. Its files will not synchronize across the CurseForge network.
This will not be updated
Nevcairiel and Antiarc will be taking Shadowed Unit Frames over. I believe they handle things better than me.
I love it. Set it up as I had SUF set up earlier. So happy you picked that up. WIll there be a chance to edit eclipse bar in someway? Like change colours/make it the lenght of mana/hp bar, unanchor it?
I just installed SUF and comming from Pitbull 3.0 I liked the config, but I need to point out some stuff:
-Can't color power by power color;
-Can't choose aura horizontal/vertical (by row or column) growth;
-Can't anchor the text to the UF only to a bar, so if a target gets combo points and I have text anchored to the health bar the text moves (at least by unlocking the UF this happens);
Coloring health also doesn't work on Focus, ToT and Pet at least;
Export needs a auto select feature, it's impossible to copy paste the code.
Overall good job! And hoping to see these small isues fixed.
hey Aviana, just updated to r8 all seems good so far. also the old setting copy works great
i will do some testing with my druid/pally/lock to see if the Holy Power, Soul Shards, Eclipse Bars are working. great work so far you are a life saver
thx you for the update. i need to know what you mean by "then open it and replace ShadowedUFDB with SimplisticUFDB." how do i open it! do you mean by notepad?
Potential issue with the pet happiness icon, I tamed a sexy pink Tallstrider and fed him some delicious berries, but after five berries and lots of mend pet he was still very unhappy!
(Pet Happiness has 3 ranges, unhappy 0-350, content 0-350 then happy 0-350. Feeding your pet increases happiness by 350 (I think, as I've always managed to maximise happiness in two feeds). I am terrible at explaining.)
I reloaded my UI and the happiness had changed to a big green smiley face, so perhaps there is something to look at there - didn't get any errors on my end unfortunately and the addon that used to show me accurate pet happiness (the actual number rather than just a very vague icon) is no longer working for me, so I can't tell if perhaps my pet was just getting happy incredibly slow and did so during my reload or whether it's an actual issue.
But thanks again for keeping this project going :)
Just a quick repost of past info presented by Aviana.
"If you want your old settings got to ....
\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\ACCOUNTNAME\SavedVariables and rename ShadowedUnitFrames.lua to SimplisticUnitFrames.lua then open it and replace ShadowedUFDB with SimplisticUFDB."
Oh, thank you very much for your instant reply! I am a bit ashamed, I have to admit. Sometimes I end up with my nose right up against the monitor when searching for settings which makes me miss the most obvious things (such as one or two problem solving help-texts)...
Anyway, I won't waste more of your time now - I'll go back to enjoying every little pixel out of SUF (as well as the rest of the game) - and I'll keep one eye open for my sweet pink soul shards ;)
The blizzard auras are hidden by default. You can re-enable them under "hide Blizzard" but as stated in the help text you have to relog or reload your UI.
Color options for the new bars are not currently in. Maybe in the future but as you said "low priority".
This is absolutely wonderful! I feared that I would have to resort to another UF-addon after the patch, even if only for a short time. But here you are to my rescue! I have been through most of the UF-addons out there and found no-one as stylish-looking, minimalistic and as easy to configure as this one (Shadowed UF)!
After having spent quite some time to get everything perfect, I'm left with two questions;
1. Is there a way to keep Blizzard's auras up in the right corner (as in default) when using SUF? I've been through all the settings (or most of them at least), but found nothing that will bring them back. I tried to relog and disabled SUF after which the auras came back - thus, something in SUF must be hiding them.
2. I would love the option to change the color of the warlock's new soul shard indicator. As of now it defaults to purple and I have tried changing every purple color in the color settings but the shards stay unaffected. I would have preferred the soul shard's pinkish color. (Hardly a high priority deal though!)
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart - you have really saved my patch transition with this project! Best of luck to your future work!
@Dreamflow: Those options are working as intended. Try STRG+A for the code.
@fikasz: Colorchanging is a low priority. You can shorten it by reducing the priority slider. Unanchoring is a 100% no because of how its coded.

Aviana, do you have plans to update Shadowed Unit Frames AuraTracker? This was the sole reason I switched to Shadowed UF so long ago.
ok so i reset my setting back and the bar seems to be ok must have just been the old Suf setting getting in the way ><
ok so jst got on the druid, and got this when i put on the bar

@catbeef: Pitbull 4 has the same problem with the pet happiness indicator. Blizzard most likely has changed something there as well.
Potential issue with the pet happiness icon, I tamed a sexy pink Tallstrider and fed him some delicious berries, but after five berries and lots of mend pet he was still very unhappy!

Thanks for the fast revision on r7/r8 with the /suf configuration. Working again, keep up the great job.

Best Regards!
Great job Aviana.
I'm still missing the party frame, currently using r8.
Im gonna try again in hope for a respond. :)
Is there any way to copy profiles from Shadowed Unitframes into Simplistic Unit Frames? If so, how?
Thanks for making Shadowed live on.
I have a problem with Russian client - all SUF options are in German language. Is it intended (cause of Alpha state) or bug?
Awesome job. I was really sweatin' the demise of this addon.
Quick question though....has something been done that I am missing in regards to Pallies and "Holy Power".

Thanks for the prompt reply. We all appreciate your efforts to revive SUF
