Sweetsour's Shaman Auras
Sweetsour's Shaman Auras
Introduction
Like myself, I know there's a lot of people that enjoy the functionality that Weak Auras has to offer; in fact, some of you may remember the Shaman Weak Auras package I offered. Though, the one downside with Weak Auras when dealing with larger packages is multiple import strings and a somewhat sloppy installation process. In light of this, I've decided to make the whole process much easier for the end-user and offer a solution that has is far easier than having to setup a large Weak Auras package.
The addon has evolved from Weak Auras, so it has that familiar feel that you're used to. Thanks to thousands of users testing the addon, it has become something far greater than I originally expected!
How to Use
This addon has been designed to provide a high-level of customization, in terms of aura layout. It's a very simple process and can be achieved by doing the following.
- /ssa - Access "Home" window in Interface Options
- /ssa ele - Access Elemental customization options
- /ssa enh - Access Enhancement customization options
- /ssa res - Access Restoration customization options
Moving Frames
One of the most requested features was the implementation of being able to move all of the frames. It's very simple to do!
- Type "/ssa <spec>".
- Click the "Layout" tab.
- Click the "Move <spec> auras" button to open the aura movement utility.
- A grid will appear and the auras will become moveable.
There is something fishy about the code for SLT in SA_Frames_Restoration.lua:790 Replaced the code with the previous and it works fine.
Interesting, I'll take a look at that line of code, thanks!
Okay, weird problem spawned from my original one. It seems like the Spirit Link aura persists even after speccing out of it or something. Spirit link totem aura is no longer going on cooldown in PVE situations. Not sure if it can be replicated. Will reinstall add on and let you know if it persists.
Developer Update - Feb 26, 2017
Hello again!
So I've startup coding again to prepare a new and even more exciting update than the last! Though, with the scale of this update, it will take a lot of time. I'm estimating roughly 2 weeks. This update will once again re-code a large portion of the addon, so if any bugs are found during this time, I will try to address them in a timely manner- based on their severity.
What to expect from this update:
I've got most of the code planned out in my head, so it's just a matter of writing it out and implementing it into the addon; which will be an immense challenge. I'm definitely going to be taking my time with it.
I'll keep you all up-to-date on how it's progressing :)
I love your shaman auras!
I have one small suggestion/request though; could you please add a tidal wave and queens ascendant tracker to the resto aura?
Thanks!
Warmest regards,
Effigy-Ravencrest US
Hello and I'm glad you're enjoying the addon! :)
A tracker for Tidal Waves already exists in the form of two blue bars between the two horizontal rows of auras (by default). As for "queens ascendant", it's been a while since I've last used Resto, what ability is this; the artifact ability?
cool! I was always wondering what those 2 blue bars were for, thanks for clearing that up for me. It would be really nice to have a timer associated with it so tidal waves can be tracked.
Yes Queens Ascendant is an artifact trait that procs. Would mainly be useful to track the timer.

I'm sorry if I am asking for a lot bro, I have been using your auras since before your official add-on. Back when they were on weakauras. You put in the work man, its highly appreciated! Game changing even.
Thanks :)
That's awesome, always glad to hear about people who's been along for the ride since the beginning. It's people like you that has helped the addon get to where it is today :)
I could definitely add a timer in the same fashion as the faded timer on Icefury and Earthen Shield Totem timer bars.
I'll have to check out that proc to understand how it works in order to decide on how I'll implement it (I'm currently at work lol).
all hail Sweetsour the great! :)
thanks again man, your the best!
<3
Hey Sweetsour, I was playing ele last night for one of the first times on mythic Krosus, and I was wondering if the aura is tracking power of the maelstrom procs as well? I might not be seeing it, but if it does not track that could I trouble you to add it? It is an artifact trait proc just like queens ascendant. I am one of those guys that needs the big "look here idiot" signs lol!
I'm sorry brother, I dont mean to be that guy asking for all sorts of complicated things. Your aura is such tight work though man, and I rely on it for everything shaman I do.
thanks bro! :)
That's definitely on the list of things I'm planning to add :)
-Power of the Maelstrom (Proc)
-Elemental Focus (Proc)
-Toggle cooldown numbers/animation
-Move Mana bar (resto)
I'm just taking a bit of a breather right now, though. The recent update took about a week and took quite a bit out of me :P
probably not the proper place for this but I love this ui problem is I'm new to custom ui's and I cant seem to hide the standard default ui w/o hiding this custom ui, can I get some help?
Could you provide a screenshot of the issue(s) you're experiencing?
I cannot get the /ssa opt to open. It opens up the skada interface instead.
Ah, I should update the invalid slash command print out. /ssa opt no longer exists. All the options from it have been migrated to each of the specs' settings on the left-hand navigation panel.
So for Elemental, for example, you'd like on the Elemental selection on the left navigation panel, then click the "Configuration" tab.
Hi, very cool feature the new mana bar, the only problem with it is that i can't manage to move it, also do you think you can make the mana to be displayed in percents?
Ah, geez, I totally forgot to add the mana bar to the move system lol. I could add percentage display as well, sure.
I might aim for the end of the week. I picked up a new case for my PC, but my primary SSD died on me, so I'm trying to bounce back from it :(
Is there a way to make the GCD sweep show on the auras?
I think there is. I realized that I forgot to re-add the ability to toggle cooldown numbers and sweeps, so I could add a GCD sweep toggle option.
