Migrating settings
If you have the settings from the old Threat Plates addon you can go in \World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\<account_name>\SavedVariables and make a copy of TidyPlates_ThreatPlates.lua with the name TidyPlates_Threat.lua. Then open the newly created file with a text editor and on the second row replace the name with TidyPlatesThreatDB.
I wish there was an easy answer to this. Unfortunately all I can think of is to check this in an addon and hide the nameplate for NPCs that don't fit the criteria.
Can you make it so 'Text Only Style' alpha settings is independent?
The settings I use under Alpha is for enemy targets. But when I have it that way I can't see 'Text Only Style' targets very good. Would be nice to could choose Alpha settings for Text Only Style targets.
I'm adding an alpha override option for text style. Will be in v1.26
Hello! I have 3 questions
Can I change the texture of the combo points to like the blizzard defaults? If not, will it be implemented in the future?
Possible to get headline view for friendly pets too? So can change font/scale etc. As you can see on the picture it's quite hard to see what it stands on pets. If not will this be implemented in the future? :)

And third can I disable both nameplate and headline view for friendly NPC's? it gets in the way when NPC's have quests or completed quests for me. Can't see the yellow "?" or "!" So I can just have normal blizzard style.
I don't think I'll update the combo point style anytime soon.
In your picture, the pet nameplate is not enabled. Check the game options under Names. Or use:
/run SetCVar("nameplateShowFriendlyPets",1)
/run SetCVar("nameplateShowFriendlyGuardians",1)
/run SetCVar("nameplateShowFriendlyTotems",1)
With the default settings you should be able to see the quest icon just fine. But you could also hide friendly NPC nameplates with
/run SetCVar("nameplateShowFriendlyNPCs",0)
Hey IceEagle.
Since 7.1, I can no longer see nameplates on friendly NPCs unless I target them directly :(
(left guy being targeted)

Is this something you can solve? It only shows me friendly players now, with all NPCs without nameplates.
There were some changes to nameplate options in 7.1. It seems that Shift+V enables nameplates only for your target. You can check and/or change the option with these chat commands:
/run print(GetCVar("nameplateShowFriendlyNPCs"))
/run SetCVar("nameplateShowFriendlyNPCs",1)
Thank you for this addon! I was wondering if someone could be so kind as to detail the differences between "Tidy Plates: Threat" here, and the other "Tidy Plates: Threat Plates" addon? I know this one was started as something of a fork to provide Legion compatibility, but given that both "Threat" and "Threat Plates" are up to date with Legion as of 7.1 at least, I was wondering if someone could give me a quick run-down on the differences between the two in terms of features, layouts, and/or defaults? Thank you.
Love your addon. Was wondering if it could be possible to adjust the size of specific auras? For example I have many cc spells listed in the "always show auras" textbox, to make those bigger? thank you again for a great addon
I only want to see the healthbar when i have the mob in target.
Any way to achieve that?
my name plates doesnt change when i switch from dps to tank..
there was an option to change the style manually. but i cant find it anymore
The role is selected automatically when you change talents. It's based on your active talent spec.
was using DK last night... nothing changed when i swap from unholy to blood.. its not 110 yet thou... is it a problem maybe ?
hey thanks for this addon i love all the stuff i can customize (arena widget, disabling or enabling nameplates for custom units like special totems and so on).
few problems/suggestions:
1) i can not turn off friendly player healthbar class coloring.
Nameplate Settings->Healthbar->Enable Friendly Class Colors is unchecked but it still class colors friendly players. could you fix this?
2) enemy nameplates do not show in sanctuaries (dalaran for example). can this be changed? is it maybe a problem on my end and some blizzard options?
3) would it be possible to add an option to scale the castbar separately, or rather increase its height?
4) custom scaling for specific totems in the totem nameplate options would be great. i guess i could just add each totem to the custom nameplates and scale them there? but that would kind of make the totem nameplate options redundant?
man, i came up with quite a lot of stuff :D
thanks a lot, even if u can not make everything i suggested happen.
agreed!
3) and maybe an option to change the indicator for non-interruptable spells (maybe a frame instead of those red stripes etc).
thanks for the last update that fixed point 1!
Hi IceEagle
Thanks for the great Addon. I like it much better than Tidy Plates: Threat Plates.
Esspacally the Quest Marker and that i can set up the distance to show the Nameplates.
unfortunately a thing does not work.
Tidy Plates Hub: Headline View (Text only).
If i Choose "Force HEadline on Neutral Units", nothing happens.
The bars on Neutral Units are still display.
On the Settings of Tidy Plates: Threat (V1.22) "Text Only Style".
I Activate the on Button.
With the other layouts of the house everything works as desired, even Tidy Plates: Threat Plates.
I implemented text only style before Headline View was available in Tidyplates, so it's completely independent. I'll have to take a look at those options.
Hi, at first I would like to tell you how great it is you take care about this tidy plates plugin...
Now to the main reason I am writing here. There is probably a bug where the mouseover hitbox is not scalling correctly along with the visible healthbar. For example 80% healthbar scale seems to be 1:1, the healthbar reacts to mouseover exactly on its corners, but anything higher than 80% causes troubles = the healthbar won't react if I move the mouse on its left or right side, it displays correctly, but the invisible box reacting on mouseover is smaller than the visible portion. I hope you get what I mean... GL and thanks again for great work.
I know the hitbox remains the same as set by the blizzard default nameplate. I wanted to get a look at this but didn't get the chance yet.
