The tabbing thing isn't in the newest versions. A while back, the author said that many of the old features were going to be added over time. Tabbing was one of my favorite things about this addon, so I hope it gets added soon :(

Yes, it is possible via
a) asp - like browser based msn clients
b) routing program - transfer data from text file to network and put data into a text file to be read by wow addon

Anyone who doesn't like option b look at how auctioneer works and how thottbot got most of it's data.

I'm having the same problem. As an enchanter, it's absolutely horrid when I've got a bunch of clients lined up for enchants; I use WIM to keep track of who needs help and with what, and it's extremely destructive to business when WIM crashes.

I commented on this problem a few weeks ago, and it's only been getting worse. I've had to reload my UI 3 times today because I would attempt to close a tab, get an error, and nothing I would send would go through. Most times, two windows for the same person would appear, separate from each other, and I wouldn't be able to close either of them. It always give the same error msg...

attempt to index field '?' (a nil value)

I have no idea how to fix it, but I can't be reloading my UI multiple times every time I get on. I love the add-on and find it nearly impossible to PM w/out it, but I'm at a loss as to what to do.

I'm not sure if it's a problem with IgnoreMore or WIM, but they don't seem to be compatible. Whispers from players who are ignored won't pop up a new window, but still show up in the conversation list.

From time to time I notice WIM will just loose all my saved settings and I have to manually replace the window spawn point, and readjust all my settings. Its a minor annoyance, but it happens atleast 1 per week. None of my other mods are effected at all, there are no error messages when it happens, it just drops all my settings. Any idea why that would be. I am the only person with access to my accnt or this PC so I know my saved variables arent being toyed with nor my addon folder for that matter.

I seem to be noticing a very big pain in the #^% problem. For some reason, when you have the Instant Message Box open and the text box is highlighted, you cannot control your Characters movements, it just goes straight. Please check this, as I don't think its just me. Otherwise love this.

I love this addon! But is there a way to keep the whispers from getting into my general chat box? I only want the whispers to be in WIM box instead of showing up in both...=/

There appears to be a conflict between this mod and FarmIt. They each work perfectly individually, but FarmIt only works sometimes if I have WIM enabled. I've also contacted the creator of FarmIt, so maybe you two could chat and figure out a fix. :)

Love this addon, busy mom that's AFK more than AK I can find whispers even with tradespam :) In options -> History 'Record chat' is greyed out for me, anything I can do about it?

Major problem with combat. any whisper that comes in during combat will continually repeat until UI is reloaded.

is there a specific reason why you negotiate the version on every FRIENDLIST_UPDATE, GUILD_ROSTER_UPDATE and PARTY_MEMBERS_CHANGED?
It should be enought to do this on PLAYER_LOGIN and when you join a party/raid since the others will do the same in these cases.
This would mean:
you join with a newer version -> your negotiate informs other users that are online
you join with an older version -> your negotiate makes other users inform you about a newer version

This change would remove a lot of addon traffic in larger guilds with many WIM users where every change in the roster makes all people resend their negotiate. Also if people are using addons that force updates to the frind or guild roster in order to get updated zone info it would make WIM no longer send out negotiates.
