Any chance of adding an option to filter out the PvP quests?
Yea, I'll try to add that.
Awesome, thanks!
I cant seem to make the World Quests with a check mark appear in my objective tracker. I disabled everything except for ElvUI and the objective tracker only shows my regular quests. Tried left, right, shift, control clicking and nothing. Any ideas?
How many normal quests do you have tracked? There is a limit to how man can be displayed and World Quests are low on priority.
That being said, this has nothing to do with this addon. It only interacts with tracking by letting you click on quests to track them. If its not displaying after showing a checkmark, then it is some other UI issue.
Seems to be an ElvUI issue. Wonder why.
Nice addon!
But I can't seem to track pet battle quests. I have one open in Val'sharah Q: [Help the Whelp] Reward: 20 Pet charms and it does not get listed when I look at the Val'sharah wq or even the wq as a whole.
The default UI has the ability to hide pet battles World Quests that the addon respects. You can toggle showing them by clicking on the spyglass in the top right of the world map.
Thanks for the fast answer. And sry you are right it was totally my fault xD
Superb addon, could you add a Filter to only see World Quests from a certain faction? Also a option to sort by Time would be great so that say 2 hours shows at the top while something with 2 days shows up more towards the bottom instead of a pure filter say <6 hours.
Also as another comment already said, a Notification and maybe even a Timer when the next WQ's will show up, maybe even something like "Alert me when World quests for Faction A are available", "Alert me when Items are available", "When Profession quests....", "when blood" and so on. So we could set checkmarks on Items/Rep and when new ones popup with that you will get a notification and maybe these WQ are highlighted in the list.
I have added an option to configure how the quests are sorted.
For your other suggestion, while I see the usefulness of this I am trying to keep this addon limited in scope. Instead of just making a general World Quest addon, I want to just focus on adding World Quests to the Quest list. I will think about if I can find a way to add a timer for next WQ's there, but I don't think there is space.
The sorting works great :)
Is there at least a possibility to add these little Emisary Icons as a Faction indicator where you currently see something like the PvP flag or a option to have a filter where you can select "Dreamweavers" and it will only show dreamweavers WQ?
Yea, I am going to add a filter by faction.
Hey, nice addon I like it. good map integration. I got some suggestions/features I'd like to see that would make it (imo) even better!
Features I'd like to see:
- Sorting feature (rather than filter on time, I prefer to sort on time (short to long)). This helps me quicker/more on prioritizing.
- Notification for when new world quests appear would be nice! (World Quester does this, it's got a minimap icon that 'lights up' when new ones are available (and marks them with 'new'). At the moment I'm running this addon alongside your addon for it's sorting feature and notification feature). Any form of notification can be good though, doesn't have to be the same.
- Would be cool if you could see party/guild members' world quests that run the same addon that they haven't finished yet so you can team up on the fly! (looked at some other addons, none seem to do this).
If those 2 (3) things get added would be awesome :) it's still good though regardless:) will continue to use it.
I have added an option to configure how the quests are sorted.
The other two features I think are out of scope for this addon, want to keep it more narrowly focused on adding World Quests to the quest list.
World Quest sorting works great, thanks :)
Understand you wanna keep your addon narrowly focused.
For the 'same world quest as party members' I was thinking along the lines of normal quest log feature with brackets next to it (questname [1], questname [2] etc for how many party members have it).
It's your addon though, and your call ofcourse:)
Thanks for the quick reply and quick fix! Rock on :P
Its something I will consider. Biggest thing holding me back from it is it will only work if the party members have the addon installed.
Yeah that's true :) It's unfortunate that sometimes the only way we can get something to work, is to have everyone have a specific addon.
Not sure how many people want this feature or how much effort it is to implement ^^ (maybe they don't know yet, that they want this :P).
When my guildies get on, I party with some of them and do the remaining world quests together. We have to see which world quest we all haven't done yet, either with voice or text chat: "Do you have quest x" or quest y".
Your feature that you can link the world quest name in chat comes in really handy for this, to ease that process :).
For our case (all of my guildies run your addon :D) it'd be much quicker if I could see that on the fly in the questlog when we party up.
So for me, a feature like this would be reason enough to 'tell' people to get your addon, rather than just 'suggest' it. xD
Anyway, still loving this addon though, it makes me and my guildies' lives so much easier :)
May I ask, what font system are you using that is making the fonts look so awesome in the Quest List? Pardon me for bothering you, it just looked really nice.
It just uses the system default font. In the screenshots it is using ElvUI to change that to "PT Sans Narrow".
