Cartographer 3.0
This is a map addon for World of Warcraft that replaces the map and offers shiny features.
The idea is for it to work very much like Google Maps, only in-game.
Cartographer 3.0 is brand new, "experimental" version of Cartographer.

goodjob
when i use "separate carto from mapworld blizzard" ; how can i access carto map?
1) Complete the emulation of Google Earth's zoom-in progression
a) Maximum zoom out should be identical to the maximum zoom out for Azeroth
We see three continents with an "outlands" globe at the bottom.
b) First level zoom in should be similar to the current maximum zoom out
We would see the continents given their zone borders.
c) Third level zoom should use fully revealed zone maps
We should NOT see zone maps feathered in from the lower resolution world map. This feathering makes the plugin look terrible. Also, just because I don't have the mouse over a zone doesn't mean I don't want to see that zone map. Limiting me to seeing only the zone I am in, the zone my mouse is over, and the zone it was previously over is annoying.
d) Fourth level zoom is great, unless you're in a cave / building.
There's not much to be done about caves, but for places like Ironforge or the Exodar, treating the cities like instances could be useful. See if you can separate or overlay the city's minimap on top of the zone minimap. As it is, mouseover a city and it might obscure your view of the minimap with the in game city area map: not a good thing.
2) Ensure POI accuracy
3) Add an option to allow players to "lock on" to the zone they're in. A scrolling map that follows the player marker is nice, but sometimes, you don't want your map shifting around on you, especially in BGs.
4) Re-incorporate "clicky" zooming alongside "scrolling" zooming. L-Click to zoom in to the next level, R-Click to zoom out to the previous, scrollwheel to zoom within and among all levels.
But there is a problem: Some of the dungeons on the eastern kingdom are in the wrong place on the map: The Stockade for instance, and Karazan, the icons are way of from where they actually are in the world.
2. Very few zones seem to have the cool detail map when I zoom in -- it just zooms in and goes dark. Disappointing since this is such a cool feature of this mod.
3. I don't seem to have instance maps any more. Is it because I disabled Instance POIs? Because I thought that was just for the notes, and most of them were in the wrong places anyway. I didn't change anything else besides just updating versions.
4. Why does every town and other point of interest throughout the world show up as an identical collection of AB icons (I think it was mine/blacksmith/stables with the mine icon half-blue)

Any way to restore the old note points but keep everything else the same?
Thanks.
