Table of Contents

Chatter is a comprehensive, lightweight, mega-configurable chat enhancement addon. It supports a whole bunch of stuff, including:

- Hiding buttons
- Custom aliases for channel names
- Coloring of player names by class or deterministic HSV formula, and player levels next to names
- Custom font and font size for your chat frames
- Custom background, border, and positioning for the edit box
- Option to let the edit box border color match the color of the channel you are typing in
- Channel colors remembered by name, rather than by number
- Scrolling your chat frames with the mouse wheel.
- Sticky channels, configurable
- Ability to copy a chat frame's contents to your clipboard
- Ability to copy URLs to your clipboard
- Ability to customize the background and border of your chat frames
- Timestamps
- A /tt command to send a tell to your target
- A module that turns the word "invite" into clickable links that let you invite the speaker.
- Highlights both for custom keywords in specific channels
- Chat fading toggles
- Text justification
- Autologging (Off by default)
- Alt linking
- Much larger and smaller chat frames than default
- A Groupsay (/gr) command to talk to your group, whether that's battleground, raid, or party.
- Chat Tab look-n-feel modifications
- Paging through chat tabs with the scroll wheel

I have problem as well, with the Highlights Module. It is somehow always set up to highlight my name, and yet, when I try to disable it, it always turns back on and re-adds my name even when the Checkbox for the Highlights Module is off. Is there a way to stop this from happening? I even tried to delete the file from the Modules folder, and still didn't stop.

"Alerts you when someone says a keyword or speaks in a specified channel."

I'd love to specify which channels to watch and have it sent to sct... like the filters for sound alerts, would be cool to have the same options for which channels to send to sct rather than using keywords(unless there is a way to do this I'm missing).

well.. perhaps it's not this addon, I turned it off, now my chat still displays the text I set from chatter, and I still have the problem.

using this addon, I simply cant read my own, or anyone elses text. I've tried redownloading it and reloading my ui, as well as changing the settings. The only thing I can read is messages from other addons (/omen comes up with the omen commands etc) and things such as the Guild Message of the Day when I log on. Any suggestions?

1. When I get incoming whisper all my tabs except current disappear for up to 2 minutes.
2. This mod removes filter buttons from Combat tab.

I love this feature but I can't find an option to specify which channel to watch and it's irritating having my scrolling battle text spammed because people are saying "BRB", "AFK", "help" etc in trade and general.

Would it be possible to add an option to only highlight chat while in instances, or is there a way to just watch the party/raid channel that I didn't notice?

Is it possible for chatter to add time stamps to the combat log? I looked in the timestamp section and the Chat box 2 option is conspicuously absent, am I overlooking something or is this intentional?

I use Cellular instead of WIM (less bloat, more customization) and have no compatibility issues with Chatter.

I use this and WIM and don't get double whipsers. Can you elabroate on double whispers? Like you get 2 whispers in the WIM frame or someting?

Ok im here to ask the authors here and i will be bothering the authors of WIM if they can work together to solve a problem that pops up only when this mod and WIM are active. I get a double whisp message from people when this mod and WIM are active so if you and that other author could talk this through would help alot since this is the best chat mod i found that doesnt want to take over my mod real estate

Two things. One about chat tabs. I'd like to see them always visible. Not movable, as the "tabs" module offers, just visible as they are.

Another about font. I have ChatFont disabled, but from time to time my chat fornt size being reset to 13(?) at login. Annoying...

how do i set the chat tabs??? i want tabs like in firefox for every chat channel but i don't know how?!?!?

Chatter is not working nicely with IgnoreMore ( http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/fileinfo.php?id=5186 ). It works in the first (Default) chat window but I have 2--the first one outputs /say, /yell etc. and the second outputs guild channel etc.--it is in this 2nd window that messages from people I have on ignore (via IgnoreMore) are still visible..

The IgnoreMore page says: "Chatframe addons should query the chat filters introduced in 2.4", hopefully this helps.
